Fancy item, yet easy to use and works amazingly. The reservoir holds quite a bit of water, and while keeping this on during the night, it lasts a good 3 days before a refill of water is needed.

Great while it worked. Died in 15 months and can’t be repaired.
Still under warranty so it is being replaced. Service center said the humidifier has been an issue. Hoping replacement will last.

I had always been interested in Dyson’s line of humidifiers and air purifying systems but wasn’t sure if they would be any better than the other options out there. Spoiler alert…it is! While it’s much bigger than I imagined after looking at pictures over time it’s not the biggest somewhat similar type product that I have used so the size was a positive for me compared to a different brand I had been using. I was intrigued by the prospect of a humidifier that was also a purifier and virtually a fan…especially curious if it’s cooling feature truly did the job unlike other air purifiers I have had that claimed to cool but really didn’t. Out of the box this machine was simple to setup. As is the case with virtually all tech gadgets now there is an app you need to download to experience the full abilities of this machine. It too is relatively simple to navigate and gives you access to a wealth of data associated with your machine and the air quality in the space you use it. It has the usual features I expect such as the ability to set a schedule for your machine, adjustable fan modes, and the ability to see a report of the air conditions in real time. For me the deep clean cycle is a welcomed feature as the deep cleaning process for other machines I have tried has been a pain. I noticed the benefits of this machine in my home within the first 24 hours. The normal slight sore throat I seemed to have every morning when I woke up hasn’t happened since I started using this. My allergies seem to be so much better already. This absolutely is an investment but it’s one that I think is well worth it if you have allergies or rely on a humidifier to combat dry air conditions.

You get what you pay for with this product. Just like all Dyson products, it’s an extremely well-thought out, high-quality product and provides amazing cooling, humidifying, and air purification.
I was looking for a solution for my bedroom to stay cool throughout the night but also provide humidification and purification to help with allergies so I could get a better night’s sleep and this has turned out to be a great solution.
What I really like about this unit is that it automatically purify and humidify a room and you can control it either directly with the included remote which in turn displays plenty of information on the functions or modes on the display on the unit itself, but also with the app where you have even more control.
Humidity can be automatically regulated based on your preferences which is nicer than just an on/off switch however you can also choose to turn it entirely off it you’d like. The tank for water is easily removable and it’s supposed to provide up to 36 hours of humidifying.
You can direct airflow either to the front or the back of the unit but there’s also an oscillating function where it can rotate the vents by 90 degrees, however it’s not the entire unit that rotates - it’s actually just the two vents on the sides of the pillars that rotate.
Being that I wanted it in my bedroom especially for use when I sleep, I needed something quiet and this definitely fits the bill. At the medium fan speed I can barely notice it but at higher speeds you can expect some more noise of course but I find it to be similar to something like a white noise machine. One thing to note though is that compared to some of their other fans, it’s substantially larger.
A couple bonuses is that setup takes 5 minutes at most. Just unbox it, snap a couple filters into place, fill it up with water, and it’s ready to go. Along with that, I always appreciate the thought that Dyson puts into their packaging where there is essentially zero plastic that may end up in the landfill. 99.9% of the packaging is made up of cardboard.

BEWARE: IT WILL BREAK

I want to love this product cause it is amazing when it works. However, in two year and one month I had two units fail beyond repair and because I am one month past the warranty they will do NOTHING to help me. An $800 unit shouldn't fail, but when it does, they should back it up enough to help such short time past the warranty. Customer service wouldn't allow me to speak to a support team or a manager, and when I wrote in, I received no response. Dyson does not back up their products.

Very finicky-doesn’t humidify well/breaks often

I definitely cannot recommend this product, especially for the price. Even when this is “working” it is not able to even keep a medium sized bedroom at the targeted humidiy level. Whats worse is that every few months the decice maldunctions, saying that the tank is empty when it is not. When this happens it wont humidy at all, and the repalcement part is over $100. I have been through three of these parts, and they keep failing. Troubleshooting steps do not help. I’ve encountered many with the same problem online. Unfortunately, it seems that this is just a poorly designed and overpriced product.

Unusable after 1st deep clean

Purchased August 2020. Worked great initially. Barely used …went to use it and was forced to do a deep cleaning- process took hours and display stuck on step 6. After trying to troubleshoot myself via online research/YouTube had to call customer service. Was told it must be damaged and since warranty is up I would have to purchase a part for $200 and fix it myself. Lousy customer service and for what they charge customers there should be a better solution. The product worked great when I could use it, but I will not be purchasing any parts since there is no guarantee it will be usable…I’d rather spend money at one of your competitors for a product that will work. I also have a Dyson hair dryer which I love, but will never buy another dyson product due to this poor resolution.

This thing is a hunk of junk. It started acting up after the first year and Dyson support has been so unhelpful as it is not their problem anymore. Three years old and its going in the trash.
