Love it! Dries my hair (with the diffuser) in around 15-20mins. Very easy to use and lighter than my exblow dryers lol. You can set up on your app your usage time and sequence as well.

Packaging – It comes with a matching leather presentation case that is cushioned with a soft velvety fabric to hold the styler and most of the attachments; however, the diffuser doesn’t fit. For such a large case it would be nice if it was designed in a way to hold the diffuser as well. The lid has a convenient slot to hold a phone or tablet to use with the i.d Curl App. Device - Sleek ceramic pink/rose gold multi-styler with matching rose gold and black attachments. There are 3 heat and 3 speed settings that pair with the app to create seamless professional grade hairstyles. Included Attachments - • Conical barrel - This is more tapered than the original 1.2 inch barrels. It does not work as well with extra-long hair due to it not adequately holding the ends if they are too wet or too dry. The coanda technology works better when i.d. Curl is enabled with this attachment. The angle also matters for long and extra-long hair. Holding it perpendicular to the floor seems to work better compared to holding it parallel. This attachment is also good for quick touch ups on completely dry hair. Note that it is best to style when curly hair is about 80-90% dry. If your hair is totally dry, it doesn’t grab it well and you will lose volume. Any wetter and it can get frizzy. I would recommend doing a rough dry first using the fast dryer attachment and then using the conical barrel attachment. I still like my 1.2” long barrel the best for long and thick hair. The new barrel is probably better for short-mid length hair. • Large round volumizing brush - This brush is big and perfect for that voluminous blowout you would get at the salon. It is perfect for medium to extra-long hair because it is so big. • Wide tooth comb - A pick style comb with extra oomph. It helps with teasing at the roots for volume and helps to lengthen curls. • Diffuser - Splits into two pieces for either natural waves or tight curls/coils. It is easier to hold than a traditional hair dryer which is great for curly folks that don’t have the stamina or time to hold a diffuser for extended periods. • Firm smoothing brush – It has firm bristles to smooth hair out. It is great for taming flyaway hairs. • Fast dryer – It is great for a rough dry or going from wet to damp hair. It gets you ready for styling quickly. • Filter cleaning brush – It makes cleaning and maintenance easy and foolproof. App - The Airwrap i.d. pairs with the MyDyson app along with other Dyson products that you own. Once the Airwrap i.d. is turned on it will connect to the app via Bluetooth. Once connected filter status, heat settings (increased or lowered temps), support, guides, and more are available. The app has new features and customizations which sets the Dyson Airwrap i.d. apart from the original Dyson Airwrap. Warranty – It comes with a 2-year limited warranty. Registering your product via the app is seamless and quick. Overall, the Dyson Airwrap i.d is a professional grade tool that is perfect for those who want salon quality results at home. It has a slight learning curve to master but the various attachments and tutorials make it easy to learn and be successful.

