I bought an internal DVD burner Light scribe (Hp1070d) and a LG Insigna DVD/VHS combo machine both from Best Buy at the time I purchase these disks. 1 in 6 will burn with read errors at 99% complete, and of those that did burn one 1 of 4 would play. In point of fact, the disk that would not play will freeze the player and the only alternative is to power it down, then hit eject to power it back up to remove the disc before it trys to read it again. Buyer Beware!! They may be cheap to buy, but you will be sadly disappointed. All others cause me no problems: I.E. Memorex, Sony, Verbatim, Imation, etc.

False Economy

These Dvd's are frustrating and next to useless. I've encountered 4 to 5 failed burns to every 1 successful burn. That means I only get about 10 or 12 good burns out of the 50 pack. Slower speeds and different attempts on multiple different burning utilities garner the same result. I'm using a decent panasonic (matsushita) burner, so it's not the problem. In the end these end up being as expensive or even more than a decent name brand. Pay the little extra for decent DVD's.

Disc Reject

I did a test on the above disc. Manufacture ID is Verbatim and Disc ID is MCC. I thought these disc were great until I ran those test. The PI and PO failures results were terrible! My computer hung at (disc quality test) 50%. Surface test resulted in many (red) bad areas. In my opinion, the above disc(s) are Verbatim rejects selling at value line. I can't believe Verbatim would place there name in such a bad product.

worst DVD-R's i ever bought

i bought the 50 pk a few months back coz they were on sale really cheap so i thought i'd give them a try to use just to experiment on with different burning projects. that way if i screwed up, i hadn't lost much. needless to say i'm glad i didnt buy these for my permanent backups. ive used all but 6 of the discs and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been bad. it skips, pauses, freezes, audio out of sync. you get the picture. the reviews seem to be for the most part: 5 star "loved it" or 1 star "hated it." the manufacturer code is MCC 03RG20, which is the same used on verbatim discs which are my DVD-R of choice and one of the best, most reliable, and respected names in blank DVD's. so maybe the dynex discs are the verbatim "rejects." my advice is - dont take any chances. research what brand and type of blank disc works best for your player(s) and wait for a good sale on some verbatim's or sony's at best buy. they go on sale very frequently.

Okay for Back Up

I bought these to make a birthday DVD for my mom with copies for all the family members. When I went to play it at the party it wouldn't play, fortunately I had made a copy with a different brand DVD and could use that for the party. I did end up using the rest just as back up DVD's for my iTunes library and have had no problem with them.
So they are okay depending on what you need them for.

Beware this DVD for backing up your DVD collection. VERY poor quality, every movie I have backed up on this DVD has looked like there's a film over it no matter what quality the original DVD was and even with a HDTV. Out of the 50 DVD's in this pack, 23 of them were useless. I have been backing up DVD's for YEARS and have NEVER had problems like this, wasted hours trying to find why DVD's won't back up only to find out it's the (so called blank) DVD I baught. I will NEVER buy this product again and would NEVER recomend it to an enemy! BEWARE! You get what you pay for with this product!!!

Even though the price is cheap on this product the quality of it really is bad. I would really suggest buying a sony or verbatim, even though its a bit more pricey, its worth it! Trust me.

we bought a 50 count spindle and 75% have thrown error codes, not from the start mind you but half if not 3/4 of the movie. The ones that did record will not play again even on the system that they were recorded on. I know they're cheap but they're junk you get what you pay for.

I bought three spindles, but when I opened one and the none of the DVDs worked (I tried in a few different drives), I was only happy that I hadn't opened the other two. BEWARE.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. After one year one of my dvd players and my Sony playstation will not read from the middle of the disk to the end of the disk. I guess you get what you pay for.

Gave these a shot for the price, what a mistake. About 75% of them come up with disc errors or the video that transfered has many skips. Threw the rest out, I guess you can purchase them for coasters.

these are the only discs i use. i've got 3 dvd recorders and a computer and i've NEVER had a problem w/any DYNEX dvd i've used.
none of my dvd players (6) have a problem playing them back, either.
a lot of people on here are saying these are really cheap...they're the same as most any other brand, made in the same factories as 'big name' brands (i.e. when there was that peanut butter recall in 2007...the only brands affected were 'peter pan' and 'sam's choice' b/c...they're made in the same factories...they're the same thing w/diff. packaging).
i've actually had a spindle of these w/ a FUJI disc in it.
for those of you who are having problems, you might try popping a lens cleaner before you try recording/burning...lasers can be weird when they're dirty.
these are the only discs i recommend to family/friends.

Inexpensive and reliable DVD-R media

I was surprised to see all of the negative reviews of these DVDs. I was skeptical about purchasing them myself, but at only $9 for 50 I couldn't resist. I figured even if half were coasters I'd still be ahead of the game. But I've used about half of the 50 so far and not had a single coaster among them, and the movies I've backed up with my burner play perfectly in four separate DVD players. For those who want to know, the manufacturer ID is MCC 03RG20 (manufactured by Mitsubishi, who consistently produces quality DVD media).

I went thru my first 100 spindle and tried other brands because this was not on sale. What a mistake!! I threw away disks with the other brands (@1/3 of spindle) but not with Dynex. I have consistently had great burns and the data and movies play fine. I will not buy another brand.

just like the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". Read blank dvd reviews on the web and educate yourself. Do not buy dvds other than Japan or Singapore produced.

i usually buy these when they're on sale. they're cheap and worth it. hasn't failed on me. if it ever failed for you then check to see if you're buying the right kind for your burner. sometimes burners might be the problem and not the dvdrs.
