The studs above my mantle are not centered. There was no way to use this mount without having my tv be 2 inches off center. Returned this and bought an Echogear from Amazon. I highly recommend that one. It was big enough, strong enough and allowed me to mount the mounting plate 2 inches off center but yet still have tv on center.

I can lift the left up with a finger but it falls right back down. What can I do to fix this without drilling new holes?

It moves left and right bug barely tilts up and down and it requires some force too make it move. I have a 58” tv so it basically stays in one position so i dont have too push on the tv too make it move

I understand this is a bit of an inconvenience for you. However, allow me to comment that the stiffness of the mount is required for the TV's own safety. This is so the TV does not get pushed easily in case of an accident or maybe moves unintentionally on an emergency like an earthquake. The mount is quite wide where it mounts to both the wall and the TV, but the vertical angle adjustment mechanism is quite small making it a not very stiff TV mount.

It was very sturdy coming out of the box. Unfortunately, I was not informed that this mount only works for 16” stud spacing. More than 15 days after purchasing, I go to install the mount and discover I have 22” stud spacing. Of course it is now beyond the 15 day return policy period so I cannot return the product. Be VERY careful when purchasing large appliances and accessories from Best Buy. With their short return policy, if you do not set up a product immediately and run in to incompatibility issues within your home you cannot return the product or exchange it. For me, this means I will not be making semi-major or major purchases from Best Buy again. I am not an install immediately type of person; others may be. I will warn my friends and family about this policy and advise accordingly.
