Although the full sized Soft Dusting Brush may fit onto the cordless machines, you may find the Mini-Soft Dusting Brush as being a much better option. Great 4 vac dusting tight spaces under furniture

Be sure to pick up the flexible extension hose though, as a direct connect to the unit does not present workable use angles.

I called Dyson and this soft brush will not work on the cordless. It will work on the DC17. I also have an issue w/a very stiff hose on the 17 (it's 8+ yrs old). Dyson suggested taking it off the unit and wrapping it around the unit overnight to see if that loosened it.

Posted .Hi Sherry, thank you for your feedback. Our tools that are intended for our corded upright and canister machines are not interchangeable with our cordless. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding. Fortunately, we have a mini soft dusting brush that is compatible for your DC44 Animal. I have provided a direct link below for your review:

In addition regarding your DC17, if wrapping the hose around the machine did not help, I would recommend removing the hose completly from the machine and stretching the hose from one end to the other.

This soft Dusting brush works wonderfully. I dust Electronics, Ceiling Fans and many other things with it!!!

The dust doesn't fly everywhere like other attachments. And since it's longer than most adapters, it takes much less time to clean blinds.
