Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the ENVY 27" Touch-Screen All-in-One's large screen size, speed and performance due to its powerful processor and SSD, and the ease of use. Many appreciate the stylish design and find the touchscreen convenient. While some wish for a detachable monitor, the positive feedback on other features outweighs this concern.

    Nice Machine

Performs as it should with it's specs. To clarify, the computer has a 256GB SSD, AND a 2TB SATA Hard Drive. The online description does not mention the SATA drive, and when I chatted with a Customer Service agent before buying, was advised that I would need an external HD for additional storage. I do enjoy the almost instant start-up, as I was used to waiting about a minute for Windows to load on my older machine.

Had a 6 year old iMac I was looking to replace. Apple has just taken so long to really update the line, I know its coming in 2017 but I got tired of waiting. I decided to look at Windows all in ones. Being a long time Mac guy, the exterior design is at least somewhat important. And since this was to be a family PC in view of the kitchen/den/etc we did not want the typical tower/monitor setup with wires. Came across this model on the HP website. Decided to give it a try. Ordered on BestBuy.com and picked it up in the store about 90min later. Nice to not have to wait in line. Walk in, sign some paperwork, walk out. Nice. Even though the screen is the same 27in size of my older iMac, it looks smaller due to the surrounding bezel being so thin. Overall the computer looks great in person ! Looks like just a monitor on our kitchen desk. Keyboard is a small but well made rechargeable model. Keys feel ok. The mouse is so so. Too light weight and has a funny feeling ridge on the left side. At least for me. Works fine, just seems not as well made as the computer or keyboard. The computer overall feels very well made. The monitor is very nice. Colors and contrast are great. I have a large collection of digital family photos I need to organize, it will be enjoyable on this monitor. Same resolution as my iMac, 2560x1440. The iMac Retina is a little "sharper" screen, but equipped with similar specs, its about a $1000 more money, and still not touch screen. Speed with the SSD as a boot is very quick. My 11 yo son will enjoy basic computer games with the 4gb of discrete video ram. Overall very happy with the computer as a family computer. Its not a gaming desktop with maximum frame rates, nor does it claim to be. For web surfing, MS Office type work, most Photoshop work, other average home task, school work online, and some fun games every now and then, It looks and performs excellently !! I won't lie, I wish I had a comparable Apple option in a similar price range. But to get an AIO with a great design, great screen, great performance, and a decent chunk of change back in my pocket, this one is hard to beat. Get an aftermarket mouse and this one will do a family proud for many years.

    Amazing Machine

This machine is absolutely amazing. Very well put together, screen is great - technicolor certified and very bright. Infrared camera for Windows Hello is reliable and makes logging in very quick, I basically abandoned my fingerprint reader - that's how well it works. Machine is plenty fast and I am able to play my favorite games in full resolution, with all settings maxed and anti-aliasing enabled (Sim City, Cities Skyline, Starcraft 2, Ori And The Blind Forest). It's very good for work, since the resolution is 2K (2560x1440) - it basically works as well as a dual monitor set up with Windows+Left/Right shortcuts to dock windows and split screen. It also runs at 100% zoom (windows DPI scaling) avoiding the blurriness and artifacts that are the case with some apps when running other zoom factors, which is why I avoid 4K (HDPI) displays. Plenty of power with i7 (35Watt), 16GB RAM and NVMe SSD. Speakers are pretty good too for desktop usage.

The first thing I noticed was how fast this computer starts. I have another i7 full tower desktop, and this starts in a fraction of the time - in under a minute I can go from powering up to browsing the internet. The speaker system that is built in is surprisingly powerful and the controls are so easy to access and adjust. I use this with a cintiq tablet for art, drawing and photo editing with adobe photoshop. The program works quickly without lagging, the software used with it has caused no conflicts. The giant touch screen monitor helps my work flow and I find myself reaching up to touch a button - its so much faster than using a mouse/keyboard. The only bad thing about this is the monitor is possibly too big, because you can't sit very close to it for long without eye strain. It can be very bright, but has good dimming adjustments to help with that. It's just that for a touch screen you want to be in arms length, and this thing takes up your entire vision. However, for my purpose of editing art and picture files it's really great for seeing all the details. Played World of Warcraft and Smite games on it without any issues, so graphically it can handle gaming too.

I routinely have several design programs that I'm using at the same time, so I needed something that wouldn't get bogged down. This has worked great over the last month. Setup was easy. I also love the speaker, the extra-wide screen, and the all-in-one design. If I did a ton of advanced 3-D rendering I might have to upgrade my graphics card, but it's sufficient for my level of use. Would recommend.

I like all in one set up on this computer. Screen is very thin. Base is small but sturdy. There is a camera on the top of the screen. It's hidden. You need to press on top and it will pop out. I like that for privacy. Good keyword. Mouse however does not have separation for left and right buttons. It's same design as Apple mouse but not as nice. Some will find it odd to use at first, however you get used to it. SSD and I7 processor makes computer feel very fast. 16gb is plenty of ram for having many applications open at once. Screen is very bright. This computer has and hdmi input. So you can plug in PS4 and use the display as a monitor.

