    I use 4 external hard drives and needed something with enough for plugins for those and all the other stuff one used with with usb plugs. Works very well.

    Plug and play basically. Increased my USB ports from 4 to 7. My computer is 'ancient' so USB 2.0 is no issue for me.

    My previous hub blew up when I plugged the wrong power cable into it. This one works nicely. The previous one ran hot. This doesn't. This does have a bright blue LED letting you know it's on. It was distracting when the lights were off, so I turned the hub over so the LED is on the bottom.
