Customers are saying

Customers admire how the thermal paste is easy to apply and spread evenly. They also appreciate its affordability and effectiveness in lowering CPU temperatures. While some users experienced overheating issues, others found the consistency of the paste to be a bit too liquidy.

Keep it at room temp or below if possible before using, keeps the mess to a minimum

    Stop-gap solution for repair

I used this compound to repair my out-of-warranty Xbox 360. I needed a stop-gap solution because I wanted to see if I could actually succeed at doing the repair myself. I guess I didn't use enough the first time, because although the repair worked, the machine was not working after a week.

works great for low end computers/ laptops, the paste is really sticky and with the small tool was hard to get even coat

If you want to cool down you heating CPU it does a good job, but it has too much compound in it for one CPU, so I'm not sure whether the extra compound will last till I need it next time...! (Reduce capacity of the compund = low cost)

The Dynex Thermal Paste (a.k.a TIM paste) is very poor. I ran out of Arctic Silver while water blocking two ATI HD 7970’s using EK Full-COver Waterblocks. The paste broke down due to GPU normal operation (not overclocked) and poured down my graphics card onto my motherboard ( I have a custom horizontal mount) during operation. If you want to increase your longevity and ROI do not ever skimp on thermal paste. Stay with Arctic Silver brand as Arctic Silver has many types depending on your needs.

    Poor performance

After a few hours of video editing and format conversions, my temp would skyrocket. You could smell this paste disintegrate when you push your computer to it's limits. Stick with Arctic Silver, which Best Buy does not want to stock (does not like competition aparantly). This paste would do fine for a poser or someone that wants basic low temperature computing. Good thing Intel processors are forgiving to overheating, otherwise I would be out $500 plus income loss for a couple days.

When I opened this and put it on the processor it came out like liquid elmers glue. Waste of money and waste of time. This is the worst product Best Buy sells. Do not waste your time and money on buying this compound.

    Doesn't stay on heakstink

A week after I applied it and put my CPU Fan on it, it leaked down and on to my other Motherboard parts. If you have get this use only a pea sized drop. something around 3-4 ml. If possible avoid this product and get one that is thick and is paste like.

I bought this thing for my Xbox 360 but its just the worst thing to go with. It just won't stick on CPU and GPU. And you can't make contact between heatsinks and CPUs to keep it cold. Wonder why they sell something like this
