    Good dishwasher, but not perfect

I have mixed feelings about this dishwasher after owning it for three months. On the one hand it cleans very well and features like the extra bottle rinse, which we use for coffee and tea mugs, does really work and it is so quiet you have to put your ear right next to the dishwasher to make sure it started. On the other hand there are some negatives as the cycles are excessively long (~3 hours) and because it uses condensation drying the dishes doe not come out as dry as our old dishwasher with a heating element dryer. We've also found that the loading is not super flexible, especially on the bottom rack, so we end up making a lot of runs where the dishwasher is 3/4 full. Overall we're satisfied with the dishwasher as it looks good and is very quiet but it could be better.

    Worst Dishwasher Ever!!!

So I moved into my house a year ago, and I thought, wow it has high end appliances! Boy was I wrong! Electrolux is the worst brand. Luckily I have a home warranty, but I have called twice for the dishwasher, and once for the sink (because I thought it was connected). Each time, the serviceman was able to tell me in seconds that there's nothing wrong with it, it's just an Electrolux. Apparently the motor is tiny and cannot handle anything. Dishes came out dirty. I would try leaving lots of space in between dishes (not overloading it), I practically rinsed everything clean before loading it, and I would still have to wash 90% of the dishes by hand after the dishwasher ran its cycle. I tried different cycles, different detergents, it's just a terrible dishwasher. Sure it's quiet, but who cares how quiet it is if it doesn't do its job?! All glass would come out with soap scum (which I figured out how to remove with vinegar) and all of my silverware looks terrible (I'm still working on the solution to this one). Dishes came out dirtier than they went in, with food particles dried onto my dishes. DO NOT BUY ANY ELECTROLUX DISHWASHERS!!

    Terrible Dishwasher

Horrible dishwasher. Does a terrible job cleaning the dishes, doesn't dry the dishes at all, even on the lengthy extra dry mode. There isn't any volume control and we often can't hear weather or not the start button is selected. The plate racks on the bottom keep collapsing and making the plates fall. The top drawer feels like it's going to break when we have a full load of glasses and cups. The bottom drawer takes two hands to slide it in because you have to lift it over the hump to get it in all the way. If it bounces, the plates fall down on each other. The door doesn't open to a full 90º, so the bottom drawer won't stay in place when fully extended. It makes more sense if the light that illuminates upon completion would illuminate while it's on so that you don't open it while it is running, like the Gaggenau I used to own. The 'Target Wash Zones' don't appear to do a very good job. In summary, it really does nothing well. I guess it is quiet during operation but not as quiet as Bosch & Geggenau.

Hello dgray22, we are terribly sorry to hear that you are extremely unhappy with your new dishwasher. I understand that you feel that the dishwasher is not drying the dishes properly. I would recommend checking a few things before a new service provider is scheduled. Check and make sure the water coming in is at least 120 degrees, do you have heat dry cycle selected, and are you using rinse aid? I realize that as a consumer you feel that these are not reasons for your dishwasher to underperform. Over the last few years Energy Star has issued stricter standards for water and energy usage which can increases the need for Rinse Aid to dry dishes. Regarding your displeasure with some of the features, we certainly hear your voice and will pass your concerns on to our design team in hopes to implement consumer insights for optimal performance in the future. If you should have any future questions or concerns regarding our products please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. -Thank you, Jennifer Electrolux
