I needed to replace my rear surround speakers after buying a new receiver that distributes 120W per channel. We use them not just for dolby surround, but listening to music we use the stereo 5-channel mode. For each setting these speakers do their job...very well! Great sound distributed for surround sound, but even more impressive is the power and clarity they release in stereo mode. For the price I don't think we could have picked a better set. The only possible downside is the size, but they are truly bookshelf speakers so I made the decision to forego asthetics for performance. If you decide to use these as surround and want to mount them, I recommend getting Definitive Technology - Pivoting Wall Mount for Select ProMonitor and Mythos Gem Speakers. These speakers are a bit heavy for regular wall mounts, so this pivoting mount is compatible and holds a greater weight than most.

Fantastic price and great sound for bookshelf size speakers. Limited bass because of size but even so the bass is very good for the speaker. Decent looking speakers but just great performance for the price and size.

after listening to various rear speaker system , found that this pair was unbeatable for the money , just do what I did , listen to them and compare with other sets . To me they are great.

I purchased these speakers for my bedroom and do not have a center channel or rear speakers. I had a full surround system previously but lack of space in the bedroom of the home I just purchased had me looking into smaller/less speakers. At the store, I listened to different brands/sizes and decided on these. For their purpose in my bedroom they are great. If I was using them in my living room, I would say they would be better as rear speakers. Overall sound quality is very good and size is perfect.

I didn't want to do the surround sound system, so I bought these for just left and right speakers. They have a good sound for the price.

I put it together with Energy 5.1 take classic , in the front side, and they work so great,now i have powerfull 7.1 system.

These are perfect -- well made, superb sound -- for a small surround sound system (in a double-wide in Florida). Easy to connect to speaker wire.

These beauties far exceed my expectations in quality / clarity / and overall responsiveness. I would put them in any room of my house.

I purchased and then returned these with the intent to pair with a receiver and attach to my computer. I say this is not a normal use because the speakers are only a few feet from me and more of a near-field setup. I had them for a week. Their sound signature is fairly flat, in my opinion, but lacks detail. The tweeter or the crossover seemed to muffle the subtle low sounds. I figure if you play them loud then this would not be as noticeable. I also noticed too much mid range from the port.
