I had the previous generations animal, and 4 years later it was still going just as strong as when I bought it. I left it with my parents because they loved it, and replaced it with this! This has the same suction power, with increased maneuverability. Same great build quality and versatile tool set. It is heavy though, it won't win any light weight awards. But as a vacuum it performs well, and feels as thought it will last as long (or longer) as my previous vacuum. The 5 year warranty is nice too!

The Dyson does an outstanding job of picking up material which my Oreck left behind. It also has an extremely convenient system for accessing accessories. I bought a Dyson combination tool which I leave attached to the hose/tube assembly. If I want to clear a cobweb from the ceiling, I just set the handle upright and pull out the hose. Changing to the turbine brush (included) provides an excellent way to clean upholstery. That being said, this vacuum is not for the frail. It is HEAVY and something of a chore to maneuver on carpet. On tile it is even harder to steer. Best results are obtained by guiding it rather than trying to force it to move in a given direction. Strangely, despite its weight and bulk, it does not convey the impression of being an ultra-sturdy industrial unit. For me, the added cleaning power and the convenient accessories make the Dyson a winner. Whether you like it is most likely dependent on your ability to lift it and to make it go where you want it to.

Solid build quality and very attractive color scheme. This apparently lasts the long haul, but only time can tell. The suction is so heavy on this vacuum it can literally lift up the carpet if you are not paying attention.

I love love this Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum. I stumbled across it as one of the Best Buy deals of the day and remembered having several friends talk about how good Dyson products are. I must say I feel like I got it for a steal at half off, and am thoroughly pleased. I'd say the only thing I would recommend improvement on is some holder/rack for all of the attachments that came with it. There were so many I ended up getting them their own drawer. The house I purchased was professionally cleaned, but I was still amazed at how much dust etc the Dyson got out of the carpet when I decided to give it a first test run. I highly recommend this vacuum, especially when you can find it on sale.

This thing is built to last, picks up very well, while using on, this thing moves smoothly, only issue I have is when you dump canister you have to shake due to center filter holding dust and hair.

I had a Dyson vacuum that was getting a little old and dirty, and this has stepped up in its place fantastically. It has a host of super useful attachments that didn't come with my old one (I use the lint brush-style hose pieces to get the excessive wads of dog hair off of my couch) as well as a huge capacity. It was about $200 off when I bought it the week before Black Friday, but this is the kind of product that will last you a very long time and I would have paid full price. It's great. Buy it.

Great vacuum cleaner. It really vacuums all the dirt from the carpet and came with many attachments. I got a great deal deal the week before black Friday, purchased it for $350.00. I wouldn't spend more than $400.00 though, anything above that is just too much. Only negative is the canister that holds the dirt is small and must be cleaned out frequently.

It’s very powerful. I don’t have carpet at home just bunch of rugs . It does an amazing job .

My friend has a dyson and I loved how it picked up everything. I purchased one for my parents and one for myself. Would recommend to everyone, especially if you have pets that shed.

Bought this for my wife due to the constant complaining ever time she turned on the old vacuum. I googled best vacum 2015 2016 and this popped up. Found best price at Best Buy and got one. it picked up so much dirt out of the carpet that I thought she was going to make me remove carpet in the house. But instead (as usual) I got in trouble for tracking the dirt in and now she makes me take off my boots before I come inside. (why, I just bought a vacuum that will clean it up ). In all no regrets. Happy Wife, Happy Life.

This vacuum is powerful and easy to manoeuvre. The long cord allows one to clean several rooms. Lots of useful tool were included.

This is a very high quality vacuum cleaner, which so far works very well. Nice attachments included.

My shark was giving me issues here and there and filters were becoming difficult to find. Overall the suction is night and day, its not a lift away but I understand Dyson's "lift away" is there V6. You will pay $1000 + dollars for functionality of the Dyson brand to match Shark and Samsung but over all the value was there for me.

This is a wonderful vacuum cleaner, but it is very heavy feeling in your hands when you are vacuuming. I have used an older model of this vacuum and it did not feel so heavy. I love the way you can take it apart and its ease of use, but if you have any problems with your wrists (like carpal tunnel) try this out in the store first.

I have fallen in love with this vacuum! It picks up everything! I bought this vacuum because I have a golden retriever that sheds like crazy and a baby on the way, I didn't want the baby to have hair in his mouth and everything else, this vacuum definitely does the job!

I've owned an older version for over 16 years and absolutely LOVE this vacuum!! Does a wonderful job on carpet and tile. Old one still works great decided to upgrade and give daughter the old one. Hopefully this one will last as long.

This vacuum works great. We have a chocolate lab and it's incredible how much of her hair this vacuum picks up. Didn't give it 5 stars because I find when I empty the vacuum some of the dirt/hair gets stuck and I have to fish it out myself, which isn't ideal for someone with allergies.
