Tanks of ink, not tiny cartridges, tanks! Wireless! It has its own email address - you just email your printing to it 24/7 from anywhere in the world! It's Star Trek stuff! It scans, it copies it prints, it will even do two-sided printing. I'm training mine to polish shoes next. My previous printer's ink was equal to the purchase price for the printer. One fill up here guarantees you 6500 pages! or more. I'm sold on the concept and so far on the performance. I'd recommend this to anyone - already am bragging about it to friends - well-built,nice footprint, great copies and documents, colors are great, lots of diagnostics, reasonably fast output, the perfect printer for a busy family/home. Simple interface nice supporting software and integrated well into all my PC programs. Should be on everyone's think-about-this list.

Not too big, doesnt use a lot of ink (I've gone thru 2 reams of paper and the ink is barely down) and is very quiet. Only thing i do not like is no paper tray...and the p asper feeder is at the back of the printer in a hard to reach spot if u have the printer up high on your desk like i fo.

I had an Epson which I really liked but the cartridges ran out too fast. Saw this and wanted to try it. Reviews were mixed, some said hard to set up and others said ink ran out to fast. Well, I didn’t have a problem setting it up at all. In fact, it was very straight forward. The screen could be bigger but that doesn’t affect functionality or set up at all. I love how the ink creates a vacuum entry so there is no mess. As far as how long the ink lasts? I am a teacher and I have printed almost a whole ream of paper’s worth of assignments and grades, etc. and it had only changed the black ink level by ONE line!!! It might feel a bit flimsy but it’s on a shelf so it doesn’t matter. Easy to load paper and everything. My only wish is that it duplex printed as I hate to waste paper. But I haven’t had time to look for that feature yet so... And lest you think that it was easy because I am a young techie, I am not. I am nearly 60. But I am a bit of a techie so anyone should be able to get this lovely printer up and running to perfection in no time.

I purchased the Epson ET 2720 for the EcoTank ink system. To replace my prior Epson printer with ink cartridges. Set up was very easy. I will save money on ink replenishment. The unit is light weight. I really like that the paper feeds from the back. As a paper crafter. I change paper frequently. It prints 216 GSM paper with no problem. This model does not has a memory card slot. If that is important to you. I don’t print photos anyway. I love this printer! It is pretty quiet too.

I have wanted one of these for a long time and finally got this one. It's fantastic for the price with CMYK. It comes with a complete fill up ready to go. It's quiet and fast. The scanner works great. The only drawback is that the picture loads in the back like older printers (no tray) so the can have easy access to it. Setup was easy and used the my routers function to connect instead of entering a password on the tiny screen.

I have had this printer for over a year now and have not had any problems. It is still on the first fill up of ink. The ink is easy to fill and If you need more ink you can find it anywhere at a cheap price. Its small and simple to use. If it had a fax it would be even better over all great printer at a great price. If you are tired of buying expensive ink get this printer the ink will go a long way.

