So I test it out by running my Anima Ball 2 over the carpet areas a couple times. The second run didn’t pick up a lot of new animal hair or dirt. So I ran the v10 next and it picked up so much more dirt. Quite surprised with how powerful it is and being cordless. The V10 is great for getting those hard to reach places and comfortable to hold for the time it takes to clean the home.

I really did my research on these cordless vacuums. I narrowed my decision down to Dyson Cyclone V10 and the Shark IONFlex. I chose the Dyson V10 because of weight, strength of suction and most of all battery life run time and the overall life span of batteries. I have not regretted my decision. Performance and ease of use has been awesome.

I had to replace a different Dyson cordless that we had for years. Ended up splurging a little on this one. It does a good job picking up material. The revised/new attachments work well (I like the new hard floor vac sweeper head). Seems to have really good suction. Canister seems a little easier to empty once you get used to it. So why four stars? As always with a Dyson product, you pay out the nose.

By far the Dyson V10 is the best vacuum cleaner I have purchased. The attachments are well designed and easy to use. Emptying the canister is so easy, I can only wish it was available years ago. Fantastic... The Dyson V10 is not a inexpensive vacuum, however bite the bullet and buy one. You won't be disappointed.

We own a full-size Dyson. That is a beast. Wanted to try something smaller and lighter, easier to maneuver. This fits the bill. Very powerful, easy to use, light in comparison to full Dyson. Charge lasts as long as you should need it, but if you forget to plug it in, you have to reach for the old big Dyson. Dust canister is a bit small and you need to dump it more frequently.

I bought this vacuum to replace a Dyson DC35 that was finally giving up the ghost after 8 years of loyal service. I thought the old vacuum was doing a pretty good job on our hardwood floors and area rugs, but I was wrong. This V10 easily sucked out twice the dust and cat hair from our low-pile rugs as the old vacuum. I was appalled at how dirty those things actually were. Even on the hardwood, it seems to pick up a lot more fine dust particles. It sucked in half a potato chip once, too. On setting 1 and 2 I barely hit half a charge remaining after vacuuming about 1000 square feet of house. With the old one I was racing to finish in 20 minutes before the battery ran out. As a previous Dyson owner I wasn't surprised that this new model was better, just astonished at how _much_ better it is. I'm not a guy that likes doing housework, but I like gadgets, so my wife is pretty pleased when I specifically request to do the vacuuming. If Dyson invents a dishwasher, my wife may never have to do any housework again.

Cat litter drives me crazy... I was looking for a vacuum that could pick up kitty litter rather than “ejecting” out the back. Using this vacuum with the soft power head (comes with both types of power heads soft & brush) exceeded my expectations! It picks up everything! Litter, small torn pieces of cardboard, etc in one swipe in most cases. It makes less than 1/2 the noise of my previous dyson v6 which I also still have but it only had 10-15 minutes of run time between charges. This bad boy does my whole house without me worrying about running out of charge. The dispenser cleaning is a much better design as it scrapes the dirt and cat hair off the screen filter and exposes the intake hole so you can pull anything out that might get stuck (remember the small pieces of cardboard)? One piece got caught but it did not affect suction and was easily removed with this new dirt cylinder ejection system. This is my 3rd Dyson - First corded upright, then the first stick V6, and now this V10....

At first I was apprehensive about getting this but a $100 gift card and points rewards I gave it a shot. At first I was impressed with the construction and power, low setting does just fine and I have vacuum most of my house and it still has plenty of charge. Stair tool is handy as is the hardwood/tile floor cleaner. Vacuumed and had to dump the collector as it was getting full on the day we got it. Doesn't mean our old Miele was lacking but it could be this does that good a job. So far one day with it I am impressed, if this changes I will post. I have own many vacuums and most were highly rated and I consider this amongst those. The advantage of this is not dragging around a floor unit behind you and having to switch plugs as you go. Just start going from room to room. I will probably vacuum more often since this is so easy to use. Con: One thing of note, if you have a weak hand or arm you would use to run this then it would probably not be a recommendation. My Wife has nerve damage in her arm and says she would not be able to use this regularly.

