    As long as this adapter isn't used in a high stress situation where it's being constantly hooked up and unhooked to be moved, I expect it to last indefinitely. Very satisfied.

    Great product since it can be hard to find pieces like this. The problem is that when an input is switched, sometimes you have to unplug and replug it in to stop the buzzing noise.

    I used the converter to connect a Sony Internet Player to a Sony receiver that had only analog audio inputs. It was easy to connect and worked right out of the box. It was perfect for this application.

    I used this device to connect the optical audio output on my new tv to the RCA audio outputs on my older surround sound system. It's working wonderfully. I definitely recommend this item.

    Set up new Direct TV receiveer and my old analog surround sound could not link. went on line for a converter box and best buy beat on line pricing. worked out great
