I have had this printer for 7 months now and love it. I can print directly from my phone, I can choose via my computer to scan a document on my scanner. My ink so far is good and pretty easy to install. It did give me some message about how important it is to keep the ink full so no issues occur. Not sure what that means as my ink is still more 3/4 full. My last printer, I ran out of ink every three months or so. I don't usually use the printer functions, but have had to a couple of times. Things I don't like...1) the paper tray. Its under the paper catch tray. So I have to push in the catch tray to get to the paper tray under it. You pull down the door of the paper tray and pull it out to load paper. My last printer had a flat catch plate and a small pull out extender on one end (to keep paper from falling to the ground). You had to raise up the catch plate and put paper into the paper feed tray. So much easier. 2) The display on the printer/printer buttons are annoying. You have to use the arrow buttons to the right of the display to navigate around the display. Arrowing over left, right, up or down to get over to the close or copy button is annoying. I wish it was touch screen. 3) The scanning software. Its just a plain white box that pops up on your PC screen that shows your main settings and advanced settings. Down at the bottom is the format (PNG, Jpeg, etc), then the file name. The file name is a long string of numbers which you cannot change. You can not give the file your own unique name. Once it downloads to your PC, then you have to go to the file location and search for the file and rename it there. So annoying. You can choose where the scan goes on your PC. My last printer had a really pretty box that popped up. It asked what we wanted to do as there was a list to select from, then the next page allowed you to crop the image if you needed to and the next allowed you to choose the file location to save it to and give it a unique name. There were also other creative options as well. 4) It only comes in white. I wanted a black printer, but white was the only color choice.

Excellent home printer and utility that comes with it. The print quality super good. I can print stuff through my wifi network and use my computers and phones to print stuff. I can even print stuff when I'm away from home with the internet. Took a while to set up but it's worth it if you take the time to set up and align your printer properly. I got some ultra premium glossy paper to test out photos, they turned out amazing.

This printer is life changing if that’s possible. I bought this about 2 yrs ago- and it still works perfectly and I still have 1/2 of all the color ink and 1/3 of the black ink that it came with when I purchased. That’s 2 years of moderate amounts of printing and it’s only used HALF the ink it came with. It’s a little expensive but it’s worth every penny and more. It has a really cool app too that can make stationary with any picture you want and lots of other stuff.this deserves 20 stars!

Got printer today set up was easy. Installing software was easy and simple. So far I am happy I went with this printer. It took me 3 months of searching printers and reading reviews before I chose this one. I had hp all in one printer and was looking at eco tank printer. It’s not as loud as hp printer when printing. It’s kind of expensive for the printer but hopefully it will save me money in the long run with ink.

The Epson ET-3710 printer has been the easiest printer I have ever setup. I was concerned about pouring the inks into the inkjet but the bottle connected perfectly to the tank openings. I wanted a inkjet that did single copies or scans, not a multiple feeding unit.

Over the past 20 years, I can't tell you how many $49 printers I've bought at Black Friday sales - just to get the ink. Then HP got smart and started selling the printers with only partially filled cartridges. My wife is the family's elected person to do photo collages for parties, anniversaries, funerals, whatever. All I know is when she starts one of these projects it means a run to the store for another $50-$100 ink purchase. Enter the Epson Ecotank. Unboxing it, I couldn't believe the size of the supplied ink bottles. According to Epson, each bottle set is the equivalent of 20 cartridges. I believe them. Filling the tanks is foolproof, each bottle has a shaped tip that will only fit into the correct tank. The supplied setup instructions are excellent, unlike many of the pictogram leaflets so prevalent today - there are actual words! I was up & running in less than 15 minutes, and that includes connecting Wifi, downloading software, setting up the scanner, and getting a proprietary email address for the printer. This is not a dedicated 5 ink photo printer, I do have an HP with the photo cartridge for comparison, That being said, it does an excellent job, photos being crisp, clear & bright, certainly good enough for handing out to friends, family, and, of course doing those photo collage projects! I can see myself putting $50 in my pocket every time one of those comes up. It's not exactly quiet, but noise level is on par with most of the HP units I've had in the past. The scanner though is ultra-quiet - I couldn't even tell with my hand if it was running, I had to lift the lid to see if it was moving. Scan results were excellent. I was also happy with the compact size of the unit, it does have some heft to it, and peeking under the hood, I was impressed with the the build quality & design. There's also a 2 year warranty, which adds to the value. Looking forward to spending some time with this printer, and especially looking forward to not having to run out to the store in another month for some overpriced ink!

