Friends have been telling me for years how great this vacuum is for someone with a pet that sheds as much as mine. I've gone through two vacuums in the last year because they keep clogging with hair! I've had none of that frustration since getting this vacuum a little over a month ago. Also, other family is willing to help vacuum regularly because it is easy and kinda fun to use. Wife even used it tonight to clean up all theChristmas tree needles. That makes me happy.

Great power as all Dyson products. Great features. The tower has become more compact from the previous Dyson models and it feels flimsy. Also it doesn't stay locked in the upright position as well as the older models. They used to have a lever you pushed with your foot. Now they come unlocked by applying force. Simply pushing down on the handle to raise the front of the vacuum unlocks it.

This replaces a 6 year old Dyson which still works great. This model however is leaps and bounds improved upon. Every detail was obviously carefully thought out and ingeniously engineered. So impressed its crazy. Stupid amount of suction. Very quiet and smooth. Recommended very highly.

I heartily endorse buying this. If you have furry animals, you will NOT be disappointed with its performance. Power, ease of the ball roller to navigate around furniture, design all top scores for me. I only downgrade it a bit because the mechanism that holds it upright when not in use just seems shaky and likely to break. hoping Dyson sees this and does something about it - a trigger could operate on the handle to latch or unlatch the vertical stand would probably feel better made.

I switched over from a eureka upright that seemed like its only purpose was to stink up the house with a weird smell that was a cross between burning belt (which it wasn't) and a strange funk from the bag (no matter how recently it had been changed. I actually vacuumed the house the morning before I bought the Dyson animal DC41. I brought home the new vacuum cleaner and immediately used it in my bedroom and it filled up the canister with the dirt and dog hair the other vacuum had left behind. All without a hint of a smell coming from the Dyson. I have been extremely pleased with the performance a features of the DC41. It seems to pull itself along when on carpets, and adjusts automatically for wood and tile floors. The accessories are well designed and work very well. Especially the furniture attachment for pet hair. I had been thinking about getting one of these for a while, and only regret not getting sooner.

Great product overall. Excellent suction, cleans all flooring very well and cleans along baseboard better than any other vacuum I previously used. Extremely easy to assemble. I have always used a canister vacuum and this is the first upright vacuum I used and I am very happy with it. I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

My wife wanted a new vacuum and asked for a Dyson. After a lot of research and trying to swallow the price point I went ahead and purchased it. There are no regrets since the device works as advertised and is very easy to use and maintain. I was concerned with it being a little flimsy, but learned that it's a solid performer.

Great all around vacuum, doesn't lose suction & easily picks up pet hair. Tools are readily accessible and easy to use, once you figure out how to unlock them. You do not have to change any settings when going from one type of surface to another. Canister fills up quickly due to strong suction, but it is a breeze to empty.

This vacuum is excellent. easy to steer, is fantastic for cleaning stairs has extra long hose, extra long power cord means only plug in once and can clean even the biggest of rooms without moving plug. Suction is as advertised and plastic container for the bag is easy to empty. Expensive but worth it in my opinion

Family was looking to invest in a new household vacuum and we arrived at a great item with this purchase. By living in a two story house with two cats there was a need for a powerful, but a light-weight vacuum. This Dyson vacuum matched our needs and all the family members are very happy with this product.

This vacuum definitely gets the job done. We have carpet in the apartment and the suction on it is great. It also comes with several attachments that help in cleaning hard to reach areas. It's a Dyson, so obviously price is going to be high, but the clearance price did help. Overall, great vacuum.

I purchased this vacuum on sale during xmas at 25% off. I honestly do not think I would of bought it regular price since it is really pricey. The reason I bought it I wanted a good vacuum for my new home that worked on wood floors and easy to move around without banging into the walls.

Let me say that this vacuum is awesome and is worth every penny. In no way do the cons outweigh the pros. The commercial that dyson runs stating that emptying the dust canister more frequently is absolutely true but in all respects that's a good thing. This vacuum is able to pick up more dust/etc in the carpet than my previous three vacuums I bought. I completely regret not buying this vacuum first and saving the $400 dollars I spent on the other vacuums. It maneuvers like a champ and is one of the best vacuums I own. It amazes me on how much stuff this vacuum gets. $600 is steep for a vacuum but with a 5 year warranty that dyson stands behind shows that they believe in their products. Try it out for yourself worse comes to worse, return it.

It was easy to set up. It's powerful and maneuvers just as advertised. All your tools are easy to excess. Emptying the dirt cylinder is so easy. Overall, it is the best vacuum I've so far which includes Electrolux.

It was hard for me to spend so much on a vacuum but I tell you, it is worth it and now I am set with one vacuum for life! I have a golden retrieved who sheds a lot and the see-through suction shows the amount of fur being picked up and my carpets have never looked so clean!

My husband pointed me in the direction of Dyson's products because he had some experience at work with some of their technology in the canning industry. I have never had a great vacuum and hated not being able to really get the hair, dust, dirt, dander, etc. all the way. After using this product for the first time, my light tan carpet was several shades lighter. Not only that, but the floor looks cleaner, longer, because it's a better clean. I also like how easy it is to empty the collection bin. Bagless is the way to go; easy and relatively dust free. This model came with several useful attachments, which have performed as I expected them to, as well. The only down side is the cost. That is the main reason I have put it off so long. I purchased it when it was on sale and Best Buy did a price match from another merchant, to seal the deal.

I like this vacumn cleaner. It was a great price. It is convenient to use and lightweight. The tools are handy to store and easy to use. It is easy to turn. It was very easy to set up.

Great vaccuum that outperforms the kirby and is very easy to manuever.

We have never owned a Dyson, only watched the commercials and on the home shopping networks. We should have bought it sooner. It is light weight, extremely powerful, and easy to empty!

After 10 years of using my Oreck I finally grew tired of dog hair left in the carpet after I vacuumed. A friend of mine recommended the Dyson to me since it's what he's been using for a few years. I've been using it a couple months now and it's awesome. I was actually grossed out by what it picked up the first time I used it, seeing everything the old vacuum had missed. Don't pay $600, wait for it to go on sale like I did for $480, then get your reward zone coupons and certificates lined up and head to the store.
