Fancy Thermos with an App :)
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is the battery life. I understand it can't last forever, but I tried keeping it heated at 125* for 2 hours and the battery was dead. Considering what this should be used for, I don't think it would make much more different than a regular thermos. But the interconnectivity with your smartphone is pretty awesome!

2 hr battery life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cup is great. I love that I can personalize it. I would have gave it 5 stars but the battery life isn't the best. I would say about 2 hrs off the charger I would need to recharge it. If I took it on a road trip. I wouldn't be able to keep my coffee warm for very long. Also, it only holds 10 oz. I love my coffee so I wish they made a larger one.

Love Ember Travel Mugs
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now have 2 of these. They do such a great job keeping the liquid at a constant temp. Only issue is that they still don’t hold a lot, Max on the travel mug says 12oz but it seems like less. Love the feature of adjusting the temp without the phone by turning the base. Worth the purchase when on sale for $80.

Nice idea but lid need to allow a straw
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice idea but when u are obsessed wuth white teeth you dont want to pour coffee in ur mouth cause it stains your teeth so I like to use a straw to drink my coffee. Lid does not allow a straw in the slot. Maybe the 2.0 version considers this functionality.... Also pricey so wait on sale to purchase!

Nice but Expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice cup, it is not designed to heat or chill your beverage. It is designed to maintain a temp for a longer than normal period of time. Which it does well, however it will not last more than a few hours. If you can not afford the cup comfortably, a near by microwave will suffice. Nice to have, but I would not purchase it again.

Very convenient
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my wife and she loves it and has been using for 2 months. A few things that would make it better. - A 24 or 33 oz size. This is 16. - longer battery life. She is a teacher and can’t drink right away - ability to purchase a second charging plate. Recharge at work Or in the car

Love it EXCEPT battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really nicely designed cup with fun bells and whistles. The big sticking point, as others note, is poor battery life. Wish it came with a second charger, maybe a USB or car charger, to help compensate. Because I got it on sale I don’t mind this drawback as much as if I’d paid full price.

If you like it hot...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one of these as a gift for my wife, who drinks hot tea all day all winter months. She loved it so much she had to purchase one for me for my coffee. I thought it was a way too expensive purchase for me to have one for my morning coffees (I drink 2 cups each morning on average). I am so glad she bought me one. I will be busy working and forget my coffee, and just got used to sipping on it when I remembered it was there, as it got colder and colder. This past week, I'll remember I have coffee to sip, and it's still at the perfect temperature. Expensive for a mug, yes, but now totally worth it in my mind, now that I've have one - and I don't want to go back to a regular mug again. My wife obviously loves hers, and bought an extra charger to keep it going all day around the house so her hot tea stays the perfect temperature all day.

AWESOME Gadget!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok... Here's the skinny... POSITIVES: Mug is really state of the art and very tech cool. I love the concept and it is really smart. NEGATIVES: WITHOUT using the battery my coffee only stays hot to warm for about 1hr-1.5hrs. My $15 travel mug will keep my coffee HOT for about 3hrs. Warm 6hrs later. So the thermal side of the mug is not very good. I expected a lot more for a $160 travel mug. Battery only lasts around 3hrs. Coffee stays hot to warm for about for about another hour. So... as indicated, the thermal side of the travel mug is not very good at all. It does not retain it's heat and therefore uses the heater and the battery more than it should. A good thermal travel mug, with a battery to keep it warm, should last all day if the heat does not escape the mug. Period. But.... that's just my opinion. I am sure there are others out there that keep the mug on the charger or get a charger for their car. For the money I shouldn't have to. Neither should you.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mug is shortlisted as one of my Favorite Things, right after my dog. It's so nice to make a cup of coffee and then get busy doing something else, and when I come back to it my coffee's still a perfect 140°, right where I left it. Also of great importance, I was an early backer on their crowdfunding campaign, and when one of their early prototypes failed, they couldn't have been quicker to replace it. Great people!

Great idea
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This travel mug is a great idea. It seals Great with no spills. It’s awesome that you can select the temperature of your drink. So the one thing I would recommend is a longer battery life and a larger mug. Otherwise great mug, great idea. I would definitely recommend this.

Keeps My Drinks Hot
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I drink my hot beverages slowly. I can take well over a hour to drink a 12 ounce cup of coffee and without a heating cup, my drinks always get cold. I was using a heating cup, that required a 12VDC power cable, but this was too clumsy to use daily. I have my Ember cup set near the top of the cup's temperature settings and it has no problem keeping my drink at this temperature. I usually set the cup on its' charging plate, next to me at home, but when I did take it away from the charger, it worked well on just battery power for an hour and still had 50% battery power left. I have found that the remote control App does work and can be used with more than one cup, at the same time. If I do not move the cup, regularly, it shuts off and displays a good by message on its' display. I like this cup and use it daily!

Excellent at regulating but not as much retaining.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This should not be confused with a vacuum chamber mug, there is quite a bit of tech and insulation inside this device after checking out a few bits of reviews. But what this mug is excellent at is making sure your drink is at just the right temperature for 2 hours on battery. 3 if you don't mind the coffee being a bit cooler after the battery dies. Don't get this mug if you expect to be away from a designated wall plug for more than 3 hours, but otherwise, get this if you are a bit vagrant or clumsy. Otherwise, the ceramic variants will probably be a better fit. That being said - the lid to this does not leak even when tipped. It's quite a nice design.

Great mug expensive price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mug is perfect for those who like to have tech products it works really good in terms of keeping your heat exactly where you want it. It is a bit expensive though so you might want to shop around or wait till the price drops. they should offer a extended warranty with it which they don’t

Great product, not too many issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good product. Very minor issues I have. Sometimes the ember button does not read I'm touching it or it'll turn off when the battery is not low. Other than that the cup will keep your drinks at the perfect temperature and is my go to mug. Would recommend

Yeti is better and cheaper
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yeti holds more and is lighter. It has a very short battery life, I have the ember cup and love it! I bought the travel mug thinking it would perform at the same level but it fell short.
