I love the ice cream maker but the motor stops before its all the way finished ( like 5 minutes). I tried to use the manual crank but it's all plastic internally. The gears just slip. I just put the ice cream in the freezer for 15 min and it works just fine.

I've used this ice cream maker once to make strawberry ice cream. The machine worked but in nearly an hour the mixture was thick but still soft--it froze up later in the freezer. We did not try re-packing it as recommended. Next time i'll try using more salt, the barrel is larger than our old one. The construction seemed a little flimsier than, say, a white mountain, but the price was much less.

We've made homemade ice cream for years and had a real reliable one but it finally wore out. we tried to buy the same brand as before and it broke the 1st time we used it. We returned it to the store where purchased and got a exchange thinking maybe it was just a bad motor on the 1st one. To our disappointment the replacement did the same thing. This machine has proven to be sturdy and freezes very nicely.

This is a beautiful machine and a great size for maximum functionality and volume. Love it!! Best Buy offered an amazing deal on it as well. Thanks Best Buy :)

I have only had the opportunity to use this product one time but it worked marvelously right out of the box. It remains to be seen if it is durable. I really like the way the motor attaches to the canister as opposed to the previous makers I have purchased in the past. I also like the fact that it comes with a manual crank (which I hope I never have to use) for in case the motor quits working.

I ordered 3 ice cream makers last year for our annual ice cream social. We liked them so well, I ordered 3 more this year. The ice cream is so good we sold out within three hours. I recommend this to anyone who loves homemade ice cream.

I love this ice cream freezer! The six quart aluminum container allows one to make a little ice cream or a lot! The wooden bucket looks like the old fashioned ones. It freezes the ice cream very quickly with little effort. if you like the ice cream a little firmer, place it in the freezer for a while before serving. The only thing that disappointed me is there was no instruction book included. But it is quite easy to use.

This is a great ice cream maker for large groups. Runs very quietly!!!

The order arrived early. Picked it up and took it out of boxes and packaging. I’ve not used it yet. I noticed funny looking fillers right-away in between wooden slats. Filled and soaked the wooden bucket outside for 3 hours. It didn’t leak out. When using the quiet motor, only the canister is suppose to spin. When using the crank, paddle spins in opposite direction to the canister. The only ice cream maker that offers a motor and a hand crank. I didn’t spend $250+ on this so, when it breaks, I can buy another that’s smaller in size.

Good ice cream maker. Very easy to use. But it takes longer to freeze than I thought it would for a 6 qt.

Directions were confusing, the container that holds the ice cram is too big for our freezer. too long. to make the freezer work you have to put the container in the freezer first. It is supposed to stop when it's done but it didn't so we had to stop it. In retrospect we should of got the smaller one.

I purchased the 6 Qt. model. Priced it at Bass Pro for $99. Bought same model at Best Buy for $69 online with free shipping. Was also shipped a day ahead of schedule. Would definitely shop at Best Buy again. Also, the hand crank was missing from the box. E-mailed the company that made the ice cream maker. They shipped the crank out the same day. All they requested was a copy of the original invoice.

Tried it out. it worked great. Took about 35 minutes to make a full container of vanilla ice cream. Looking forward to more. The price was very reasonable. We went the modern route and plugged it into the electricity, but when camping or somewhere with no electricity the hand crank will work. the kids i'm sure won't understand the concept!!!! lol.

Very sturdy and love the hand crank comes with it because sometimes the kids enjoy the old fashion way

We were looking for a larger capacity, more gallons. This purchase was good to meet our needs and have used it once so far and are happy with it.

This machine is awesome' and Best Buy matched the price.

I like the nostalgic look of the unit. I've had several of the plastic ones and they don't hold up. I think this one will. The motor seems more powerful, the entire unit is heavier and if your want your ice cream firmer you can use the handle after the motor has stopped.

We've had it a month and found that the size is great when making ice cream for large groups and can be reused quickly for making additional flavors.

It s easy to use. Fun waiting for the sweet homemade taste. Delicious recipe available. It’s much better than turn and churning it to frozen stiff smooth ice scream.
