This vacuum moves so easily; it self-adjusts from carpet to linoleum.

this is my 2nd dyson, they are a little more up front but outlast any other vaccum if you have pets get a dyson, my dogs would kill a vaccum in a year the last dyson last 6 years and died b/c we never change the 2nd filter (didn't know about it :( ) and the motor burned up from lack of air flow. Still even with that it was worth the money.

If you can quickly forget that you just spent over $500 for a vacuum, you'll be instantly satisfied with the performance of this machine. I can honestly say that Dyson has exceeded my already high expectations of their brand. This is my first Dyson vacuum and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Dyson lives up to the hype and more...!

I was really thrilled to finally find a vacuum tht really works! My whole family is saying they can't believe that it even picks up all the cat hairs on the rug. I am so happy with my vacuum. My son & his wife recommended this vacuum to me and I am soo happy they did!

It does a great job and is easy to work with - not sure yet if it is worth the very high price point.

This Vacuum does have decent suctions but not any better than the $180 Shark I replaced. The whole vacuum seems cheaply made. This would be a great vacuum for the price if it were priced $250-300, but $500.00+ it is not worth at all. I would have to say that I fell for the "Its a Dyson". I would say the best thing about Dyson is its marketing.

It is a great vacuum. Has a lot of suction. My only complaint is that the hose is stiff and difficult to use. I am sure that it will get better with use. Should be the last vacuum that I have to buy.

I was very impressed with this vacuum. It has some serious suction and will pull up dirt you never knew existed. It has so much suction you really have to work to move it on thick carpet. All in all it is a awesome vacuum and I would spend the money again in a heartbeat!

Dyson has quite the reputation, and for the most part it holds true. The unit does not lose suction, and even on small oriental area rugs gets up pet hair without sucking up the rug itself. I was amazed at how fast the chamber filled up with stuff, on a large area rug I considered clean. Emptying the canister is easy too. The ball steering takes some getting used to, and can require some strength in your wrist to get it to go where you want it to. This is due to the weight (we were used to an Oreck, much lighter and generally worked well). Although the assembly is designed well, some of the plastic parts feel "loose", and hopefully will last. The tube extension is not convenient, as you have to drag the heavy vacuum along. The Oreck came with a small carry vacuum which was a much better solution. Overall it really picks up well, as advertised. The steering and weight could be improved, which is why I rate it overall as just "good" not "excellent". That and the price, since is is a lot more expensive than other similar units.

Best vacuum I've owned in a long time. We had an Oreck and it was the worst vacuum ever. The DYSON has a lot of power. I recommend ittoanyone who vacuums everyday.

We bought our Dyson Animal approximately 3 years ago, it is the best vacuum for getting up pet hair out of carpet and off of floor surfaces. We have had zero issues with to date, It is an awesome vacuum machine for the price paid.

I love my new Dyson. It is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. It cleans great & the dirt is easy to empty out. It is so light & is so easy to maneuver. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner!

Even after vacuuming our house with our old vacuum, it still didn't seem clean. We decided to try the Dyson as we had heard good things about it. We vacuumed, shampooed and then ran the Roomba. After all three were done, we ran the Dyson over the living room. We had to empty the container 4 times. It works great on deep ground in dirt and being the owner of a labrador and German shorthair, we were amazed by how well it picked up pet hair. Don't let the price scare you off, its a great product

was shock how much dirt my Oreck was leaving behind. was sold on the Dyson the first time I used it. Two family members have now purchased one based on my results. Even my kid's want to vac to see how much they can get in the bag less receptacle.

Cost of DC41 is much more than your average vacuum cleaner. However based on the power of the vacuum and other feature that comes with the DC41 and 5 year warranty and purchased extended two year warranty I am set for the next 7 years. Worry free!

I purchased a new dyson animal only because my apartment is so small I needed a smaller vacuum cleaner than my original dyson animal 7 - I am enjoying the way this machine moves and cleans!

I vacuum quite offen and thought my floors were clean and dirt free but I was sadly mistaken when I used my new vacuum. Easy to use, picks up more dirt than I thought possible. Emptys very easily with a couple of button clicks! AMAZING!

It was expensive, but we bought 3 of the cheaper ones in a little over a year. None worked as good as the dyson and none were as easy to move around. The only bad part is there is no place on it to hold the pet attachment when not in use.

Before switching to my dyson I used my bissell to vacuum my entire living room twice. Then I used my dyson and it still picked up dust and dog hair. Kind of gross once you really think about how I used to be satisfied with my bissell.

Pricey, but well worth it. Dyson stands by there product. Had defective wand, called company and was sent new one quickly. Could not believe the difference with suction power and how much dog hair was left in my carpet from old vacuum.
