The day it arrived one of our family member's was sick to her stomach. Guess where this fan/air purifier spent the night? Yep, in that family member's room and by morning - even with the fan speed set on 2 - the room smelled entirely fresh. Obviously, that's not a science experiment that should be relied upon as fact, but when you've got kids and a stomach bug running through your home you'll take every bit of an advantage you can get. The device is as easy to use as any fan and more effective in that category, too. It really puts out a good bit of air at the highest setting and it's wonderful having 10 different options for fan speed. On 1 you can't hear or really feel the air flow unless you're standing right beside it; perfect for just keeping a nice little cool ripple in your bedroom at night. Will be great to use in the summer. Two gripes: sorry, but it looks like a trash can. I feel like Dyson could do better in this department. Second is that the magnetic remote - which in general is a great addition - takes some fairly precise placement to get it to stay where it should when magnetically attached to the device itself. I wish the remote were slightly heavier. Wonder if it would still have the same problem with sticking. Minor quibbles though. I've enjoyed this product and am trying really hard not to use any fan puns right now. You're welcome.
