    I needed to expand my laptops USB connections. I bought this unit and had no trouble using all ports. The only issue comes when I have all the devices working at the same time, it gets slow. But I did expect that.

    This is a good device. Cheapest in its' class and gets the job done...the problem that the ports that you plug stuff into are kind of loose. That's no good...so you have to be very careful which can be frustrating.

    I bought this as a means to connect multiple external hard drives to my laptop. However, the hard drives that were connecting through the USB hub would not stay mounted and connected on my MacBook. The would connect for a few second and then eject. I had no issues with the hard drives that were plugged directly into the laptop USB ports.

    These hubs might work well with Windows machines, but they are underpowered for Mac. I have two and both disconnect my external drives with no apparent warning causing loss of info.

    Bought this item because plugging in an external hard drive kept giving me the message that too much power was being drawn from the computer. Was told this item would solve the issue. It did not.

    Doesn't work with high speed devices like portable memory hard drives or DVD players. Does work with my wireless mouse and syncing my iPod.
