This is my second Dyson unit. I also have the Dyson Hot+Cold Formaldehyde HP 09 That I’ve had for about two years and just absolutely love it. We have that one in our master bedroom bathroom and use it to heat up the room in the morning as we get ready for work! I also have a few other brands throughout the house in each room. But none compare to Dyson in quality and performance!! Clean air is so important to me and once you see all the particles in the filters….how on earth could you not want to have the best air cleaners running in your house!!! We spend so much time in our houses! I digress… So this replaced a lower-end unit in our living room that was a purifier only but in the winter time I thought it sure would be nice to have the heat while it purifies as well! We have a ventless gas fireplace but when we lower our tv down to watch it over the fireplace we can’t run the fireplace!!! We’ll Dyson is going to fix that!!! You can set a temperature and relax and enjoy the comfort and clean air! The unit is also beautiful! The iconic Dyson look and engineering is a statement piece in any room and people notice! I love how quiet it is…our other purifier sounds like a jet airplane in flight compared to the whisper-quiet of the Dyson. I also appreciate the remote control which I keep handy in my sofa remote control storage and can heat with a simple touch! We have it in a corner so the 45 degree rotation is perfect. You can also do up to 350 degrees if you want! It has a night mode to darken out the display but I like to see the temperature in the room and you can also select through screens on the LCD to see how clean the air is in the room! My other unit was app-compatible ect but to be frank…Never really use the app. There is no other company as leading edge and known for quality when it comes to the Air purifies and vacuums! Dyson is world class and does not disappoint!!! I wish I could give it 6 Stars!

It only takes one glance to know when you’re looking at a Dyson product. Their designs are unique and they carry a reputation for quality and efficacy. The Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 is no different. Is it expensive? Yes. Might it be over-engineered? Mmm, yeah, probably. Could you just buy a fan or space heater or an air purifier? Sure. But will you find all three combined in a better setup than this? I personally don’t think so! We keep ours in our master bedroom. I love knowing that the air we breathe while we’re sleeping is being purified. Where we live, we are also descending rapidly into winter with temperatures consistently in the 30s. We’ve even had snow already...disgusting. We try very hard to keep our home thermostat set low, so we use the heating function of our Dyson to keep our bedroom at a little more reasonable temperature. My hope is this offsets our furnace fan’s electricity usage. The unit itself heats up quickly and only takes a few additional minutes to maintain 72 Fahrenheit. It’s also quiet and has yet to wake me, my husband, or our Beagle up in the night. The small LCD displays everything you need to know, including modes, set temperature, and air quality. The remote magnetically attaches to the top of the unit itself, which hopefully ensures it never gets lost. That’s a great touch. Dyson does have an app, but it’s only really good for registering products for warranty purposes. At this price point, I think it would have been nice to have app controls. Instead, the remote alone is used for everything. My only other gripe about this machine is one I was well aware of, that being the fact that the HEPA filter needs to be replaced annually. They are a bit costly at $79.99 on Best Buy’s website currently, but are also high quality. I suppose it’s another case of getting what you pay for. The Dyson Hot+Cool Purifier is a product I’ve wanted for some time. I’m happy to say it was worth waiting for and I’m super happy to have one now!

The Hot+Cool Gen1 is only about 30” high and 10” in diameter, offering a relatively compact yet capable purifier with ability to heat or cool your space as the HEPA H13 fully sealed filter removes 99.97” of particles. The filter is good for an entire year and also features a carbon layer able to capture harmful VOCs and gases, further reducing indoor air pollution. The included remote provides full control of the unit while the display provides realtime feedback such as air pollutants, temperature, fan speed, oscillation, and even filter life. Like other Dyson purifiers, the HP10 has on-board air sensors to not only detect and display pollutants in realtime but can automatically adjust fan speed to optimize operation. I really like how heat is integrated into the HP10, able to provide room filling heat. The heater function can be enabled and adjusted easily with the remote, allowing you to easily specify a target temperature and the HP10 will run the heat function accordingly. It seems to provide ample heat for an average bedroom but could also be used to supplement heat for a larger space while purifying the air in the process. The only negative is the cost, but Dyson products offer better design and have generally lasted much longer than their cheaper counterparts in my experience. For many people, the app is either rarely used or not desired making this a great choice if you are looking for a quality, standalone smart purifier and heater in the Dyson ecosystem.

