A very good purchase for me. Breathing in clean air is a delight. I realized leaving my patio door open was not a great idea being that i stay in the city were the traffic is plentiful. If you can afford the ph04 you will know how great 1000$ air feel.

Customer service is legendarily bad and rife with anti-consumer practices on a device with a lot of moving parts that can easily break. I genuinely think you'll do better buying a knock-off. Ours arrived with a busted handle on the water basin. There were no other fans left to replace it at Best Buy and Dyson assured me they'd let me know as soon as a replacement part was in stock. That was 7 months and many phone calls ago. A few examples of why their customer service is so bad: They won't automatically send you the replacement part when it comes in stock, they add you to an email notification and require you to monitor that and then call back to ask the part be sent to you. They have no plan or forecast for when that part will be available. It never came available. They were just running out the clock until the warranty period ended. They won't send you a replacement fan and allow you to return the original in the same box. Instead, you have to go out and pay to buy a box and packing materials, then wait 15 business days after they receive it before they will send you another. If you were hoping to use your fan during the summer when you might really want it, you just have to do without until they get around to helping you. Beyond that, they recommend you change the water in the basin every single day for the lifetime of owning the fan. Between constant maintenance and customer service that's designed to avoid helping you, you aren't buying a fan, you're paying a $1,000 entry fee for an expensive new hobby.

It works well for purification and tells you how much material it has picked up, not sure how well the humidifiers works didn’t really see a big improvement in humidity in a medium-large bedroom. Also if you accidentally overfill the tank the system gets wet and needs to be dried overnight. Tank at bottom is a bit inconvenient to fill. I still like it but these aspects on an expensive humidifier make it a bit annoying. App is good.

Nice machine when its working. However, we have just received our 4th machine in 17 months due to performance issues and delivery issues. Customer support is friendly enough but a bit of a black hole to get anything resolved in a timely fashion. Our last exchange was delivered in a box that was so mashed up it I couldn't imagine it would not have damaged the unit. For the money it has not been worth the hassle.

