It’s a beautiful vacuum but I feel is a tad bit overpriced for the product given. If it were cheaper would be a Awsome buy but should have more power and battery life for the current price tag of $400

The Dyson - V8 Cyclone will not disappoint. I have long used Dyson Vacuums because of their quality and durability. The Dyson - V8 Cyclone is a powerful vacuum. Do not let the size or portability deceive your. It does well on carpet and floors. It comes with a floor attachment and a suction nozzle attachment to get into those hard to reach places. Also included is a wall mount bracket and power cord to recharge the battery. The battery lasts a long time. The package says 60 minutes. I recharge after each use and have not vacuumed for a solid 60 minutes but it maintains the power throughout the cleaning. There are suction speed adjustments and you can turn off the rotation of the floor attachment brushes for delicate areas. My last Dyson had a trigger to start the vacuum that you had to hold while using. This one has a switch. At first I didn’t like it but it is growing on me as I get used to it. Dyson backs their products. It comes with a 2 year warranty but I have never had to use a Dyson Warranty. Dysons clean floors the best. Whole they may cost more, they last a long time and you won’t regret purchasing the Dyson - V8 Cyclone.

It replaces my V8 Animal and is even better. Glides easily, has on/off instead of a trigger, 3 speeds, and all my V8 Animsl attachments work here too. Love it!

The Dyson V8 Cyclone is a deceptively uncomplicated machine that will turn the tedious task of vacuuming your home into a satisfying experience every time. Quality and Size: The Dyson V8 is a sleekly designed cordless vacuum cleaner that is a joy to use for someone who has been frustrated by inadequate vacuums in the past, as I have been. The length of the hose was a bit more than I was used to, but I assume that helps prevent clogs that can come with hair and other debris. It took just a few minutes to get accustomed to the difference in size between this one and my previous vacuum. It's lightweight, which helps with managing all the corners and stairs and other areas of a home that bulkier machinery make difficult to reach and carry around. The transparent suction bar at the bottom and receptacle at the top show you just how much it consumes, which is quite satisfying to observe for the clean freak in everyone. Its sleek design, coupled with its efficiency, make for an impressive new home cleaning device you'll be happy you acquired. Ease of Use: Between the human hair on the people living at home and dog fur from two endlessly shedding canine residents, there is no shortage of debris my vacuum must be able to absorb. If I go more than a week without doing it, every footstep begins to kick up a wooly cloud. My previous cordless vacuum would get so overwhelmed by the quantity of fur that it would frequently clog. This required a frustrating and lengthy process of emptying the container, cleaning off the filter, shaking the receptacle against the trash can to get at stubborn bits, and even using tweezers to grab at a blockage here or there. These were maddening interruptions. But the Dyson V8 demanded none of those annoyances. It managed to plow through the entirety of my 2000 square feet of flooring and carpeting without delays. Part of this may be that there is a minimum amount of components. It took just two clicks to put it together during the unboxing process. There are no separate filters to put in, keep clean, and periodically replace like in my previous machine. Keeping the device uncomplicated seems to be the trick in keeping it more efficient than other brands. The Dyson came with a single crevice tool attachment for hard to reach areas, such as between couch cushions. I always struggle to get to the carpeted creases between the stairs. My previous machine didn't have a strong enough suction which was quite frustrating, but it seems the Dyson manages to get at every bit of dust, hair, or fur. It also has a nifty swivel effect when moving along between different areas. This allowed me to easily maneuver under the dining table and between each chair. Despite being cordless, I managed to accomplish cleaning every surface without running out of the battery charge until just about the time I was finishing up. This was in stark contrast to my previous vacuum which ran on two batteries that barely managed the same quantity as this one on a single charge. I would use up one battery for the first floor and then have to stop and change it to the spare to complete the rest. But the Dyson managed all of it in one go. And if you do run out of charge, the Dyson only takes about four hours to hang it back up on the wall dock and get it started up again. End Result: As I've stated, my biggest challenges in my home with regards to keeping it clean are related to my dogs. In addition to the copious amount of fur, they also track in all sorts of dirt and other debris every time they return from the yard. It's imperative that I have a vacuum I can count on to keep my home from looking unkept. It's also essential that I'm not spending valuable time during the cleaning process of my home having to straighten out clogs in the machine so it can function. The Dyson comes through on all counts. Its unfussy architecture makes a competent cleaning tool I can count on to handle whatever the occupants of my home have left in its path. Critical Look: Obviously I am pleased with this product, but one criticism I have is that the one I chose came with only a single attachment. Other more expensive versions come with more. I would've preferred to have several attachments instead of purchasing them separately. In addition, like other cordless models, it cannot remain upright independently. You have to either hold it, place it back in the wall dock, or else just lay it on the ground. It would be nice if it had the ability to stand on its own for a moment if I need to move a table out of the way. And lastly, as previously mentioned, its hose is a little longer than I was used to. This makes some cramped areas a little challenging, like stairways, for example. But it just takes a little getting used to and then it's fine. Summary: Ultimately this product earned all five stars from me for its uncomplicated design which saves me so much time. I no longer have to be interrupted in the middle of cleaning to clean the cleaner. What a relief! It also earns high marks for its efficiency in the vacuuming process, getting at areas my previous machine struggled with. For example, I have an entryway rug that has a lot of different textures. Those textures hide a lot of debris. While my previous vacuum struggled to get to all the tiny pebbles and dirt in it, the Dyson had tremendous success. That was actually my starting point when I first turned it on, as a test of sorts. When it passed with flying colors I knew that this was probably going to be a vacuum I would be thrilled with. I'm happy to say it surpassed even that assessment.
