Great gift option for new home owners. I received one as a gift, and bought this one to gift a family member. Easy to setup and so far great smart home device. Love the ability to remotely manage the thermostat and set up a schedule.

Installation was supposed to be very easy, but I managed to make it more difficult. Support wasn't helpful, but ended up finding solutions online. The user interface is not as convenient as the Nest, but the quality and performance so far is good.

Upgraded from an Ecobee 3. Easy to install and use.

Overall I’ve been satisfied with the Ecobee with a few exceptions. First, I noticed a significant 5-10 degree-temperature swing been two adjoining rooms. This was consistent throughout the day. Solution: Adjust the ‘artificial temperature’ control by 1-5 degrees. I also bought 2 additional Ecobee sensors, placing one in the same room as the thermostat. This seemed to balance out my the sensors by a 2 degree window most of the day which I consider acceptable. Second: I found the same flaw with the humidity sensor. It was off by 5-10%. Solution: Same as above, adjust the ‘artificial humidity control’. Third: The HomeKit temperature based on each sensor often do not match the figures on the Ecobee app. Solution: Adjust thermostat exclusively on the Ecobee app until an update is released to solve this problem. (Note: You can still adjust the temp from the HomeKit app but it may not be as accurate.) My overall experience with the Ecobee thermostat has been positive. I’m able to keep my home at a comfortable temperature while still achieving an average of 15-20kwph reduction per day in a 1500sqft area.

I had heard that this is the best thermostat on the market and it didn't dissapoint. Extremely easy to install. It does sometimes have a mind of it's own and changes the temperature, but I guess it's supposed to do that... Also, the air quality readout is a little off sometimes, but it works nonetheless

I purchase it because my old one is broken after 4 years. This is the updated one with better graphic. Easier to connect to the phone which is important to me!

I owned the Nest 3rd Gen learning thermostat for years and eventually purchased two of the Nest external room sensors separately. I hated the learning aspect of the Nest Thermostat as I was always fighting it to keep my home comfortable. Once I learned to turn this function off, Nest was a great setup. I decided to try Ecobee as it's newer and I thought would be technologically superior. It's a lot larger than the Nest, which bothered me at first, though I eventually got used to it. The Ecobee seems to be a lot less accurate in measuring the temperature of my house than the Nest. The house can feel too hot, but the temperature says it's cool and vice versa. The app is inferior to Nest's too. Nest has a very simple and easy app. Unless you want this thermostat for Apple's HomeKit I'd go with a Nest learning thermostat. I wish I had returned the Ecobee before the 15 day return period.

I have this is both of my houses and it works great. I have humidity issues at my lake house and it tells me when the humidity is too high, so I run the dehumidifier more. Controlling from anywhere is also great, I use my iPhone to control the temp at both houses. It has also saved me money on my utilities.

One of my best purchases. Love the extra sensor as we like the bedroom cooler at night. In 9 months I'm certain that I've saved $300-$400 in electricity and propane costs over my old Honeywell programmable. Being able to change temp via smartphone from bed is also a nice feature.

I absolutely love having a “smart” thermostat. We replaced an old digital screen Honeywell. I selected this one due to the additional sensor that could be added in the hopes it would help the system regulate the hottest area of the house. *Spoiler alert-this will not make your system act like a zoned system. What it will do is help you track the hottest area of the house. The data from this helped to confirm we needed to update our system. Mind you our house was built in the mid 80’s and did not have a system that could efficiently cool every level (3). The app is nice and you can monitor and make changes from a smart phone wherever you are. It also monitors air quality so I’m very pleased. It has settings where you can schedule your system heating and cooling which is a nice feature.

after using a nest thermostat for years, my experience with the ecobee has been 10x better in the one month ive been using it than it ever was with the nest. has a bunch of cool little features, and it does its job as a thermostat. the air quality monitor is a huge plus, as well as the built in speaker and compatability with apple home.

Reluctantly we got this because my wife wanted it. Mary choice on her part. Great item

Intuitive interface and aesthetically pleasing. Installation is straightforward and so far the unit has performed flawlessly.

Great thermostat. Getting the continuous power wire connected was a bit tricky but once up and running this has been by far the best thermostat I have ever owned.

I cannot overstate how much we like this thermostat. A little pricey but well worth the investment. We live in NY PT and recently purchased a home in FL and this has been a lifesaver in terms of being able to keep tabs on what is going on when were away. The air quality monitor is excellent and the sensors are genius...they know when a room is unoccupied and tailor the temperature accordingly. Also, the quality of the customer service is above average. We discovered an issue with our HVAC fuse during install and the tech went above and beyond in helping, including taking us through how to find and change out the fuse in our HVAC system. Truly quality on every level.

Love I love the product but the Eco+ and comfort settings sometime change the temperature more than I’d like. Overall the easy of use and app integrated with HomeKit make this an awesome buy.

Setup was simple like my previous Ecobee 3. This is an excellent product if you use Apple Homekit. Now with Siri integration, works great around the house! Plus many electric companies are providing discounts for these