This Computer Truly Has It All

After owning an old HP Touchsmart for over 8 years, it was time to upgrade. I searched for hours looking for the "one" and when narrowing down my results through budget, comparison, and performance, I kept redirecting myself to this computer. This is by far the best All-In-One on the market for the price and performance. If you're a Microsoft Windows PC guy (like myself) to you this would be better than Mac, I believe it truly is regardless. The i7 is fantastic, the screen is beautiful, the sound bar sounds good, the 256GB SSD paired with a 2TB hard drive should leave you with tons of space for years to come. It's fast and powerful and since it is an All-In-One, it is a HUGE space saver. It's quiet as well. The only minor cons at all is that the keyboard that comes with it is made cheap and that there are no USB ports on the sides at all, you have to use the one's in the back. DVD/CD drive wise, just buy one of the LG one's for $20-$50 and you'll be fine. Overall, this computer is one of the best.

Had an Hp AIO, so was preferential to Hp. Was looking for a replacement with all the bells and whistle, this computer fits the bill. Screen is bright and computer is very fast. Has all the latest technology, PCIe SSD with NVMe, USB-C port with thunderbolt, IR camera for use with Windows Hello. Keyboard was a little to small for my comfort so replaced with my older keyboard. Plenty of ports for expansion. If you are looking for a computer for today's modern age, you can't go wrong with this computer.

The all-in-one with a 27' screen offers excellent clarity, a solid state drive and an Intel Core i7 which provides the power to handle most anything that the average person might need for home, business or research purposes. Excellent stationary unit which can; if necessary, be moved around and quickly setup in a new location. Only two weeks ago, set it up but thus far very impressed..... .

I love this computer. Brands always try to make their all-in-one computers as thin as possible, which isn't always the best, thermal wise. The computing part of the computer is at the bottom. It never gets more than warm, so it never has to throttle the speed of the computer, due to having more room. The computer is very fast. I bought it for the graphics. I love the display and the colors it displays. It is much better than any other HP computer I have bought. If you are debating on whether to purchase this, or the 5k iMac, buy this! It is amazing. I think my favorite feature would be the dial on the base of the computer on which I can control the volume.

I wanted a fast computer and a computer that had some memory. I really like this computer. It's fast. The screen is touch screen. It has many ways to login to the computer which is nice for me. The speakers are nice. The only thing I didn't know at the time is that it doesn't have a cd/DVD drive. I had a buy an external one. The screen is big so you can have many things open at once. Good buy for me.

Was looking at another brand of All in One over a year ago and when i went to purchase it, the specs had changed. Fortunately this model just came out and was at the local store. The price point is there and is competative. The specs are just what i was looking for, fast start up, enough RAM, Memory, all i had to do was add an external DVD drive to install some of my older stuff and burn CD/DVDs. The USBs are in the rear of the base so if you want easier access to the USB, buy and extension. The Screen is great, sturdy, and vibrant. Fast start ups due and access to programs to the SSD and processor. I do video and photo editing with this unit and it replaced my monster full size box. I am very happy with my pruchase.

This computer solved all of our problems of too many wires! Sound is great and no more extra speaker wires and clutter from actual speakers on desk. Quick speed and looks sleek. Connected a second screen no problem. Tons of features and hidden pop up camera is a nice touch for security.

I bought this computer knowing that it had a SSD. I knew that it was last year's model, but I knew that it was better than what I had. The screen is the best I have ever had as I can use 2 full web browsers side by side without having to scroll to the right on either of them for what is cut off the screen. The hard drive is a hybrid which you can see in the specs, but it doesn't show that it has a 2TB regular along with the 256GB SSD. It has a HDMI input and an output. The keyboard is rechargeable. Something minor is the webcam has to pop up to use the microphone, but that is not that big of a deal. My wife was so impressed by it, I gave her this one, took her new Lenovo AIO back, and bought another one of these for me.

I got this as a Christmas gift and coming from a very old pc that was so slow, this thing is wonderful! Love the size and being able to have multiple windows open as if having multiple monitors. Happy to get rid of the old tower and all the cords that came with it. This has only the power cord, everything else is wireless. I like that the camera is in a small pop up from the top of the monitor but always fear someone watching me so I keep it closed. BUT, that is also where the microphone is so I have to leave it popped up if I want to use Cortana.

I have built several computers for our family in the past. We decided to get this all-in-one because it had all the features of a top end desk top with the added bonus of a huge touch screen and only 1 wire (power cable). It works great and it's uncluttered look is nice in our home office. With a SSD for the operating system, it boots super fast. But, remember to go into your documents folder and set its location to the regular hard drive so you don't clutter up your fast SSD. Graphic card will pushed video really well with no lag. We have not tried any high end, intense gaming though. But, that's not what we bought the machine for. Overall, very satisfied with this computer

Having bought Dell computers in the past, I was skeptical about buying HP until my daughter in law bought an HP laptop with reviews that were great and it has worked perfectly for her. So when I decided to buy a computer with the specs I wanted, the decision was between the Dell and this HP all in one. The specs and reviews were identical, but the HP was considerably less expensive so I went with the HP all in one and have been very pleased. There was one issue in the beginning though that made me rethink my decision. It was that my very nice Bose computer speakers did not seem to work with it and there is only a microphone plug on the side. The built in pc speakers were fine, but I liked my Bose ones so I messaged HP support only to be told that I wouldn't be able to use my speakers. However, I don't give up easily and a few days later found a dialogue box in the right side of the taskbar called HP Audio Switch that allowed me plug my speakers into the microphone plug then choose speaker/headphone. Yea...problem solved and my speakers work great! I just have to turn them off when I turn off the computer.

Recently bought this unit and am amazed. I love the large sized touch screen pc and love it. We watch movies on this while playing xbox or ps4 on the big screen. The touch screen is very easy to use as well as the pc. P l eanty of strange and the graphic card is great for the reason I bought this is for a 3d design programakes my older pc could not comply with.
