Dyson doesn’t disappoint

They last for a long time, always work like the first time, and innovative. This straighter didn’t disappoint me. I am used to using dyson vacuums and their air purifier. My first thought about a hair product from dyson was it must be top notch. Well it is. The packing shows you that you purchased a premium product. I love the included carry case it’s soft and looks classy. The straightener looks sleek and futuristic. I love that it is wireless, don’t have to worry about getting tangled in a cord. It’s easy to turn on, temperature settings is real easy just adjust with plus or minus and it shows you digitally the temp. What I thought was a real great feature and added touch was the airplane mode toggle button. You put this in the straightener and it puts on airplane mode so the straightener doesn’t turn on. This is great! Now it will be easier to travel with. There is also a lock and unlock. Now for actual use and styling. This was such a breeze to use, it heats up very quickly. Once I wash my hair and dry it, it’s curly. I only had to go over my hair once with this straightener to get my desired look. Usually with other straightener I go over my hair at least 2-3 times. This cut my time down spending to straighten my hair once. My hair is just past my shoulders so my hair is pretty long. So from wash to dry to straighten takes me a good 2 1/2 hours. I was done in just under 2 hours. Now that I am used to using it and how it works for me and what setting is best for hair, I will be able to cut some more time off my style day. I love this straightener, now I am looking at the hair dryer to purchase.

Really disappointed

I was fully expecting this flat iron to be a one pass straightener (cause dyson and $500) but even after several passes my hair still was frizzy and not straight. I thought I might be doing something wrong so I had my sister try it and she had the same result.

Not Dyson level quality you would expect

Came with chips in the paint. Charge does not last long. If you try to use it “plugged in” the magnetic connector keeps detaching from the Coralle because the magnet is weak. If you place in on the charge dock to charge , you need to fiddle with it to ensure it is indeed charging. Does not do a better job than a regular flat iron. Creates a dull frizzy finish. Bottom line - don’t waste your money. Get the AirWrap instead which is much much better.

I am a fan of Dyson’s products. This one did not let me down. Yes, their products are pricey, but their customer service, product quality and new-age look make them worth the cost. This straightener is black/fuchsia - gorgeous. It feels great in my hands but like others have mentioned, it is somewhat heavy, but I can manage. It is easy to use, especially cordless - how convenient! It can also be used corded with the cord held in place magnetically. The flexing plates mean you can use less heat which translates to less hair damage! Using less heat than with a normal straightener, I get fantastic results in less time. My sister, with longer and thicker hair, uses it more than I do and she loves it!! I would highly recommend this product.

She likes the cordless feature but beyond that it seems no better than her significantly cheaper flat iron, but possibly worse. It doesn’t get her hair as flat as he cheap one it seems. As I type this she is doing one half of her head with the old one and the other half with the Dyson trying to make a final decision on sending this back.