Dyson has been making bladeless fans for some time now, and as they matured, evolved into devices that also included heat, and in the case of the Dyson Purifier heat+ cool (model hp10), also has added air filtration as well. It’s a mid-sized model, measuring at just barely over 30 inches tall, by just under 10 inches wide and deep, so you can place it on a floor, but also on a shorter table if you need to as well. The power cord is almost 6 feet long. Unfortunately, mine came with no setup instructions or any instructions on how to use the remote. The model wasn’t listed yet on the general Dyson site, but some search engine digging did pull up a PDF user manual for it. I would have loved an old fashioned user manual in the box, even if a basic one. Those who are familiar with this technology by now know that these machines take air, and put simply, “swirl” it around an oval opening, throwing it out into the room it’s in, with no blades or anything kids, pets, or you, can get caught or hurt in while doing so. It’s pretty effective too, throwing the air quite a ways through even larger rooms. You can leave it still (static), or oscillate it by varying degrees so it will turn side-to-side from just a little, all the way up to 350 degrees around and a few settings in-between. You can also tilt the hp10 a bit so it aims straight out into a room, or is tilted up a bit toward the ceiling. The filter which goes in the base area is in two “half moon” shapes, that include a HP-13 level HEPA filter and carbon filters. HP-13 is a step above standard true HEPA filters found in many other home purifiers, and HP-13 filters can capture smaller particles than standard filters – in this case around 0.3 microns or smaller in size, which can include allergens, smoke, industrial emissions, VOCs, and more. Filters are pre-installed and release buttons on each side of the base let you remove it to replace them when needed. How long they last will vary, depending on how dirty your indoor air is, how often you run it, and more factors. Settings and controls are done through a small, white, remote. This remote allows you to of course power the Dyson on and off, adjust the auto on/off for both the fan and heater, set a shutdown timer (1,2,4, or 8 hours), set a night mode so it runs more quietly, and more. Unfortunately, there’s no way to control all functions on the machine itself – only through the remote, so don’t lose it! It is however, magnetic, and you can lay it on top of the Dyson where it will magnetically stick to it until you need it again. A small round screen on the front of the device does allow you to see what it’s doing or, using the remote, see stats on what it’s detecting in the air at the time. You can manually set the fan/heat or allow it to run on auto as well. Overall, I like the Dyson hp10. It’s just a bit bulky/tall for what I like to use, so placement is key so It’s not standing out like a sore thumb in the room. But once it’s cranked up and running, it really does push out a lot of air or heat into the room. So far it’s quiet while running. One thing though, is that when using heat, there doesn’t seem to be a low/med/high control for it – it just runs the heat at full throttle (?) until it reaches the temp you set the thermostat at (or you turn it off manually) – this may not be great for those with older homes that may not be able to handle the full power use of full heat. It’s too soon to see just how much dirt the purifier feature is getting out of the air, but if it’s doing what’s advertised, it should be a good amount since it’s again, a HP-13 level HEPA. Since many studies show indoor pollution can be even higher than outdoor pollution in many homes, having higher quality filters is important these days. I recommend this model, overall. You don’t get the fanciest features on it like WiFi or app support and have to rely on the remote for most functions, which I don’t like, and the lack of printed instructions in the box is another “ugh” to me, but it still does what it advertises it does, and does it well, with my one real beef perhaps that you can’t seem to control how hot the heat is coming out – only when it turns off via manual or auto choices.

This fan/heater works quietly in the background and cools or heats efficiently. Air purifier is a bonus for days when you have the windows open. The design is pleasing and color scheme blends into the room. Although expensive the cost is worth it especially of you find the model you want on a sale.

This Dyson Hot/cool air purifier has a stream line look. It does not take up a lot of floor space. It does a great job at filtering dust, clothing fibers and pet dandruff from the air. It is very quiet in cool/ heat mode. If the room is warmer than 82 degrees, do not expect this unit to cool the room down to a bearable temperature even though it does blow cool air like a traditional fan.

I am very fond of Dyson products and bought this because of my past experiences with this brand being posative. This air purifier, fan and heater works very well. Its quite and I especially loved the heater function this past winter. Because it oscillates, it sends out a very even heat temperature. We have a 1,300 sq foot house and didnt need to turn on the big heater with this. I also found the air purifier works very well for eliminating the odd cooking smell

This Dyson Purifier fan has been a game changer. Our infant sons room is very had to keep warm in the winter and cool in summer. This Dyson heats/cools the room to perfect temp within minutes. It's endless settings make it completely customizable. It's quiet. Very simple to use. All in all, it works great. Would highly recommend!

Was a little surprised that the airflow comes out the front, but it's a great little heater/fan for my bedroom in the cold winters up north. After 7.5 months, of 24/7 use winter through summer, just got my first 'replace the HEPA filters' message.

i love the dyson hp10- makes my living room comfortable with warm air during winter time. it is also nice during summer time as it has 10 speed fan. its pricey but i think it is worth it for the fact that you get 3 in 1 out of it. purifier- heater and fan.

This fan is 100% worth it. It’s so quiet, yet it still cools you down. I have dysautonomia, so I often get hot and sweaty when I am feeling dizzy. This fan has helped me out, so much!