Innovative, Elegant, and Effective 3-in-1 Machine

----- SUMMARY ----- Verdict: The Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is a highly effective 3-in-1 machine. It has a high price tag, but its ability to keep my allergies in check, destroy any trace of formaldehyde, humidify, and cool (all without being high maintenance) make it worthwhile to those like me who are concerned about indoor air quality. Pros: - Quick and simple setup - Air quality reporting in real-time - Sleek and elegant design - 3-in-1 machine (purification, humidification, cooling) - Hassle-free maintenance - Handy mobile app (Dyson Link) Cons: - High price tag ----- DETAILS ----- Setup: The unboxing and setup experience for the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde was quick and simple. I just had to remove some plastic and a few pieces of tape then fill the water tank and plug it in. Connecting the Dyson Link app on my iPhone (to monitor and control the machine from anywhere) was easy as well. The app is also available for Android devices. Altogether, the setup took less than 10 minutes, and I had no issues. Design: At about three feet tall and a foot wide, I’m impressed by how compact and unobtrusive the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is, especially for a 3-in-1 machine that purifies, humidifies, and cools. In typical Dyson fashion, it has a unique and elegant look. It’s also quite practical. The cylindrical grills that cover the filters attach and release with a snap of two latches on the sides, and the same goes for the water tank. There are wheels on the bottom of the water tank that make it easy to slide out of the machine and a handle for easy carrying. Maintenance steps are a breeze, thanks to the UV light and deep clean cycle technology built into the machine (more on that later). It seems like Dyson thought of everything to make the user experience great. Features & Performance: The filter is a combination of carbon (for gases and odors) and HEPA (for ultrafine particles) which work together to improve air quality. As someone who suffers from allergies, I’ve noticed some improvement in my symptoms. Not all pollutants like allergens produce noticeable symptoms though, and that’s where the real-time air quality reporting LCD screen comes in. It gives you an easy-to-read visual of the air quality on the machine as well as in the Dyson Link app. The app also shows an outdoor air quality report which is interesting to compare to the indoor report. Despite the machine being in my master bedroom, I consistently see the decrease in air quality from “Good” to “Fair” after cooking in the kitchen nearby. About an hour later, it’s back to “Good”. That’s one of several examples where I can visually see the purifier at work. As in the name, the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde can destroy formaldehyde. I don’t think my machine has detected any formaldehyde, but knowing it has that capability gives me peace of mind. As for the humidifier and fan, I’ve been impressed by their performance and customization. The fan has 10 different levels and the humidifier has five (from 30%-70% in 10% intervals). The low and medium levels of the fan and humidifier are hardly noticeable and the higher levels aren’t too noisy. For perspective, you can still carry on a conversation near the machine without needing to raise your voice. Both the humidifier and fan perform effectively, and I appreciate the variety of levels for customizing it to your liking. The machine has 45 and 90-degree oscillation modes that are typical of a fan, but what’s unique is an additional “Breeze” mode that mimics a gentle breeze. Instead of a blast of air in one direction, this mode feels like a natural, soft breeze. It’s the mode I opt for most of the time. There are also “Auto” modes for the fan and humidifier that allow you to just set and forget it. The machine will automatically adjust airflow and humidity levels to reach and maintain the optimal conditions based on your current air quality. Especially in dry conditions or when my allergies are acting up, having this machine humidify the air is helpful for soothing my nasal passages. There are other benefits of humidification as well, and this machine is likely one of the best on the market. The fact that it also purifies and cools makes it even better. Additional noteworthy features are the timer, night mode, and the included remote control. The timer allows you to set how long you want the machine to run before turning off which is useful if you intend to use it while sleeping, but I wish you could schedule it for a specified time each day. My hope is that it will be part of a future Dyson Link app update. Night mode keeps the machine running but on the quietest settings and with the LCD display dimmed. The remote that’s included in the box can control all the machine’s settings I’ve talked about, and it also magnetically stores on top of the machine, so you can place it there for safekeeping and easy access. Maintenance: One of my favorite things about the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is that it’s easy to keep clean. Since the machine is bladeless, a cloth or wipe can quickly and effectively clean the outside. As for the inside, Dyson’s innovative Ultraviolet Cleanse technology constantly removes 99.9% of bacteria in the water with UV light. There’s also a deep clean cycle that you should do on a monthly basis. All humidifiers require some manual cleaning, but what I really like about this machine is that the deep clean cycle is just a few steps and hassle-free. With my previous humidifier, I had to constantly scrub it with vinegar or bleach to keep it clean. With this machine, the deep clean cycle does involve some manual steps like removing the evaporator and water tank, filling the tank, adding citric acid (several packets are included in the box), placing the evaporator in the water tank, and then putting the water tank back into the machine. After those steps, the machine does the rest with the push of a button. Unlike other humidifiers I’ve owned, I haven’t noticed any odor or buildup in the water tank. The last part of maintenance is filter changes which involve just a couple of simple snaps on the grill covers. The machine reminds you when it’s time for a filter change. Based on what I’ve read online, if you use the machine for 12 hours or less per day, the filter will need to be replaced once a year. I’m glad it’s not more frequent because they’re about $80 (for the two halves). Overall, this is a low-maintenance machine.

So far I like it especially with the 0% financing and price match. One issue i see is Im only 2 weeks i to running all the time and it wants to run a clean cycle. Dyson gives you some of the cleaner but not enough if you have to clean it every 2 weeks. The app and info on there is nice.

The Dyson PH04 Purifies, humidifies, and cools your space quietly and comfortably. Assembly is extremely easy; remove some tape, fill the tank with water and you are all set to plug in and power on. I highly recommend pairing with the Dyson Link app. I've attached some screenshots from the app showcasing all the features and options you have on hand, including the option to link it to Amazon Alexa so you can control your Dyson with your voice (which works flawlessly). The purifier removes 99.9% of bacteria, allergens, pollutants, and even Formaldehyde in your home. You can see on the LCD display, (and within the app) how your air quality is in real time and what impurities it's detecting while purifying. The Humidify setting continuously maintains the perfect humidity levels in your space without having to constantly refill the water tank. I've found myself having to refill it every other day with moderate usage. The fan mode for cooling has 10 levels, all of which feel amazing. Even on the higher power, it isn't loud at all. There is various settings but I prefer having it set to oscilate so the air can circulate more. When it’s chilly, you can use the Backward airflow mode to purify and humidify without the fan blowing cool air around, perfect for cold winters. I've always been an extremely loud snorer until I started using this Dyson in my room at night. My wife is able to sleep well now that my snoring has completely stopped and I'm no longer waking up groggy, congested, and with a migraine. The PH04 successfully captures allergens to help prevent my allergy triggers, while humidification soothes and heals my nasal passages. For that alone it's worth every penny, Although I do wish it had an added setting to heat as well. Overall I highly recommend this amazing 3 in 1.

