    Great story of a friendly alien left behind when his spaceship leaves without him. Lots of laughs as he tries to learn about his human hosts; also pathos, as he becomes more and more homesick. Drew Barrymore is a delight as the little sister of E.T.'s protector.

    As usual, I enjoyed the movie and really appreciated finally being able to acquire something better than the old DVD transfer. I also appreciated that the original film was available instead of the PC version that replaced guns with flashlights; it was an abomination. That said, I thought that some of the transfer was grainy and the sound was almost inaudible at times. ET is still a favorite, but the studio could have done a better job on the 4K edition.
