This unit has a warming plate and the glass quality seems good. Good size for someone who only drinks one or two cups a day.

Great Coffee maker for the price.

I generally use my Keurig but want to brew a cup or two from time to time. Didn't want anything big, just a coffee maker this size for the occasional small pot.

I needed a small maker, more than a single cup but no more than 5, for my at home office studio. I have an Elite Gourmet Food Dehydrator, and both surprised me in Build Quality versus the Price. Don't let the price of Elite Gourmet fool you into thinking they are inferior, since most of their items are very cheap. It works great and I couldn't beat the price...plus I used a Rewards Member $5 Birthday Certificate, which made the entire cost under $10 for this machine. Best Bang for your Buck!

The only issues I have with it are the water level window is cloudy and its difficult to readily discern how many cups of water are in the reservoir. But I usually measure the water prior to pouring it . Additionally, most of these automatic drip makers do not heat the water hot enough to achieve a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Water temperature is crucial to the flavor of the brewed coffee.However, this problem is evident in all of these sorts of coffee makers.