Sweeper does most everything you would want in a cordless sweeper. Has very good suction, quick attachments, easy to use, easy to charge, and easy to dump debris. Only two problems. ONE; Needs a better storage center for all attachments. TWO; An extended battery life for using sweeper on high power setting. Overall a good cordless sweeper. Other two additions would make it great!

Works great! It's not nearly as strong as a good plug-in vacuum, but that's to be expected. This still works well for most tasks, and I never have to worry about where the cord is. I also like all the attachments that the vacuum comes with, so that I can clean pretty much anywhere in my house.

Overall the vacuum does its job. It makes vacuuming a breeze. Its my first cordless and love not having to deal with the power cable while vacuuming. The vacuum is very powerful for those hard jobs. Its amazing how much more stuff is picked up with this vacuum compared to my old one.

This product is awesome. It is just as powerful as a canister and it does a wonderful job on the floor. The only real drawback is the canister size and how dirty it gets when dumping it. We love having it because we vacuum more now since it is so simple and easy.

Very lightweight. Easy to use for 30 minutes at a time. On max power it’s extremely powerful. The battery lasts about 25 mins on full power. On lower it easily lasts 45 mins. Swapping out different attachments is incredibly simple and it has a nice mountable charging dock

I was skeptical when I bought this that it would pickup as much as a one with a chord for some reason. I’m a traditionalist I guess. Nonetheless it’s exceeded my expectations and is so lucky, nimble and much easier to use because of this. Love it.

Overall, very powerful, ultralight and great suction! and easy to carry around, Battery lasts long enough to get the job done. Con; Very expensive and the collector bin is pretty small, yet if you vacuum frequently, you shouldn't have that much debris to collect.

I am in LOVE with our new Dyson V10. Hands down the BEST vacuum we have ever owned. If you love Dyson...you will be blown away by how lightweight, versatile, and powerful it is...all with NO cord. From carpet, to hardwoods, to stairs...this vacuum will not disappoint!!

This is a very good vacuum. It has great suction and picks up debris well and has a good selection of attachments for different situations. The floor heads have excellent maneuverability and can reach far under beds, etc. The battery life exceeded our expectations - we can do all the vacuuming we need on a single charge (with some left over). The nit-pics we have are: 1 - My wife doesn't like having to hold down the trigger to keep it operating. She would like an ON switch so she doesn't tire her finger. 2 - My wife doesn't like that it doesn't stand up on it's own - you have to prop it against something to get it to stand up (she's worried it will get knocked over and damaged). They do provide a wall hanger that includes provision for charging but that's not helpful when you're in another room and need to take a break. 3 - It needs a storage rack for all the attachments. How hard would it have been to add another plastic wall holder for them or even to add storage room for them on the provided wall hanger/charger (especially considering the overall price of the unit)?

We have had Dyson products for the past 5 years. Our previous was a pull behind canister that suddenly stopped working. Very disappointing. Went to get the same and that type is no longer made. All that we could find was these "stick" vacuums. I was VERY skeptical. Having already purchased and returned 2 other brands, I was ready to give it a try. Started using it immediately and was impressed by the pick up of things that had not been picked up by the other vacuums. This is the future. My only complaint- There is no warning that the battery will run out- like poor suction or less noise. It will just suddenly shut off. I thought it had broken. Turned out that the plug had come out of the wall socket and I hadn't noticed, so it had not been charging. Once I figured out the problem and charged it, no more problems.

I was excited when I bought this vacuum. I think the suction is great on both my hardwood floors and carpet. With all the attachments, it makes it easier to get into the corners to get all the dust. It is super easy to bring around my house, and I like that I do not have to worry about a cord and I can move freely with it. There is a down fall (which I knew going into it, cause I did my research) the Max suction option does drain the battery pretty fast. I am able to get my entire hardwood floors done (entry way, kitchen and dinning room) and some of my carpeted areas done before I need to charge again. I do like the Max suction option because I feel it gets deep into my carpet to help get out the pet hair. So with all the pros I feel that one con I have makes up for it.

Overall, still the best overall cordless vacuum for cleaning power and incredibly light-weight. Cons: very small dirt collector, battery life still too short and still way too expensive, compared to other cordless vacs that are almost as good. Still recommended if you have the budget for the best.