Easy set up. Love being able to control it with the app and the alerts it sends when the water tank needs refilled. It’s perfect for the winter when the heat is running. Takes care of keeping humidity in the air without the hassle of having refill constantly, or running really loud like other humidifiers. I love being able to see in the app how the this purifies our air. We have other Dyson fans and this one also takes care of formaldehyde which I was unaware could also be in the air. I was surprised to see that there was some present but the dyson quickly fixed that. All around wonderful product and highly recommend Dyson. We still have our first Dyson fan that we purchased in 2016 and it still works beautifully will little maintenance. That is one of the reasons I purchased this one upgrading to including a humidifier. Good quality, pleanty of info online for troubleshooting, and great customer service.

    It’s a hard one…

I have a hard time reviewing this… want to give it 5 stars but I just can’t. What it can do, and what I feel it has done for me is great. I love the humidifier and all of what it can do. There are plenty of tests out there where you can find many other products that work faster or do certain elements better than this unit, but having all the elements in one and that work well I love. Why I can’t give a 5 star review is that I’ve gone through a couple units in a pretty short amount of time. I’ve used them heavily. Running pretty much 24/7 and I’ve had poor luck with customer support in terms of trying to fix or resolve the issues I’ve run into. It comes in a large box and packing it back up is not a quick and simple task. I’ve had to rebox my units i think 3 or 4 times over just a couple years. I think I went through 2 PH03 and then got the PH04 and thanks to the Best Buy warranty plan, I plan to go into the store to get a new unit, b/c I have no faith after my past experiences that Dyson support can actually help resolve the issues that arise. I’ve sent the unit out to the nearest approved repair places they have. That didn’t work. Dyson ended up sending me a new unit. My current PH04 has stopped working and what’s frustrating is that it’s not at all clear what can be done to avoid the issues. That was true for the PH03 and 04. Perhaps that’s the downside of an all in one unit. Ther’s a link I’m sharing of a YT vid where a reviewer says it well… the more it can do, opens the door for more problems that can arise. Unfortunately I would say my experience has been the same. Basically I haven’t been able to go much more than a year without needing to trade / exchange both the PH03 and 04. My experience is a 10/10 when it’s working. But then when it seems to inevitably stop working, it goes from 100 - 0 in the blink of an eye. There’s no easy fix, if at all. I’m just going through a checklist of all the things I’ve learned over time that I think could be the issue and try and resolve what I’m not even clear the problem is. They sell a descaling kit or you can get your own citric acid from wherever to use for a deep clean cycle, but what a great feeling it is to try and run a deep clean cycle only for it not to run/work and I’ve wasted a packet of citric acid. When I go to take my unit into Best Buy I’ll first have to empty out the water tank with the citric acid b/c I can’t run a deep clean cycle and box it up. What a waste and a terrible shame. That’s happened multiple times and there’s no way to avoid it, b/c there’s no clear warning sign for that unfortunately. A rather frustrating experience trying to figure out how to resolve an issue when it arises. Example being the machine says there’s an issue with the drip tray, but there’s nothing in there. No water to mop up. Nothing to clean. There’s a piece in the water tank that you can pull out and clean as it can get slimey. That has worked some times, or maybe for about a year but not every time, not for long. To try and do guess work gets old quick and again the Dyson support were very professional and respectful but helpful eh unfortunately not really. This is a bummer to write. I love this unit. I want to love this unit. I don’t know. I’ve still checked the box to recommend haha. How’s that?… I would say I recommend but with a major disclaimer. I love more than just the idea of it. When it works i’m in heaven, but I wish it worked as well as it can / does for longer. That it was more reliable. Would I buy the Ph05 or whatever may come next. I’d probably strongly consider it, inspite of my frustrations, b/c as I’ve said it’s a 10/10 when it works. I would never buy this item again directly from Dyson, which I did the first time. The only reason I got the PH04 was b/c of Best Buy’s 2-yr replacement plan and thankfully I did b/c 14 months later my unit isn’t working. Sorry for the uber long review, but that has been my full experience. I guess sharing it, with anyone who’s really interested, sharing so you know what you might be getting yoursel into. I’m the kind of person that if/when I purchase something I really try and do my research and feel a sense of conviction that I’m spending my money for something that is truly worth it. No one wants to waste their money and have regrets. Hopefully this can be of some help. I hope Dyson can improve this model and make something that truly is a 10/10 and works as such for many years, but that hasn’t happened yet. Not with this model it seems unfortunately. What Dyson doesn’t have going for them if they can’t make a better product, is something new and perhaps better is always on the horizon. I do my research and if something better comes along, I’ll be very ready to try it and maybe this isn’t the answer or best option. Maybe you’re better off having a couple different devices and units that do different things individually but do so better and for longer. That is a lingering thought in the back of my mind for future consideration. As I referenced during my review, I would recommend this persons video review if you want more info. I thought it was informative and spoke to my experience as well. I think they sum up everything well and make some really good points to consider if you’re buying or thinking of buying it. Good luck and congrats if you’re even still reading. https://youtu.be/_eiD3Wh_MFk?si=bOJRof2VAOcTne9g

