Dyson as they are known for high-quality products and this straightener is no exception as it performs awesomely in straightening hair. Upon initial usage, I noticed they felt heavy as a result, I did not know what to expect; however, once they got warm to my desired setting, they did an awesome job of straightening my hair with a light-feel. During the actual straightening process, I was concerned with the actual heaviness, but with one swipe, the straightener did an OUTSTANDING job on my hair. The manganese copper plates seemingly do not do any damage to my hair as this was of concern to me because I have never used these types of plates as I have used titanium plates in the past. Suffice to say, I will be using this straightener on a regular basis as it gets the job done with perfection within minimal time.

Wanted to try this flat iron because of the hype. I also purchased the dyson blow dryer with this. I will definitely be keeping the blow dryer, but the flat iron will be returned. I use Nume Megastar and in my opinion my hair looks better with my Nume. The dyson leaves too many fly away hairs, I have to do at least 3 passes, and it does not get my ends that straight. It’s definitely not worth the money in my opinion

Works well straightening hair. Easy setup heats up quickly. Not cheap, but appears durable.

I bought the Dyson Corrale in hopes of achieving better results at lower temperatures to minimize damage to my hair I figured it’d be a great product because I also have the air wrap complete and I am in love with it. Upon using it on my wavy hair the lowest temp wouldn’t straighten at all I upped it to the medium heat and essentially same thing had to go over it at least 10 times to get it somewhat straight so I upped it to the highest setting and even then I had to go over it several times at this point I also tried to curl it to no avail. My 30.00 iron is able to straighten it better at a lower temp I was extremely disappointed I wanted very much to love it because I love all Dyson products as mentioned I have the Airwrap complete, Dyson hot+cool fan and the V8 animal as well and absolutely love those products will be returning this item and hopefully they’ll come up with a more updated product that works better. Save your money for now and only get the Airwrap it works very well at curling, straightening, and blow drying my hair.

It stopped working today, the over heat sign was on, but I just turned it on this morning. I tried to turn on and off, the sign was still on, I couldn't use it. It's an expensive straightener, I am very disappointed now. I don't know what should I do with it, it seems wont turn on or work again.

I wish I could give this 4 1/2 stars because I really like it but it has a few issues. First the good, I am a hairstylist & love to try new tools, I was excited to try this & I also have natural curly hair which in humidity or rain frizzes. When I used this it was on a rainy day & I must say it kept my hair straight , it does an awesome job at straightening because it doesn’t look dry afterward, with three heat settings , I found the middle one, 365 degrees, to be the best for me. It has an led display & beeps when ready, also cools down when done. Initial charge is pretty quick, less than an hour & I used it maybe 5-10 minutes a day & the charge held for a few days. If you use it corded the charge lasts longer but I prefer cordless. It comes with a nice weighted stand & a heat resistant bag which also looks good. Love the colors too. There is a flight tag which disables the battery so you can pack it in your carry on. The plates are copper alloy & I use product on my hair so far they’ve kept clean. Now for the bad, this iron is very heavy & the plates are a bit large so if you’re doing a long section of hair it’s ok but my hair is layered & it was a bit of a challenge. Also I tried to use it to curl my hair & if you have any shorter layers forget it, you’ll only get a bend, no curl. Finally, I tried to use it corded & because the cord attaches magnetically it kept disconnecting, it was so frustrating that I just used it cordless. I would recommend this but you can get an iron for way less money & it will do just as well.

Horrible. Doesn’t hold a charge, the little airplane tag keeps falling out so it shuts it down or it gets caught in your hair Not worth the money and I bought 2 of them

I love the Dyson Corrale hair straightener! As someone who has long, thick, wavy hair, I have bought and tried several brands with varying widths of hair irons over the years. Some of them lasts for only a few weeks when the plates start to get sticky or rough to glide, while others stood the test of time and lasted me for a few years. Needless to say I got the Corrale as an investment and expect it to last at least a few years. The first thing I noticed is the weight. It is lighter compared to my years old Con-air iron, which definitely helps when you need hours to straighten your hair. Your arms will eventually get sore from lifting and gliding the hair iron multiple times. But the Corrale so far lets me manage my hair without putting a lot of weight on my arms. Another feature that I like is it is cordless. That means no more tugging a stuck cord when you’re trying to reach a hard to reach section of your hair. Although, a charge can only last for about half an hour, that is all I need surprisingly. If I need it to last longer, I place it back on the dock to charge in between styling sections. With my other hair irons, I straighten my hair for more than an hour even when heat is set at the highest setting. As suggested, I set the heat at the lowest setting first in the Corrale then gradually increase the heat to determine what level is needed for my hair and I found that the mid level is perfect for me. The plates glide smoothly on my hair without getting stuck midway so I feel confident that my hair will not get damaged. With other brands I had to run the iron atleast twice to get my hair straight, but with the Corrale, I only had to run it once and my hair straightens. I use a hair protectant spray as well just to help with the smoothness and protect my hair either way, but I can go without and still achieve the same results. For the price, which I admit is a bit high for a hair iron, I expect this to last me a long time and for taming my stubborn hair I think it’s worth it.

This hair straightener does not live up to its price. Even after watching several tutorials I could not get positive results. I finally gave up and returned the item after 2 weeks. I would not recommend this product.

