This is my 3rd Dyson and this is the best I have had so far. I bought an Electrolux Nimble last week b/cus it's less money than a Dyson, but it went back the same day and I bought this. Dyson's are truly amazing vacuums. FYI, you can buy the attachment for pets, yes you can actually vacuum their hair with a brush attachment ....................

I absolutely love, love this vacuum. I couldn't/can't believe the dirt and dog hair the vacuum picked/picks up. I thought my floors were clean, but I was definitely proven wrong. Some people have an issue with emptying the canister. Dyson suggests you hold the canister in a plastic bag (such as a grocery bag, hold it shut and shake. No dust or dirt anywhere. It takes no time to do this. When putting the handle back in position, give it two pushes, and it will fully engage. I find these little quirks a minor distraction compared to the benefits this vacuum affords. As for weight, it is a tad heavy but is not a hindrance to me. I have multiple painful disorders, and I experience no more discomfort than vacuuming with any other machine. We bought this on sale at Best Buy, and after researching every possible sale sight, this was a BEST BUY! I don't understand the negative comments. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This vacuum was well worth the price! It is light weight and powerful. It picks up so much dirt and dust, I was amazed! If you are considering this vacuum, this is an excellent choice!

I took the plunge and bought the Dyson, I was going to get the DC41 Animal complete for $649 but after speaking with the sales associate I decided on the DC41 animal because he said the only difference is color. I am very happy I purchased it, I picked up a full canister of dirt and mainly hair in each room. I had to stop in-between rooms to empty the canister. The air instantly felt lighter, and my nose stopped running. Another great thing is you can vacuum your hard wood or tile floors with this vacuum.

Admittedly I was nervous about the price and didn't want to fall into marketing trap. But after talking to someone who had a Dyson and recommended, them not only for the product but also the warranty and customer service. 5 yrs of coverage and they replace parts no questions asked no hassle. Base on her recommendation and a great price, Best Buy had an unadvertised sale and I saved over $100 of MSRP., I bought it. I love it, it's compact, easy to use and works great in a smaller Chicago apartment.

I always wanted a Dyson sweeper however I always passed on buying one due to the price. My old sweeper gave out on me and Best Buy had a sale of 20% off plus extra reward zone points so I decided to go ahead and buy one. So far I have been very pleased and hope that it will last much longer than other sweepers I've owned in the past. I like the fact that you can turn the brush on or off when going from carpets to wood floors. It picks up better than any other sweeper I had in the past.

My 8 year old oreck xl is about worn out so I decided to give this one a try because of the features and I have a long hair dog. After using this vac for a month I can honestly say the oreck has a better ability to pick up the pet hair with fewer passes (about 2 ((oreck)) vs. 4 (dyson)). Thats the only disappointment I have considering that I got the vac at 20% off. The suction from the hose is really good so the problem must be with dyson's brush design and function. The people who gave this vac 5 stars for suction at the floor must have had some poor vacs before getting this one. The ball design makes it pivot nicely and easy to maneuver .

Glides through turns and motions. Pick up is astounding. Use is a breeze. So glad I spent too much money on this.

This is the first upright vacuum I have owned. I have only used canister models (Kenmore). It is also the first Dyson product and by far the most expensive vacuum I have ever purchased. I chose this based on reviews and recommendations from friends and family. I have just used this for the first time and find both pros and cons. Pros: It cleans better than anything I have ever used without a doubt. It took me awhile to get used to the 'ball' action but I am sure I will be using it like a pro in no time. The size is nice for ease of storage. The edge cleaning works very well. The canister holds quite a bit, and there does not seem to be any reduction in power as it gets full. Simple to empty. Pet hair pick up from floors and furniture was as promised, the furniture attachment is also great for stairs. Cons: There is no place to store the furniture attachment on the unit itself. I am used to a system that will easily reach under couches, beds, lower tables and this is not amenable to more than a couple of inches, meaning everything must be moved (more work). The attachments are cumbersome to use, the hose is stiff. The cord cannot be stored when all you want is to use the attachments, meaning there is a lot of cord in the way. A feature I will miss from the canister is the retractable cord option. Overall I think I will be very satisfied with this product, good warranty, but a very pricey vacuum.

Amazing appliance. Surpasses any vacuum cleaner I have ever owned or used in terms of suction. The suction is amazing and is super flexible cleaning device. We have mostly hardwood surfaces so the no brush feature was really good and will probably replace my need to use my Swiffer. I actually compared the results of using the DYSON and using the Swiffer afterwards to prove to myself the DYSON was worth the purchase. The Swiffer did not have much dirt to pick up as the DYSON did the job already. Isn't that OCD.

All though there is no headlight, this vacuum really does it's job! I look at my home after using the vacuum and it looks so clean. Not like it looked using my old vacuum. Everything looks new again! Did I mention how easy it is to empty the contents. Just a light push of the thumb and voila! I was very skeptical aboout paying $600 dollars for a vacuum, but after buying it I am very pleased with my purchase. PS: I did get it for $449.00 on sale at Best Buy.

We purchased this vacuum and immediately went home to try it out. We have 2 dogs and my wife just vacuumed the house a couple days before. This machine picked up anything in its path in one pass. After just doing the master bed room and living room area the tank was filled with sand, dirt and dog hair. It was absolutely disgustingly amazing. Definitely a great product.

The suction power is incredible! The automatically adjusting head is fantastic - really gets every surface level in my home. And I love the ball!! This is my first vaccum with the ball and the commercials don't lie - it really does allow you to get anywhere. Also, the slim design of the head is very nice for getting underneath my railings and other tight spaces. Best feature by far though is the suction power - this thing gets it all!!!!! LOVE IT!!!

If you have the $600 to spend on a vacuum, get it. It goes from carpet to tile seemlessly (make sure to turn off the brush on tile/lineoleum) and sucks so hard it will leave a hickey on your carpet if you stop. I love this thing!

So far we love it for everything from medium to deep carpet and linoleum to hardwood floors. The only downside at all is that is could be better on berber carpeting. It really is very maneuverable and adjusts easily between heights of carpet and non-carpeted flooring. It actually works very well on throw rugs.

Wow this vacuum cleaner is incredible. It actually made my really old carpet look almost new. It's really good at picking up all the cat hair. It's also really easy to manuver around furniture and what not. :) <3

My second Dyson (the 1st was the smaller pet version) and everything works great as far as vacuuming. Only complaints are having to push a button to collapse the wand and then lining it up just right to put it back into its holding place. Also the ball picks up tons of my labs hair. Long cord let's me get multiple rooms on one plug. Hardwood and Carpet usage.

I debated a long time about purchasing this product. I have owned several Dyson vaccuums and my question was not whether I wanted another Dyson-- that was a No Brainer--but rather which one. I compared several of the models and settled on this one. I am very happy with the product.

My wife is small & our old vacuum wasn't getting the job done. We needed something light weight and maneuverable and something that would suck the white off rice. Reviews, product information and recommendations from current owners led us to the Dyson 41 and pleasant past experience brought us back to Best Buy. Both were wise decisions. My wife is delighted with the functionality and the performance exceeds all of the claims. The ball significantly lessens the energy required with other machines. Best buy, as always, was totally on top of their game: employee product knowledge - phenomenal; appearance, courtesy & professionalism - excellent, &; customer service - great. Lots of people in Atlanta sell vacuum cleaners, but Best Buy kicks it with price & service!
