This has tons of customization and bells and whistles. I mainly use it for remote control of my heating and cooling.Built in weather forecast is nice, and a full touch panel vs the nest dial knob is much better in my opinion. Check your hvac wiring for a blue wire. You will need this blue "common wire" to hook up. Was about to go with the power extender unit but then realized my blue wire was tucked in all the way in the wall. Give ecobee support a call if you are stuck. They are great. I have noticed though that my temperature reading is 1or 2 degress below as compared to the previous thermostat's readings. I wonder if I need more room sensors to get a accurate reading or if my temperature sensor on the ecobee needs calibration.

I was really impressed with this device. I was looking for a device I could control with homekit, and could help reduce my electric bill. This delivered beyond my expectations. About a month after installation my first bill was lower. I also like that I can ask siri the temperature or to change the settings.

Works with Home Kit its great and easy to use with Siri

Installed it in conjunction with my Echo to see if I could finally get a decent heating solution for my HIGH ceilinged kitchen/LR/DR. After installing echobee3 in the hall in place of the old thermostat and the sensor in the kitchen, raised the temp 1 degreen on the ecobee3 and we finally have a confy place throughout.

This product has mostly worked as described. It was a little more difficult to install in my home because my system is very dated. Once installed it was very easy to connect the sensors and connect the thermostat to HomeKit. The only issue I have had thus far is sometimes the room sensors lose connection, but usually reconnect pretty quickly.

Haven't been disappointed. As advertised and more!

Works as advertised after speaking with EcoBee Tech Support. Initially the remote sensors were not picking up the presence of people in the house. Tech Support indicated it was discovered that some of the covers on the thermostats were not installed correctly and were covering the infrared sensor. Upon removing the face plate it was determined this was indeed the case. Realigned the screen and worked like a charm. Note remote sensors can only be 40 ft away from Main thermostat and is if multiple walls are inbetween.

I did a ton of research before selecting this unit. I was going back and forth with this, the Nest and the Lyric. Ultimately, the remote sensors and Apple HomeKit integration are what made my decision. It's awesome to be able to say, "Siri, set my thermostat at 75." The online reports are really cool to look at too.

Works great! Easy to use and remote sensor helps tremendously since the main thermostat/sensor is in a hall that is hotter than other rooms. Love the wifi ability to use with my iPhone.

The ecobee3 is an amazing thermostat. It has a great UI, easy to use and configure. The added sensors make it easy to get an average (accurate) temperature of the home. This means that if your thermostat is in an unusually warm part of the home and never shuts off, the sensors will help offset this. It can be integrated with both the Amazon Echo and the Samsung Smartthings hub allowing voice control when you're not near a cell phone. It has already paid for itself with the amount of money it's saved me on my electricity bill.

I was looking to update my manual thermostat with state of the art Remote control including operation my iPhone and iPads. This Ecobee3 not only did the job but the customer support from Ecobee is terrific including their ability to review your settings remotely. I can now have full control of my system anywhere I have my Cellphone or iPads. A bonus I didn't know at the time was the rebate available from my Electric supplier to purchase energy efficient devices! I was so pleased with the purchase I bought a second unit for the other AC/Heating system on the Bedroom side of the home. What a great purchase can even read the weather from my Thermostat!

Loved the Ecobee. Easy setup and installation. The best feature is the remote sensors plus you can turn off the sensor at the thermostat. This was a must for me since my old house had the vent located under the thermostat. You can set the temp by any of your remote sensors.

I compared several of these and this one stood out, even over the Nest, due to the remote sensors. So easy to use, and already saved me about $10 in energy the first month!

Great smart thermostat. I loved how easy it was to install. Favorite feature is being able to see the temp while I am gone, and ,make it comfortable for when I do arrive back home.

I bought this thermostat because of the extra sensor it has. It's always a few degrees hotter in our bedroom. I was skeptical at first, but it really helps. The thermostat itself and the remote sensor have motion detectors in them so it knows where you are and adjusts the temperature accordingly. The interface on both the main unit and the app are both simple and intuitive. Most of the time you just want to turn the temperature up or down, and it allows you to do that without getting bombarded with extra menus or buttons. It also works perfectly with our Amazon Echo and our Apple HomeKit. Defiantly worth owning.

All smart thermostats can program schedules, have mobile apps and web portals... what separates the ecobee3 is the remote temp/occupancy sensor. Do you have a hot or cold room that is a nuisance? Or is your thermostat place in a bad location? The secondary wireless sensor can fix this.

The ecobee thermostat does a much better job than my old thermostat. Along with the room sensors it does a great job regulating the temperature of the house. The app works well giving me all the information to make sure the temperature is correct and saving money from utility costs.
