Love the versatility and power of this vacuum. The tubing is a little stuff but other than that, it's wonderful!!

Always saw the ads and the boasts, put my neighbors against my Hoover and she won. I had to buy one off the bet..

All in all very good cleaner...price is a little high but good

We have two Great Danes and this is the only vacuum that makes our carpet really feel clean.

I have been debating on buying this vacuum for quite some time, and could never decide if I wanted to spend the money. I am glad I finally did. I purchased 2 cheaper Hoover vacuums that have both broken down, only to find out they are no longer made here in the USA and are a poorly made product. So far, the Dyson picks up the most dog and cat hair that I have seen any vacuum pick up. The attachment works well on our furniture, too! It's a very nice vaccuum. I wish I would have invested earlier!

We are remodeling and there is a ton of dirt and dust. This thing works great.

Overall a very nice vacuum. I replaced a Eureka that had good suction and seemed to pick up a lot of dirt as well, but the Dyson seems to have more suction and thus, picks up even more dirt and hair. The attachments are sufficient for floors, chairs, couches, etc. Don't know if I would have paid full price as I scored a closeout price, but I am very pleased with the vacuum so far.

I thought my last dyson was great, this model out performs it on every level!

I believe this sweeper outperforms most others and is very easy to use.

We purchased this vacuum on sale at nearly half price. There's no way we would spend money on a Dyson otherwise. The suction of the cleaner is very good, but it also makes the vacuum difficult to push. The one very big negative is that the handle locks in an upright position and takes some effort to release. This is a big design flaw. At the sale price we paid, it was a very good buy. Otherwise it would be extremely over-priced.

I owned an original dyson animal for 6 yrs. and loved it. Somehow we ripped a hole in the hose so I wanted to replace it .Although even after taping it up w/duct tape it still worked. Ya can't kill a dyson. I would have had to buy 6 vacuums of any other brand by now if I didn't own a dyson. With 5 children to clean after and a dog we definitely need a dyson.

Love this vacuum. Way better than my previous Hoover Wind Tunnel.

This is a great vacuum! Easy to use and pulls tons of dirt out.

The switches and controls are not that intuitive so you have to read the instructions to get best performance out of it. That said it is the most effective vacuum we have ever owned. Finally got tired of the mediocre job done by most vacuums and decided to get a "proper" one. Does an excellent job of sucking up deeply ingrained dirt leaving the carpets feeling and smelling so much cleaner. We are very happy with it.

The bulk of the motor is to far forward and high on the unit, thus you can not vacuum under certain objects such as chairs. Can not vacuum right up to the base kick plate on kitchen cabinets. Does not vacuum up close and tight to base boards (either horizontal or vertical directions) thus leaving about a 3/4 inch strip close to the wall that you now have to go back by hand and vacuum.

I was excited when I saw this for $300, but found out why it was being closed out. It worked great for the first five times, then it started making loud noises. It does have powerful suction. When I called dyson customer service the wait time was about 20 minutes, but there was an option to leave your number and they call you back. Customer service was helpful, but didn't resolve the issue. The repairman said this is a poor model and you have to be gentle with it. How this is made you cannot remove the belt yourself. I ended up returning to best buy for a refund.

Like I said before, there's no need to constantly go over the same spot just to make sure the fur is picked up. I have 2 long haired cats and this product performs great! After spending money on other products that don't perform as promised, I will never buy anything but a Dyson made for pets.

Vacuum is great. Wasn't happy that Best Buy advertised a special deal for $400 and a 20% of purchase gift card. A few weeks later the vacuum is put on sale for $100 cheaper and I STILL have not received my gift card for this purchase which has now been over 6 weeks from purchase date.

The only reason I had to replace my 1st Dyson was I broke a part on it, it still works but doesn't have the suction it once had and it is also about 10 yrs old. So I retired it to use on car, etc. I would not have anything but a Dyson, I wished they made a carpet steam cleaner.
