    Vacuum did a great job picking up dirt. Our house is a little complicated of a design and it had issues returning back home to charge in between battery life.

    I love this little robot. Once it learns the house it does a great job. Just have to remember to empty the container. I usually run it while we are away for the day and it cleans up pretty much every area I wanted it to. Just gotta run it once a day.

    The Dyson 360 Eye, has made my life easier! I care for an elderly parent with COPD, so Dyson has kept the house free of dust/clean flooring. Works great 100% of the time and starts by the sound of my voice due to technology. I hope many others have similar reviews.

      Hi Chip, this is Aimee with Dyson. I am sorry to hear of the unique experience you've had with your Dyson 360 Eye vacuum cleaner. The run time of the product is up to 45 minutes. However, the cleaning time is theoretically indefinite, provided that the bin is emptied once it is full. The robot detects when it’s low on battery, returns to the dock to recharge then carries on where it left off. It will cover the entire accessible space, recharging when necessary.

      During development we investigated the height of rugs, thresholds and small steps in people’s homes to establish what height the robot should be able to climb. Thanks to Dyson 360 Eye robots tank track technology, the robot is able to climb 15-20mm steps (depending on floor surface) which covers the sort of transitions seen in the majority of people’s homes.

      As a precaution the Dyson 360 Eye vacuum will stall when it comes into contact with rug tassels. It will stop, signal to turn off the brush bar and suction, then illuminate the troubleshoot lights to warn the user. It will then need to be reset by the user and it will continue its cleaning task.

    Excellent Mapping Tech.

    Provides the same if not a slightly bettter cleaning than the Roomba. However, the mapping ability of the Dyson is fantastic. Biggest complaint is the storage capacity. People with pets needs to run it daily to avoid clogging.

    This little guy is the perfect addition to the family. With a simple push on the button on top of your Dyson, it will do a fabulous job sweeping up those crumbs, hair and dust on carpet, tile, hardwood, etc. A key to the success of this little guy is that he remembers where he left off (when the battery runs low) and goes back to that spot and continues his cleaning. AND you can't have him start his cleaning right from the Dyson App so your house is cleaned by the time you return home. I now have two of them: one for upstairs and one for downstairs.

    It is not what I expected from Dyson I own 3 Dyson vacuum cleaners, 2 fans- air cleaners and they are Amaizing but this little guy is not better than my 6 year old roomba. Never thought I would ever return a Dyson product

      Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. We’re thrilled to hear that your experience with your Dyson machines has been amazing thus far. It is most disappointing to hear that the Dyson 360 Eye Robot has not met your expectations.

      You may be interested to know that the Dyson 360 Eye features some very unique technology. Many machines rely on bounce navigation. These machines randomly move around a room in the hope that they may cover the whole floor surface. In reality they usually cover some areas many times and worse they fail to clean some areas at all. The owner is left with patchy cleaning and a lottery as to whether the room is completely clean. To be able to achieve even a moderate level of performance these machines need to run for a long time to increase the chances of cleaning a whole room, but can get stuck in one location whilst never making it to others.

      By utilizing the 360 degree camera on top of the machine can see around the whole room at once so it can accurately triangulate its position. The machine uses landmarks within images to establish how it has moved between each frame and to update its model of the environment. Our robot has been designed to look up at a 45 degree angle i.e. at the walls of a room and the objects within the room because these offer more information than the ceiling. Using patterns of high contrast within the image such as corners and straight lines, the machine tracks how the features move relative to the robot. Once the robot knows the position of these features it can use them to accurately place itself within the room which is analogous to sailors using stars to navigate boats. The navigation system enables the robot to know its orientation and position with sufficient accuracy to ensure a thorough and efficient clean.

    First of all yes it does vacuum well. Unfortunately it never could find it's way back to the base to recharge itself. It wanders around my house like a lost puppy until the battery dies and I have to physically place it on the charging base.So much for being a robo vacuum. I will be returning it for a Dyson stick vac robo vacs are just not ready yet.

    I’ve had several bot vacuums and several Dysin uprights (which I love) so I thought this would be the best of both worlds. Well, it was terrible unfortunalty. It didn’t even work once. I returned it immediately.

    I have had other robot vacuums but this one is far superior to them It picks up well I only have tile flooring now where before I had carpet too. This vacuum also does not get caught on furniture like the others My only issue is it does not always return to its docking station I how ever can live with that I also like the ease of programming it to run

    It took almost a day to clean up the down sterns ! it did ok job my wife brought it back I dont think this things can handle a large home this are made for small rooms clean up and that is it.

    Had to send my 360 back to Dyson because it kept malfunctioning. I still have high hopes for it but I'm waiting to see if the replacement works properly.

    Returning

    I have spent about 35 days with this thing. I bet I've sent 20 emails to Dyson. Endless support requests. Bottom line is this thing is a failure. It's designed to work in a 1 bedroom studio apartment of about 300 square feet. Problem is, people that can afford this thing most likely don't have this living arrangement. I'd like to think the problem is all software. But, when it can't even start because of camera initialization failure, I believe it could be hardware. In addition from the other numerous problems I could list, but won't, for fear of wearing out my keyboard, the tracks don't work all that well. It gets stuck in places my Neato doesn't. Too bad...I was excited for this.
