I wanted to love the Nest, but with the device in a hallway, it wasn't going to provide what I wanted. Enter the Ecobee. With a different learning algorithm and, more importantly, remote sensors, you can get the house right where you want it.

This has become an excellent addition to our automated home! The home is dual zoned so we ended up getting two of these, one for upstairs the other for down. Remote sensors can also be used as motion detectors for our security system!

Product required some changes to the wiring at the head unit, but very easy to accomplish if you are able to use a screw driver. We may just not know exactly how to program it, but it does not seem to always follow the set schedule as it changes things when it senses we are home/gone. Other than that it has been very good. Great to set the temp an hour before arriving home from our phones.

I've had Nest and Honeywell wi-fi programmable systems and both have worked well, but a friend suggested I try Ecobee when I upgraded my HVAC. It defines "smart system" in every sense - great functionality, sleek design and user-friendly.

Easy to connect. Works well. Our upstairs was always cold. No longer a problem.

I reallly like this device. I would highly recommend this over any other. It was very simple to setup and to use. If you have multiple levels in your home, this will work better because of the sensors. Get it, Buy it and Use it!!!!

Love this WiFi thermostat!!! Need 5 wire or 4 wire with adapter (included in box) from thermostat. Easy set up. Took pictures & verified with Ecobee customer support (very helpful). Can set from Ecobee App or Apple Home App.

I really am impressed by the Ecobee. On the iPad app it gives you detailed graphs to review and analyze your AC usage. I chage the temperature by talking to Siri. If you are an apple user then this the smart thermostat you should get

I read the reviews and compared other similar products before purchasing. I have been very happy with this additional to our home! Installation was very simple and love how easy it is to use. I use the weather function on it daily!

The Ecobee3 solved my problem of a cold bedroom. Placing the remote sensor in the room allowed the thermostat to control the furnace by averaging the temperature of main unit and remote. Unit was very easy to install and setup.

Very easy to install and program. Love being able to check the temperature from home as I have roommates who like to turn it down when not looking. I can lock them out from changing it or just set limits on how cold it can go.

I purchased this unit specifically because it had a remote sensor. Our current thermostat/wiring in in a master bedroom which makes other parts of the home either hotter or colder than the settings if door is closed and moving the thermostat would be a significant expense. The remote sensor would allow the thermostat to better regulate the outside areas. I followed the instructions and installation was easy however it would not operate my system. My daughter works for an HVAC Service company so I asked her to discuss with her techs and they responded that the EcoBee was not reliable and that they have had multiple issues and calls with malfunctioning system and recommended installing a NEST instead. Unfortunately, that product does not have remote sensing and doesn't solve my problem. I have returned the EcoBee and am still looking for better options.

Purchased this for our rental property. It is very convenient to monitor the temperature of the house remotely when the place is not occupied.

I waited and read a lot of reviews before getting my first smart thermostat. I hated the manual process of setting the schedule on my previous basic thermostat. Being able to do it in the app is great. Having a separate sensor and sensing when I'm home are huge bonuses. I have SCE and the incentives available nearly paid for the thermostat. I've been running it much more than last summer and my electricity bill isn't any higher, so I know it's running more efficiently. I'm very happy I made the purchase. I know they just came out with a new version adding Alexa inside. I have an echo dot in the same room, so I was happy to get the cheaper version. I don't use the Alexa functionality that much anyways, so I think this is still a great deal over the 4.

Great replacement for our old Honeywell thermostat. We appreciated the easy setup and instructions for our existing configuration (which required the power extender adapter). Nice user interface and easy to navigate menu.

We love it. It works great with smartthings and we like how it senses you when you walk up to it and changes the screen. Easy set up but i do have one complaint, it takes several clicks to turn off or change the system sttings.

I evaluated the options out there and decided on this one, and I couldn't be happier! Modern design, quality build, and an extremely - well thought-out - and intuitive software interface. We have two furnaces/AC units in our home and I had some questions about our furnace type, so I called Ecobee's tech support, Wow! World class! They educated me on the furnace design, made a settings change and boom, up and running in a heartbeat. I was so happy with this company I purchased a second Ecobee for the main level. I encourage you to do your own research, compare your options that are out there (there are suttle differences) and choose what's right for you. I for one know I made the right decision for my families' needs. Great product Ecobee!

I needed to replace an aging Honeywell thermostat on my residential HVAC. After reviewing the Nest, the Ecobee3 and the equivalent Honeywell, I settled in on the Ecobee3. The tipping point for the choice was the remote sensor capability of the Ecobee3. The installation was not difficult, but I did require an "assist" from the Ecobee 800 line on a Sunday afternoon. They were outstanding ... patient and precise. I have used my i Phone to adjust the temperature remotely on a number of occasions - from the local supermarket parking lot and from an airport 300 miles away- Like magic. Highly recommended.

Great for when you leave the house of forget to change the thermostat. Has a nap you can do it remotely with Wi-Fi. And my electric company gave me a $50 rebate and then another $30 every year just for having it
