Well Worth It

It takes a little learning to not overcook pork chops or steaks, but once you get it dialed in it works just fine. doesn't heat up the kitchen, but I wish it was as quiet as a frying pan. I have actually bought two of these, for two different households.

Sometimes after hitting the button to begin cooking it will sound like it started only for me to return and see it stopped. As for cleaning its not too difficult but the buttons to seperate the pan from the cover will come off feels cheaply made.

The kids also told me that no burnt plastic smell. The basket fits a family if four. The buttons aren't cheaply made. The price was perfect. Dont know much about the name brand. But I would definitely order these for future gifts for others.

frying egg rolls, result is similar to deep frying

We used it once so far, it seems fine, with just some plastic smell around the cooking area in the kitchen, but the food is fine. We even fried egg rolls and compared them side by side with the ones fried in deep fryer, the difference is very little and still very good.
