I was very excited to use this one since my Dyson air wraps is amazing. I was really disappointed with this straightener. To begin, it was extremely heavy and took forever to charge. Once it was ready the battery did not last at all. I wasn’t able to straighten my hair completely without having to plug it in to finish. This product was a miss for Dyson. Maybe they can tweak it and make it better and then maybe I can consider purchasing it. I actually returned this item and would not recommend unless Dyson fixes the known issues.

But i thought that when plugged in, it would work like any other electric straightener. But no, it still uses batteries, so it won't last long. because when straightening the client's hair, and they want to keep it straight for about 6 months , some time it takes 2 to 3 hours to straighten it. in short, this straightener is not for professional use.

With regard to charging the unit, you can receive a 90% battery charge in just 40 minutes, using the magnetic charging cable or dock. A full charge will take 70 minutes. Keep in mind, for longer styling, you can attach the 360° charging cable for use in hybrid charge mode. Also, we do recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair, to help prolong battery run time. Overpriced and Unreliable

I returned it through Dyson. Dyson provided a replacement, but it took over 3 months to receive it after returning the original one. This unit doesn’t work any better than the $80 straightener I already owned.