As someone who has been straightening my hair every single day for almost 15 years, this straightener has made doing my hair a breeze in the morning. I thought my higher end brand straightener I've been using for years was good, until I tried this Dyson straightener. Such a huge difference, my hair straightens so much better, and gets there in much less time. I never realized how poor of a job my old straightener was doing until I had this to compare it to. I really think the flex plates make a big difference, I watched them while straightening someone else's hair, and I could see them practically hug the hair, while a traditional flat plate straightener has lots of hair go through but never actually get touched by the plates. I have been able to leave the heat setting on the middle setting and it has been fine for me, I do not get any of the typical smells that I used to get with my other straightener. With that being said, honestly the job that this straightener does is about the best thing it has going for it. I have more complaints than I do praises. Because this straightener can be wireless, it has to have a built in battery, which has caused it to be way more bulky and heavier than a traditional straightener. Unless you are specifically looking for wireless functionality in your straightener, I would honestly wait and see if Dyson is going to come out with a wired version of this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Another drawback of the wireless functionality is the charger it needs, before purchasing this, think about where you will be using it and where the outlet you will be using is, because this essentially has a laptop charger, bulky box in the middle of the cord and all. I unfortunately do not have the best outlet access in my bathroom so until I figure something else out, this bulky charger is just sitting on the bathroom counter and looks awful. Because of the size and weight of this straightener to accommodate the battery, I would expect the battery life to be pretty good. It is awful. Most of the time I just leave it plugged in while using it, and the battery level drops while still plugged in. It can be plugged in the entire time I use it and when I go to turn it off, it can be down to about 75% battery power. Obviously while not plugged in, the battery drops much quicker, making it something you always have to worry about while using. Like I said, if this came in a wired version, I'd love it. I also wish it had more temperature settings to pick from, I have had much cheaper straighteners with way more temperature options. Not a deal breaker, it is just odd to only have 3 options, the lowest being one that I will never even use because it did not work well with my hair. Last but not least, this straightener makes several different beeping sounds, when you turn it on, when it is up to temperature, when it has been sitting for awhile without use, when you turn it off. I have yet to find a way to turn it off or make it quieter. I usually straighten my hair early in the morning and for me, I do not like hearing these obnoxious loud beeps before the sun is even up. It is loud enough that it can be heard from people in other rooms while I have the bathroom door closed. Again, not a deal breaker but I would love to see Dyson address some things in future models. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this to a friend. If you are someone who has thick naturally wavy hair that is very difficult to straighten like myself, and you need a GOOD straightener, I'd recommend this. I am very pleased with what it does with my impossible hair. There are so many other little issues though, that if you can get by with other models, I wouldn't spend the money on this one. At least not until Dyson comes out with a newer version.

Bought this as a gift. Definitely pushing for new technology and innovation but they need some refinement still. Seems to pull hair when being used, returned shortly after purchase and got a CHI as a replacement with no issues.

I absolutely love this straightener! It makes my hair so soft and shiny, and it is so easy to use! It heats up very fast, and the fact that it is cord-free is just awesome! Trying to put some curls in my hair has been a bit of a challenge, and something I will need to keep practicing. However, I got this to straighten my hair, so my expectations of curling were low. The color is so beautiful, and the battery time is amazing. Once it runs out of battery charge, I just straighten my hair with the cord, and then it is charged once I am done!

Had purchased with a lot of expectations on Valentine’s Day by my hubby but not worth the price at all. Battery drains in 2 uses completely. And had to return. Don’t buy at all.

Terrible product, it will break your hair, battery dies super fast and the outcome is not good for the price.

I’m really impressed with how fast I was able to straighten my hair, my hair is natural really wavy/curly, long & I have a lot of hair. I decided to first try it while my sister was driving cause I love the fact that it’s wireless!!! I use to have to run a flat iron over a section of hair 4-8 times to get it nice & strong straight, with my new Dyson wireless corrale it only took 3-4 times so it cut my straightening time in half, some of my hair was still slightly wet underneath and it also did a fast job getting it dry & straight. It left my hair feeling soft with no frizz. It comes with a nice heat proof travel pouch, with a tab to slid under section to keep from having battery contact during travel & a lock slid so your flat iron stays closed, no ruining your cord wrapping it around it. I love that you can use it wireless or wired, it has 3 heat settings which were perfect. Auto shutoff is always a plus with hair style products which it has. Only things I didn’t care to much for but can live with it, charge time is a bit long so I have to remember to charge it or bring my charger if I’m doing my hair somewhere else & I feel maybe because of the amount of hair & length I have the charge doesn’t last long enough, my sister said it worked perfectly her hair is A lot shorter than mine & it is kind of heavy. But overall a very good product.

Doesn’t feel likes it’s gliding on my hair, feels kinda like it’s dragging and pulling at my hair. Skip buying this, get the air wrap, blow dryer or vacuum instead.

It straightens my hair well... the curling isn't really great. The biggest issue with this is, is that it smells like it's burning. From the first time I used it... maybe mine is defective? I may return because of this.

I got it as a gift but had to return it after just a few days. I fully charged it before the use, and it still died just after 20 minutes of use. It’s not worth the money.
