I got this product for my daughter's room for Christmas. Real bummer was I could not set it up for her because it didn't come with the cables. I understand that for $29.99, but would have been nice if the box said, "Do you need cables?" indicating they are needed, or the Best Buy Associate made mention of it. Heck the cables are half the price of the DVD player! But once we had the cables, it worked great! I hooked it up to an Insignia 32" television, also a Christmas present. Happy little girl now!

This is our 3rd one (my kids like to shove things into the players). They work great and get the job done. Long lasting and easy to use. Great player for a great price!

This is a no frills DVD player with only three buttons on the player itself but a fully functional remote. Perfect for the TV in the spare room. Note that it does not come with any cables (also there is no HDMI output) so be sure to have the needed video and audio cables. Also, the factory default setting is for progressive scan so, if you are seeing a double picture, turn that setting off using the remote control for the DVD player.

This is an awesome dvd player, and you can't beat the price! Easy to operate and small enough to fit in tight places! Gonna buy more for my guest rooms!

This thing gets used about 4-6 hours a week. No problems so far, but I've been trying to make sure all the DVDs don't have kid prints on them before they go in. Still don't know why their hands are clean, but are awful when they touch a DVD.

Simple, cost efficient, movies show well. It also comes with a romote control.

There's definitely better quality DVD players out there. And with this being $30 and much more well known brands starting at $35, one should just get a well known brand. The player itself ain't bad, it's no doubt the infrared sensors that are messed up as it's the remote (or a universal one) that has issues here. And let's be honest, most everyone today relies heavily on the remote. This might not be too bad in a trailer, garage or someplace it won't get much use, maybe even be acceptable for the kids, but as any kind of main player, one would do best to spend a couple of bucks more for a better brand. Oh, I should add that it started out brilliant and it wasn't until about 3 months in that I had remote issues. First, I replaced the batteries, then got a universal remote, then got a better brand when everything else failed.

I purchased this for my mother, easy to hook up and easy for her to use.

Perfect for a tight budget. No HDMI or headphone input, but the remote control was key for me, also came with the red, yellow, and white connecting wires.

Great product for the price. I like Insignia products they always last a long time and are a great value.

It's great for the price, don't expect anything highend or be surprised if it freezes up every now and then. Other than that it works just fine.