Truly Top of the Line Air System!!

In Home Air Purifiers are becoming more and more common these days with advances in technology and a wider selection for consumers. Dyson has always been a known leading brand in this industry, and their new Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is another reason why they are the head of the class! UNBOXING & SETUP: - The box the Dyson Purifier comes in is essentially the since of the entire unit. After unboxing, there is minimal physical setup to get it put together. Just take off a few packaging stickers, fill the water bin, and plug it in! - After that, you can download the "Dyson Link" app to help with setup. And this app is an absolute must have which I will dive into below. Overall the app is very easy to setup and work with and provides a lot of options. - I'd also add that Dyson does not include a physical user guide with this, instead they opted to have the user guide be located online instead to save paper. I think its a great idea and the User guide is very easy to find within the Dyson Link app as well. - Overall, very quick and easy setup between unboxing and getting it ready to use! PROS: - Like most Dyson Products, the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is beautifully designed! It looks elegant, high end, and very modern! Not an eye sore whatsoever. And its not very large either so its a big plus that it can fit in small spaces. - As I touched on above, the Dyson Link app is one of the best "smart home" apps I have used for a device! Every smart home product these days has their own app they want you to use but the Dyson Link is one of the firsts I thought was truly functional in every way. The app connects your Dyson Purifier to WiFi so that you can control it via the app, the app can give you advanced statistics on what your levels are in the house, and it uses the data from what city your Purifier is located in to better predict how it needs to be used inside as well. Very clever and useful! - On top of that, the App tells you about the maintenance of your machine so how dirty your filter is, when you need to do a deep clean cycle, and it tells you what are the filters you need to buy as replacements when they are out. Very helpful! - Probably the biggest Pro of this device is it's multifunctional Air treatment design. It works as a purifier, a humidifier, a fan, and it destroys pollutants in your house that most devices can't - specifically Formaldehyde! After using it for a few days I could instantly tell a better quality of air in the main room of my home. - Regarding the Purifying aspect of this, it really gives you piece of mind to know how much work this Dyson is doing. They say it will kill 99.9% bacteria in water via the humidifier, it kills 99.7% of particles with its purifier including gases/odors/Formaldehyde, and it will crank out 84 gallons of fresh air per second! - Dyson recommends putting the Purify Mode and Humidity Mode both in "Auto", and it is definitely the way to go! Its just nice to set it that way and not have to worry about always messing with the settings of the device. I can tell that it is always slowly working, but during certain times of the day it definitely picks up as it notices pollutants in the air or drops in my humidity! - On that note, the Humidifier is really fantastic! It has a small tank but has a big impact. Dyson uses your indoor humidity ratings alone with your City's outdoor humidity levels to determine the optimal humidity level when in Auto mode. Just makes everything very efficient so I do not have to change the water frequently. - Although I have talked about "Auto Mode" you can of course make the choices yourself! You can change the airflow speed, change the humidity levels, set timers, set night mode for quiet times, plenty of options! Something I like is you can change the oscillation of the airflow to just shooting straight, giving it at a 45-90 degree angle, or even making the Dyson replicate the feel of a breeze. It really has some nice options and flexibility. CONS: - I wish the "Night Mode" had an option to set a schedule. As in I want the Night Mode to run from 10pm - 8am everyday, and there is not an option to do that as of now. But that is an easy software fix so it might come! - The Dyson Link app tells you what the Auto Purify target is, but does not tell you what the Auto Humidify target is. Another fix that can easily be made but currently is not available. BOTTOM LINE: - Buying a Dyson means you are getting the best of the best, and the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde is another great example! The Purifier is very modern and high end, does so many things to make the air quality better in your space, and the Dyson Link app is truly a fantastic companion. If all those things are important to you, than this device would be a fantastic buy for you!