My daughter has curly hair (3A) and I have wavy hair (2A), and both of us tend to style our hair the same way every single day so I was excited to find the Dyson Airwrap id MultiStyler for curly hair to give us some more styling ideas. TL:DR Summary - Pros: Styles and dries MUCH faster than hair dryer and curler No other attachments or devices needed for styling waves / curls Consistent and defined curls Super easy and fast to use App guided styling and hold times based on hair profile No heat damage to hair due to optimized hold times Cons: It takes a few tries to get the hang of having hair pulled onto the Airwrap barrel The styler is slightly bulkier than most, making it harder to curl the back sections In the box is a travel / valet case for storing the components, the lid comes off and you can prop your phone in the built-in holder to make it easier for using the Dyson Airwrap i.d. app. The styler comes with 6 different styling attachments (fast dryer, wide tooth comb, diffuser, smoothing brush, volumizer brush, Airwrap barrel). Setup is easy, install the app, and turn on the styler to connect via bluetooth. The app will walk you through a profile setup that asks questions about hair type as well as hair goals. To use, follow the app prompts, first wrapping, hot air for styling and then cold air to finish. The app will give you a countdown for each step. Note you can use it without the app, however you will not have customized timing for your hair type, but you can hear the air speed change when the cycle is complete and ready for the next section of hair. As far as actually using the styler, I find that while it is bigger than the average styling tool, it is weighted very well, so I didn't get tired of holding it or find it awkward as I switched hands. While most of the styling attachments are traditional and straight forward, the Airwrap barrel took a minute for me to figure out. After you section your hair, you can hold small sections of hair about 1/4 up the Airwrap barrel and the air flow will wrap your hair around the barrel, no rolling required. Once your hair wraps around the barrel it is held in place while the styler does both hot and cold air cycles. You'll find that how quick you can curl depends on the type and thickness of hair. I have fine coarseness and thin hair, so I can dry and curl in 10 minutes, whereas my daughter has medium coarseness and very thick hair, it takes her double the time. Another nice feature is that the Airwrap has a directional switch that you can turn based on which way you want your curls to twist. I really like the fact that I can dry and style in one. I did a quick 2 minute sweep over my hair with the comb attachment after getting out of the shower and then went straight into styling. The Airwrap barrel is tapered, so it can get close to the scalp and I have defined curls that are consistent all the way down. Curls are soft, and maintain their shape throughout the day with minimal product, normally I'd need to use almost double to keep definition throughout the work day. Swapping between attachments is easy, there is a locking button that you slide to release, then the new attachment will automatically lock into place as it's positioned on the styler. When done, the styler cools down fast, and attachments can be set on the valet to finish cooling if you need to run out the door. Overall, both my daughter and I love the ease of use of this styler, using the app has optimized the amount of time it takes to style hair, without causing heat damage. Curls are defined and uniform throughout, so the end result looks like someone with a lot more skill styled my hair.

It’s lightweight. It’s sleek. The tools are great for curly hair. It works as intended. Now I only own one other Dyson hair product but my biggest gripe was Dyson not providing a carry or storage bag of some sort and I think they may have listened. Now I’m not saying it was my review that made them do something, but I will die peacefully believing that, hahaha. Although it’s not a bag, the storage case is welcomed, happily. You can’t have 1,000 large accessories and expect people to just throw them about in a cabinet. There is one downside. The diffuser just never belongs anywhere because it just doesn’t fit in the case. So I guess throwing one accessory haplessly in the back of a cabinet is better than throwing 1,000. So I’ll give them that. Anywho, I love the haptic feedback I get once I turn off the airwrap. It’s definitely not needed but it’s nice. It heats up immediately and I like the simplicity of the buttons on this. It even has a filter that’s easily accessible to clean. I wish they provided the filter cleaning brush, it’s such a small thing that could’ve been included and dirt into the case, but it’s for purchase if you want it. It’s magnetic and you can lose it since it’s over the cord. Good thinking Dyson. The brush like accessories works really well for my hair, but it is super short cut and curly. So it’s not difficult to manage with any tools. My daughter however, has long curly hair and it handled it beautifully. Each accessory comes with its own unique use. Of course we are in the age of the “app”. I still think it’s ridiculous for tools such as a hair drier, blower tool to come which such gimmicky things. But that’s my personal opinion. It’s definitely not needed to use this and most likely just like me you’ll forget the app even exists by second use. So it has you create an account, sigh. And set up your curling profile. Unfortunately, the id curl tutorial does not work in app. So you can’t complete that activity and finish your hair profile. So at this time I don’t know if maybe I’m missing out on other features that only the app could provide. But all in all the app is user friendly. I don’t see any real benefit for it because it only works if the wand is on. And you have the app open. So once you begin drying, you aren’t going to be on your phone to check its status or have it count down. I did notice that on the collar where you attach the device it does seem to be separating. It was like that out of the box. Now it’s on there solid, I believe, as I haven’t noticed it moving or separating further when I attach or detach an attachment. Time will tell. Look it may seem like I’m complaining about this airwrap because of my criticism of the app, and other small things, but it simply works. It just works. I can’t disagree with that. If you have it to spend and want it, I say get it.

