Was easy to set up for hard drive recovery which what I needed

Dynex may get a bad rap for their products being lower end. This is definitely not the case with this enclosure. You can spend a lot of money on out of the box systems with subpar drives, or you can purchase your own Serial ATA drive and this enclosure and easily make a backup drive that will provide you all the free space you will need.

Bought this product to store additional photos on. Easy to use.

Simple to install working great with my 3TB WD drive.

I wanted to down load info from 3 old computer hard drives (so I could trash the hard drives and re-cycle the associated computers). Works good. Took a little thought to get it going. I've had computers for over 30 years and, normally they work and I don't mess with them. I guess that makes me a newby as far as this sort of thing goes.

It Was simple to put together and was plug and play

I had a 2TB SATA drive I had removed from another system that was collecting dust that I wanted to use as an external back-up drive. This was the perfect solution. Installation was quick and easy and everything worked perfectly. My only complaint is the need for an "power Brick" to power it rather than using USB.

Removed HDD from my old system, but forgot to transfer some files prior to switch to new computer. This was an inexpensive, very simple solution and I can continue to use the old HDD for backups, etc. Had I known about this option, I might have skipped the Western Digital My Book drive!

Good product, compatible with mac n pc. good price. Bad design. they could have done better. top is screw on and is very hard to interchange drive. drive inside u have to slide in, but there is no support on sides to make it firm. it moves around even after you screw the top part.

I had a 500 GB internal hard drive from an old computer. I bought the Dynex 3.5 inch Serial ATA Hard Drive enclosure to make it an external drive, Installation took just a minute or two and now I have a 500 GB data storage USB drive to use when I need it. And it works great!

There is a problem with a lot of drive enclosures and seagate 3TB drives. The computer will only see 800GB with most drive enclosures, but this Dynex enclosure allows the computer to see all 3TB. It solved my problem quickly and easily and looked good doing it.

It was a great day when I discovered this hard drive enclosure. I was able to transfer the internal parts of my old drive to the new enclosure. Having this enclosure made for a much more reliable connectivity and sturdy hard drive for many years to come.

I had to recover the contents of my hard drive after my computer failed due to Windows 7. This was a quick, easy, and a cost savings solution for me rather than having to take my system to someone and pay a "chunk-o-change" for them to do it.

It was hard finding this item locally since it was packaged under the old branding and seemingly phased out at the time but no isses. Works as expected and well built. Much better than blindly ordering a product sight unseen online.

I am not very experienced with computers or electronics, but this product was very simple to figure out and use. ( I thought I would have to get one of my teenagers to use it for me.) Thank you to the BestBuy employee who recommended it!

I bought this to use on my 1tb drive that was acting up. I could install a new drive and get my desktop working again, then used this to search the old drive for data later as time allowed--- took a lot of work- many sectors were bad...
