    Great Buy & Huge Screen

My new computer boots up so much faster than my old one. My Tax Software runs so much faster on my new HP Computer. Love the huge 17" Screen it lets me have Spreadsheets open on half the screen while other programs are used on the other half screen. Very fast, this is my first HP Computer and I love it. I tried HP, because I just love their printers.

    HP's Tech Support sucks

Do not contact their support for serious issues. It's somewhere in India and they are unqualified to resolve issues that relate to the hardware of this computer and software. For example, I have an open Case ID # that I was supposed to call me back the next day. Didn't happen. Another phone call from the supervisor, no action... Went through the same scenario again the next day..."they" said the would contact me on Monday (4 days after the initial contact). HP Technical support AND HP's responsiveness is TERRIBLE. Never allow them to do a "wipe" of this notebook. The restore does not bring up the original capabilities of things like facial recognition, and other enhanced features active that MS pushes for ease of access.

infuriating trying to work on this computer

HP ENVY i7, 16GB. - about $1100.00 - this machine is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen. SLOW - everything is slow - boot up takes about 3-4 minutes, same to update email. locks up every time I use it. battery life is awful - maybe 2hrs at best. web cam doesn't work. WINDOWS has gotten to be such a bloated mess that the PC is useless as a machine to actually work on. every update it just gets worse. The screen looks nice except for the dead pixels. Gonna have to save up for awhile to try MAC.

    Huge problems with this laptop

This laptop seems to be in repairs more than used. Two hard-drives replaced and now the screen needs to be replaced for the second time. I have had to send it into HP twice for repairs and now that it is out of warranty, I am having to spend a ridiculous amount to get it back up and running. This is the worst laptop I have ever owned.

Slow, Just Not HP/Microsoft Quality-i7 is a Joke

I really had my hopes high when I purchased this laptop at full price a couple of months ago. It is used only for school, (full time University student) and occasional shopping, when don't feel like using other Lap Top or Tablets. It is not my primary PC, and there are basically no files on this computer; I put everything on flash drives. There may be 10-15 pics/quotes. The only programs on here that I use are Office 365 Pro Plus, and Acrobat DC Pro Reader, and Windows Reader. I've actually had Microsoft delete a lot of the files that came downloaded on here as default; i.e. xbox, amazon, really every file that had nothing to do with school and research, besides the news and stocks. I clear the cookies several times a week, and it just keeps getting slower and slower. I have called Microsoft as well as HP several times; to no avail. Microsoft "tech" got on here and started deleting things left and right, deleted my Office 365; I was able to restore it, but my Word 2016 and Outlook 2016 DO NOT work right, at all since then, and when I call I can never get any help. So I basically need to take a brand new $1400 computer to a "shop" and have it worked on because Microsoft and HP can't get it right. I have called back several times since the employee screwed up everything, NOTHING AGAIN!!! SO MAD!!!. So sick of this compute; used to only use HP, now highly considering changing to Apple. I like the phone, maybe I'll like their computers. Can't be worse than what I have with this fiasco!!! DO NOT BUY!!! WASTING YOUR MONEY!!! DEAL IS NOT WORTH IT!!!

    Poor engineering on LCD Panel

    Posted .

I was completely happy with this laptop for the first three months, then the lower corners of LCD panel started popping out of the top case when moving the hinge. It's only a tiny bit now, but I can't help but think it will get worse over time. I called HP customer support. I was informed that the problem was caused by my "abuse", and would not be covered under warranty. I know how I've treated this laptop and I can assure you the has been no abuse. HP has done some poor engineering in the design of this LCD panel and it's customers will pay the price. Before you buy this laptop pay careful attention to the top case and judge for yourself. Buyer beware. This is absolutely my last HP purchase.

    Absolute Filth

When buying this laptop, I made absolutely sure that it would be the best purchase for me. It sounded like a perfect deal since I play relatively intense games and just browse the Web. Not even into the hour, it began to blue screen on me. For those who do not know what a blue screen is, the PC places this symbol ":(" and says it has to reboot. Afterward, it emits a HORRIBLE SCREECH that you'd swear will never end. Bottom line, I CAN'T DO A THING WITH THIS LAPTOP! My advice, either save up more for a gaming laptop or stick with a more affordable laptop and build a gaming desktop in the future instead. DON'T CHEAP OUT WHEN CHOOSING A GAMING LAPTOP!!!!

    Was greatly disappointed

Upgraded to this from an HP Pavilion that I loved. Well, upon startup, I was given errors and OneDrive froze. Not good for first run. Once booted up, I couldn't download the Chrome browser. Returned and was going to exchange and saw another customer doing the same, so I just got my refund. Would not recommend.

    Terrible computer

BUY A MAC!!! For a $1000.00 laptop its is a brick, it has been nothing but a headache. I bought it for when I went off to college but soon realized it was a terrible decision. Every time I turn it on it has to update and that takes anywhere from 30minutes to 2 hours, all the programs will stop working and 5 minutes later will say it's not responding then will magical start working again just to stop 5 minutes later. The only good thing about it is the fingerprinted scanner other than that I would never recommend this item to anyone. BUY A MAC!!!!

I have owned three HP laptops. This is the worst one of them all. It worked for the first couple of months. Then, it would not hold a Wi-Fi connection and would just automatically restart randomly.