I've been wanting the dyson airwrap for quite some time now. This is absolutely worth the money and then some. I'm not one to curl my hair nornally. However, this does it so quickly and efficiently that it's getting curled regularly. I can feel my hair is healthier without the heat damage. This innovative styling tool has captured the attention of many. Its unique design promises a gentler approach to hair styling. Let me start by saying how much I have wanted the Dyson Airwrap, and I am so happy with it. It did not disappoint one bit. The fact that they have this multi-styler for curly+coily hair is even better. I have coily 4b- 4c hair, and it works so well on my hair. It cut down the dry time by so much, and it makes it so much easier for me to straighten my hair (when I want to). I love the size of the wand base because it makes it so much easier to hold and use. The firm smoothing brush is definitely my go-to attachment because it works so well to dry my hair while brushing through my coily hair. The wide-tooth comb is also another favorite attachment. It allows me to keep the cool setting while drying my hair without pulling through my curls and keeping them in place. The diffuser is also a great attachment to keep your curls locked in. I just need to find the right products to keep my hair hydrated because my hair can feel so dry sometimes, but this diffuser is going to be great to use when paired with the right product. Lastly, the barrel to curl your hair is so awesome. It took me a minute to figure out how to use it, but when I realized how the hair just wraps around the barrel when holding it properly, I was truly amazed. I ended up getting rid of my old curling iron and donating my old hair dryer. This has everything you need, along with a cute case to place all your attachments and the base. I cannot say how much I love this multi-styler and how perfectly it works on my coily hair. I love that you can use it hot or just use the cool settings to dry your hair. I downloaded the app, and you can adjust the times based on your hair texture and your needs. I am a beginner at this, but I think this multi-styler is going to be a staple in my hair care routine, and I am so excited to have it. Everything feels well-made from the attachments to the base to the plug. The only issue I had with the app was the introductory tutorial. It would not load or work even when I connected my device to it via Bluetooth. Thank goodness for tutorial videos all over the internet and on YouTube. I would def recommend this to everyone.

Right out of the box—even before pairing via Bluetooth—the Ceramic Pink/Rose Gold finish feels robust and well-balanced in hand. After configuring my hair profile in the MyDyson app, the i.d. curl pattern automatically sets airflow and heat. 13-blade Digital Motor V9 spins at up to 110,000 rpm to generate 3.2 kPa of pressure to create the Coanda effect: hair curls itself around the Conical Barrel or Firm Smoothing Brush without hand-winding. In practice, that translates to being able to achieve 80 percent dryness using the Fast Dryer attachment, and then immediately change to the Conical Barrel for set curls—all within a single session. The Wave + Curl Diffuser gives me precise curl definition: in Dome mode (no prongs) I get stretched S-waves, and in Diffuse mode (prongs) I get root lift and volume. The Wide-Tooth Comb attachment is ideal for straightening tight coils before styling, cutting detangling time in half. Whilst styling, intelligent heat control makes over 40 temperature readings per second to eliminate heat peaks above 150 °C, and the negative-ion generator eradicates static and frizz. If there is a learning curve, it's familiarizing yourself with the personalized routines within the app and switching between six attachments. At $599, it's a purchase, but for technical performance—air-powered styling, quick heat sampling, and Bluetooth customization—it's hard to beat.

The packaging is big and a bit overwhelming, at first, but dang... Dyson knows how to present a product and make the recipient feel special! This set is beautiful, which is the first thing that stood out to me, and the fact that it comes with it's own container makes moving it around the house or taking it with you on a trip, so easy! Now, that being said, the container takes up some real estate so if you're flying and only using a carry-on, well this would take up a serious amount of that space. The fact that they were so thoughtful in the design, though, that they included a little lip on the inside of the top so that you can properly set up your phone for use as you're drying is just a chef's kiss of consideration for their customers!!! The app is easy to install and easy to get going with, however you should set aside a bit of time to get yourself really set up for the best uses of each attachment. As a busy mom, it was hard for me to commit to that time for the first couple of uses, but now that I have sat down and gone through the set up... it's totally worth it! I LOVE the round brush as it is super easy on my hair, even in the current "shedding season" and the dryer is REALLY quiet which was a great change from just about every other blowdryer I've encountered. My "hearing loss" notification on my smart watch hasn't been set off once and I've used the dryer (and it's other attachments) a half dozen times now... my sensitive ears thank Dyson so much!!!

