My daughter is set on being a Scientist. So, I decided to expose her to as many different things like this as possible. I couldn't pass this up. I always wanted one as a kid, ended up working on electronics in the Air Force, and pursuing a degree in it as well. Thank you Best Buy, for keeping this product in stock, and thank you Elenco for continuing to make this fine product!

Great toy for mid age children. My Grandson loves it! It really gets him thinking and experimenting. He has a much better idea how electronics work and are used in everyday life!

I bought this for my eight year-old and he's been playing with it for a couple of days. There are some things that I like about it: It makes him think when the project isn't working; inserting the wires into the springs works his fine motor skills; and it's teaching him patience. What I don't like about it is that the board seems to be made of cardboard and seems a bit flimsy. I'm a bit concerned about how it will hold up with use.

I owned a similar electronics kit as a kid (a 150-in-one) and was excited when I found this. My 7 year old son has completed several of the projects, and has a lot fun doing them. His favorite projects were the siren, and the radio transmitter. The projects are presented in a format that simple enough for kids, and engaging enough for adults. I definitely recommend the 130-in-1.
