The Dyson Corrale™ straightener is a cord-free straightener that provides the same thermal performance as corded products, but with cord-free versatility. It provides up to 30 minutes cord-free styling and is fully recharged in just 70 minutes. You can also extend your run time by attaching the magnetic 360ᵒ charging cable for use in hybrid charge mode should you need longer. Also, while in use to help prolong the battery life, we'd recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair.

It remains to be seen if it will last. I got her the Dyson hair dryer and it is starting to fail after 3 years. So not a good buy. I'm cautiously optimistic.

The experience she has with it is great. It doesn't burn your hair, but the brushes and comb is low quality but it came as a gift set so can't be mad at something free right.

I ended up having to wait another 30 minutes till the iron was charged again, It says that you can keep it plugged and use at the same time but it will not stay charged and turn off after about 25 minutes. Pretty disappointed that it did not stay fully charged to straighten my hair. For the price of the iron it should not die so quickly. Its also a bit bulky and a little heavy to use for a long period of time.

Posted .Hi Joann, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Corrale™ straightener can be used cord-free for added versatility. It also features hybrid charge mode. Hybrid charge mode involves styling with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener with its magnetic 360° charging cable attached. Using the Dyson Corrale™ straightener in hybrid charge mode allows you to extend your run time should you need longer. The biggest affecting factors for battery life is the amount of time the unit spends heating the plates. If the room is cold, or you are making more frequent passes over your hair, this can cause the heating elements to be on for longer, and thus you're receiving a shorter cord-free run time.
In highest power mode and a faster styling session, run times will be about 19-20 minutes. 15 minutes is more common, if you're using a higher heat setting.
