I'll give it a 1 since I can't rate it a 0. My husband bought me this straightener for Christmas and while I was very thankful, my first thought was "a $500 straightener? He's nuts!" followed by "this better be a magical straightener". I used it a few times and each time I had to stop using it and pull out my $20 Revlon straightener that actually gets the job done and quickly! This straightener hottest/highest setting is 410⁰, however, after about 10 minutes it drops the temperature down to 350⁰. It dies very quickly for a straightener that takes about a hour and a half to "straighten" your hair. I have thick, curly hair. I had to go over one piece of hair over 6x. Normally, with my Revlon straightener it only takes going over one piece of hair twice. So in about 20 minutes my hair is completely straight and looking great. A hour and a half later with the Dyson, I have half of my hair semi-straight (more like flattened curls) and the other have completely untouched because the straightener died. After having charged it for more than two hours. I get it, the cordless straightener seemed like a great idea, and it is! However Dyson completely missed the mark. This thing is a magical piece of garbage! I'm pretty certain half of these positive reviews are promotional because there's no way these are from real people. Save your money and buy a cheaper straightener that will actually get the job done! I promise you, you'll get happier. I'm glad we're still in the return window, this thing is going back asap! Oh and it's big and thick. Awkward in your hands and just uncomfortable. $500 for a straightener that doesn't even straighten, a complete joke! Dyson, you're drunk, go home!

The Corrale™ straightener uses four key pieces of technology. The flexing plates provide just the right amount of flex to gather and adapt to the hair, and also provide the tension needed for styling. The intelligent heater system delivers the required heat to the plates. Intelligent heat control regulates the temperature of the plates 100 times a second to make sure they never exceed your chosen temperature. And finally, a 4-cell lithium ion battery enables enhanced styling with cord-free versatility.
The Dyson Corrale™ straightener is a cord-free straightener that provides the same thermal performance as corded products, but with cord-free versatility. It provides up to 30 minutes cord-free styling and is fully recharged in just 70 minutes. You can also extend your run time by attaching the magnetic 360ᵒ charging cable for use in hybrid charge mode should you need longer. Also, while in use to help prolong the battery life, we'd recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair.