I don't often style my hair because it takes too much time. Drying/heating up curling iron, going section by section to curl every strand - - I just don't have the time or energy as a mom with two young kids! Every day I pull it back and honestly, I've started to feel like the lack of doing my hair has translated into me giving up on my appearance. So I pulled the trigger to see if the Airwrap i.d. Multistyler could speed up the styling process, and I have to say - I am SO pleasantly surprised! While I've had the Dyson hairdryer for a few years, this tool is a way better investment with much more versatility. What I love: - Unlike the dryer, the attachments STYLE while drying. Note - you do need to get hair mostly dry before curling, but the various attachments (diffuser and smoothing brush) dry hair quickly without causing frizz. Even when I stopped at this stage and didn't use the curling attachment, my hair had more volume and was noticeably smoother than just blow drying. - Fewer uncurled strangler pieces. Because the device is a literal VACUUM, it sucks the hair around the curling rod. I found that I kept going "oh wow" because it got all the little strands. - Easy to switch curling directions. I always found it to be hard to curl one side because curling away from my face was easier on one side vs the other. The curling tool has a knob at the top that you turn when you want to go in the other direction, making curling away from your face really simple. - Won't get caught in the cord. I always felt like my curling iron cords were getting twisted when I'd curl my hair, but the cord on the Airwrap i.d. actually rotates, which is oddly cool and super unique. - Cold blast sets curl really well. I didn't know this was a thing, but I found that after wrapping with heat and then holding the curl with the cold air sets the curl MUCH better. - This was actually fun! Using this actually felt like more of a fun activity than a 'I need to hurry and get this over with' type chore. What I don't love: - The box is giant. This makes sense because there are so many tools that come with it, but I would never bring this when traveling because it takes up way too much space. - The app is hit or miss. The App took a few tries to get set-up because my internet connection wasn't strong enough, and when it was, it kept saying to check internet connection. This was frustrating since the i.d. differentiator can only be set up through the app. Once I got this running, it was cool, but I found the tool to be fine without this. - Doesn't curl big chunks. This part did take more time because in order for the hair to properly wrap, smaller chunks need to be used. Overall - this is a really versatile device and is the ONE tool that can replace all of the others. It is a time-saver when it comes to drying and styling, but takes about the same time as curling with a traditional iron.

Dyson has done it again with an inventive hair styling product. I've had their hair dryer since its release, and I love it. This Airwrap i.d. Multistyler is next level. I must say though, there's definitely a learning curve to this product. I've tried it a handful of times and once you get used to it, it's definitely easier than a normal curling iron. That being said, there are some features I really appreciated, along with some flaws. I've always had problems curling my hair and have never been particularly good at it, but the Airwrap definitley makes it easier. I found that trying to curl larger sections of hair simply doesn't work. You need very small ones for it to be able to wrap properly. I also found the barrel to be slightly too short. My hair is a bit longer and I feel it would work a lot better if the actual barrel was longer. The root of my hair and the ends can't be on the barrel at the same time. It's just too long. I also find myself having to manually help the hair strands wrap around the barrel sometimes. Even on the highest wrap setting. The fact you can switch the direction that the barrel is drawing in your hair makes it super easy. I learned that you want to curl your hair away from your face and this feature makes it very easy. The other feature, that is my favorite one, is the cold blast. Wrapping with heat, and then holding the curl with cold air is something all curling irons should have. The blow dryer attachment is very nice, very smooth feeling and also pretty quiet. The roundbrush I have seen work well with other people, but my hair just got caught in it and I gave up. Overall, this product is defintley better than a normal curling iron and makes it a fun experience. The real question... is it a $600 styling tool? One thing for sure, the Airwrap i.d. is a luxury item purchase.

It only makes sense if you plan to take advantage of it. Overall, it’s efficient, easy to use, and produces professional-looking curls with less product needed.
