She really liked the hair straightener BUT we returned it due to the battery not lasting long enough to finish her hair. We may buy another if/when Dyson upgrades the battery.

The Dyson Corrale™ straightener is a cord-free straightener that provides the same thermal performance as corded products, but with cord-free versatility. It provides up to 30 minutes cord-free styling and is fully recharged in just 70 minutes. You can also extend your run time by attaching the magnetic 360ᵒ charging cable for use in hybrid charge mode should you need longer. Also, while in use to help prolong the battery life, we'd recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair.

It does catch and pull hair. It doesn't leave hair any shinier or smoother than any other flat iron. It is heavy. And it just isn't worth anywhere near $500!

This machine features intelligent heat control, fast charging, up to 30-minutes of cord-free styling time, and Magnesium copper alloy flexing plates. With regard to it pulling or catching your hair, we would recommend making sure parting your hair in 3 sections and ensuring your hair is fully dry before you use the Dyson Corrale™ straightener. Another tip we recommend is using some tension as the plates are flexible and applying tension will allow the hair to pass through with ease. We hope this helps.

Out of the box the charging dock did not work. She was able to charge it via the cable so she was able to use it. The iron produces less heat than the iron she was replacing. She would have to use it multiple times in one spot to get her hair straight (she does not have have curly hair). She also complained about her hair getting stuck in it due to the cut outs on the side of the iron. The only redeeming quality for it was the cordless feature. ultimately we retuned this and are in search of a different cordless iron.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The Corrale straightener was designed with flexible plates to conform to the sectioned hair, and this helps regulate the heat for less heat damage, more shine and less frizz. If any snagging occurs, we always recommend sectioning the hair in smaller sections.
We test the Corrale on miles and miles of various textures and hair types, and depending on your styling needs, you may need to use a higher heat temperature. As well, the Corrale does work well with your favorite hair product, should you need to use for your styling needs.

Charging issues

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Low quality, it stop charging after 1 year of casual use, I called dyson to get it repaired and they told me that i have to take it to a repair center, but the closest one is a 2 hours trip, then I asked if I could use a shipping method to send it, and they told me that for this kind of item shipping is not available.