...then this printer might be the solution for you. The ET-2720 printer is the basic super tank printer that Epson offers. I personally very much dislike the fact that cartridges cost so much for how little you get, and especially hate the fact that with most printers, you cannot print with one cartridge if you don't have the other, even if you don't need it. It seems very sketchy of companies to do this, so when I saw this printer, I thought to myself, "Why not?" This printer claims to have up to 2 years of ink in the box. I haven't owned this printer for nearly long enough to tell you that the claim is true, but coming from other users, it seems that might be the case. A printer that can scan and copy, with 2 years worth of ink right out of the box? This is where I would end the review, case closed, ink tank is the affordable future of printing. Unfortunately this is not the case, and there are still a couple of issues that I found. First off, if you print pages very frequently, especially at a moments notice, this is not the printer for you. Epson's website shows that the ET-2720 has a print speed of 10.5 ppm in black, and 5.0 ppm in color. This is not an issue for me and might not be an issue for common, everyday home users, aside from it just being a slight inconvenience for people that only bought this printer immediately without looking at anything else because you save money on ink. I also found that the printer seems to have connectivity issues. Whenever I turn the printer off, it will not remember my Wi-Fi when I turn it on again, and using the setup .exe is a hit or miss. When I try to scan a document directly from the printer itself, the printer will not detect my laptop, even when connected to the same AP, on the same bandwidth. I got it to work *once*, but I am not sure how I managed to do it. It might have been a firewall issue of some sort, but I just cannot find my laptop when trying to scan using the buttons on the printer. Oddly enough though, I can scan directly through my laptop without issue using the Epson Smart Scan app, it just doesn't work the other way around. It is not an issue for me, but it can be an ease of use issue for users who use a desktop that is not near the printer. They would have to walk to the printer to leave the document in to scan, then walk back to the desktop to scan through the app, and then go back to retrieve the original document. Other reviews have stated that they had connectivity issues as well, and I'm not sure if this is an issue with the model itself or if we just have defective models. It could even be user error, but is probably a mix of all three. This specific model is not capable of auto 2 sided printing, which again, is really just a minor inconvenience if you're here mainly for cheap printing. I have no complaints on print quality, but I have been using the standard quality on Epson's printing preferences, so I can't say much about the high quality preset. If you're going to use the printer's maintenance settings, be wary- I have heard that a noticeable amount of ink is used during cleaning. Some of the software that the printer installs with is good. Epson's Smart Scan app works perfectly, and Epson's Photo+ app works if you are printing pictures out. Though, the printer preferences and related items that come with the driver are slightly blurry and look old. For the average home user who prints a large amount of documents and doesn't care how fast they come out nor care if they have to manually 2 side pages, this printer is a godsend. You get an enormous amount of ink, and when this printer is on sale at $199.99, it is almost definitely worth the price. Just be wary of some of the ease of use issues that fellow users have, and realize that like most things, this tank printer are not a complete solution for your printing needs if you're not willing to sacrifice a little bit or pay a little bit extra for a higher end Epson ET model.

VERY easy to set up. I was worried about the mess that might be involved in filling the ink tanks, but it went smoothly. Though it was handy to have a paper towel close by just in case. It took a few passes to get the ink charged/aligned. Once all set up, everything has been smooth sailing. No problems getting the wireless to work, and prints are great!

I use this printer to print out tattoo stencils. It is beyond easy to use, the photo printing quality is amazing and I can print photos or drawing directly from my phone or tablets wirelessly! This printer has saved me hours and hours of work time from hand drawing stencils, and the stencils come out 10000X better! The stencil ink also does not rub off!

For the price range ($199) it exceeded my expectations in quality of prints, and ease of use right out of the box. Not having to deal with cartridges is a bonus. You really do just fill & chill. It’s compact size makes it also an attractive option if your workspace is rather limited. For all those reasons, I would say it is a great buy.

The printer was really easy to set up and is very user friendly. I like the fact that the ink can be refilled as needed. I hope the ink lasts as long as they say it will. If so, there will be a huge savings in ink cost. Also like that the size of the printer isn't too big so it does't take up a lot of desk space.

The printer was easy to set up and easy to use. It’s a bit faster printing than I expected (win!). I was a little concerned with how the ink would work and was thrilled with how spill proof the process and products are! It’s still new to us and no problems or complaints to date.

This my second Epson printer in ten years so that should give you an idea of how long these printers last with proper care. This is my first ecotank printer so I am looking forward to not spending as much money on ink as on regular printers. It is worth the price to have ink that potentially lasts up to a year depending on how much you print. The printer is a good size, not too big or bulky so it should easily fit wherever you need to put it. I keep mine on top of a short bookcase next to my desk. The print quality is excellent! I look forward to having this printer for the next few years. Great brand and great price! If you are looking to make the jump to an ecotank printer, this one is definitely worth looking into.

I am so happy I bought this printer. I had been researching eco tank printers for almost a year before I bought this. I have never spent this much money on a printer before but the ink cartridges for the printer it replaced were getting harder to find and I was spending $50 every other month on them. Set up on this was a breeze, print quality is fantastic, scanning is easier than in my previous printer AND at the rate we are going, just with the ink that came with the printer, it's going to have paid for itself in the first 6 months. Very happy with this. And happy I get to feel better about the smaller footprint without all the plastic ink cartridges I was going through.