    Finally an Economical Inkjet printer

First I hate buying ink cartridges, but love the convenience of printing pictures and color images (and copies). It's always been a catch-22, until now (almost). First it takes about an hour to get the Epson 3710 set up. Time to load the ink into the ecotanks, time for the printer to initiaize, then to connect to your home network, and time to install Windows/iOS software. My box did not contain an installation disk, only instructions on where to download the software from (this is actually preferable to me as I know I'm loading the latest software). With a fast connection the download took less than a minute. But I'm getting ahead of myself, as the last part of the setup is the software installation. So you when you unpackage the printer, there are a bunch pieces of blue strapping tape that keep all the parts in place during shipping. Find them all and remove them (2 hidden under scanner). Then you load the 4 ink bottles (keep in mind once the ink is loaded the printer should not be tipped (keep it level)); all are keyed so they must be put into the right tanks, note there will be a little ink left in each bottle, re-cap set them aside, well get back to them later. Then you plug the printer in and power it up. The printer will ask you to confirm you loaded the ink, then the on screen (2.5" color lcd) you start the initialization process, which takes about 10 minutes. During this time the printer sucks some ink from the large tanks into it's internal reservoirs, does a lot of repositioning. You can now load some paper. At the end of the process it will ask you to print a series of alignment pages (5). On each of these pages you will be asked which of several images is better (closest to perfect alignment). Choose the appropriate image number and move thought each of the alignment tests (these can be re-done from the maintenance menu). Once aligned you will be asked how you want to connect your printer to your PC/network. For most you will use wi-fi to connect to you internal network (you can also connect to a PC via USB, Ethernet to your network or use wi-fi direct to the printer). I used wi-fi to my home network; the printer can only see 802.11bgn networks (so no 5g n or ac). It will show you the networks you can connect to and then allow you to specify the networks password via the input screen and selecting from the displayed characters (clumsy but it works). I believe it also support WPS (where you push a button on your router to add a product), but I did not try this. Now the printers ready to use, you just need to install software on the device(s) you want to use it from. I started with a windows 10 install based on software found at: epson.com/support/et3710 The download was very straight forward. Before running the software install make sure that your computer is on the same wi-fi network you selected for the printer. Now proceed with the install, which will install drivers and Epson application software, the software should automatically find your printer (it did for me). At the end it will ask you to print a test page, if all went well it will emerge from the printer a few seconds later (it did for me). Setup also lets you set up the printer as cloud device (giving it a email address you can send to it to print) and for MS "One Drive" printing as well as setup for iOS/Android devices. I setup my iPhone to print from Epson's app found in the app store. Again an easy operation. So, so far, so good. My test pages all came out properly from my various devices. At this point I recommend adding the leftover ink from each of the ink bottles to the printer, there is not much, but the will nearly fill the reservoirs, the bottles can then be discarded (note the ink refill size is 502 (your likely to need more in a couple of years). I did a number of tests with color copies, I found on the default density setting of 0 for copies were a tad light, but changing the default to +1 the results were very good. All text that I printed was excellent. I then loaded some 4x6 HQ Canon photo paper and send the printer my first photo. It was pretty good, but not exactly true colors, the darkest areas were not a inky black, more of a very dark gray. The yellow and blues were pretty true, but the deep dark reds, here a tad light, more dark pink than dark red. Flesh colors were pretty good, acceptable. I guess it probably fine for 90% of the print's I make (no worse than I what I expect from Walgreens/CVS digital prints), but for real HQ prints I'm going to keep my canon 6 cartridge printer. Maybe with more use the quality will improve/change (I only tested 3 prints I send directly) one that I scanned had the same not quite deep red issue, and you could see it did not have the full resolution of the original. I've attached a series of color copies showing density-1,0,+1 & the original, here again you can see the red heart is a bit pink, but all else (especially the last +1) looks great. I also have a Laser printer that I use for text output, I compared the laser output (600dpi) to the mono output from this printer, and this EcoTank 3710 was just as crisp, and the gray scale output just as good as what the laser produced. The laser was much faster, and holds 500 pages vs 150 in this EcoTank 3710 printer. Finally in summary, this printer is a great buy, especially if you consider total cost to output the first 5000 pages/prints. I don't expect to get 200 pages out of my canon cartridges, so every 200 (color) pages cost nearly $60, using their larger cartridges its more like 400 pages for $85. I've bought new printers to avoid replacing cartridges (and with each generation they are a different cartridge #s) where the cost of the new printer (with included ink) was about the same as a full set of new cartridges. I now plan to stop doing this. I'm accustomed to duplex printing, and would not buy another printer without it. This printer is no speed demon when dealing with duplex printing, but it's fine for small jobs. I do wish it could handle 2 paper sizes without needing to change the paper. I'd like to keep letter, and 4x6 print paper in the printer, I don't think any of the ecoTank series of printers support this (yet). Yet, I highly recommend this printer, unless you're expecting HQ photos, in which case I don't think you'll be satisfied. But for any plain paper printing this is a great buy.

This is a really nice printer, compact in size compared to others I've had with the same functions. The instructions for setup were easy to follow but once trying to connect to their server to complete download of everything it had connection issues a few different times even after turning off pop up blockers and all. I tried a few more times and it finally went through. After that the rest was a breeze. I connected wirelessly so I can't speak on other connections. Setting the ink up was very simple and neat. No messing with ink heads. The way you fill this is idea! It comes with bottles for each color. When you go to fill each it has a little surround around the head of the bottle that connects firmly to the designated slot on the printer so there's no spilled ink or mess. It automatically stops filling once its full and you simply disconnect the bottle and save the rest for later. The LCD on the front is adjustable and easy to read. It has a multi keypad so you can select through all of the prompts while setting up or selecting what you want to do. Epson has a few different apps fr this depending on what you want to print from your smart phone. I chose the one specifically for pictures and all. There's another to print from Facebook and other social media apps. The one I chose gives great detail about the printer and ink amounts left. It also gives you some nice options on a variety of things to do. Again with the app it was pretty effortless which again was nice because some can be a pain. This is actually my first Epson and I am very pleased thus far. One thing I was concerned about was I filled the toner slots up completely. I only printed out the 4 or 5 test pages and two pictures to test the printer and the amounts shown decreased alot so I'm not sure if it was a mistaken reading but this printer quotes I believe it was 7,500 black and 6,000 color pages before running out but the bars showed it used a good portion of what was in it as you can see by the pictures below. Overall it's a nice printer. The pictures I printed out were nice and rich in color. I'd recommend it to other buyers

Economical Printer Ideal for Home & Small Business

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'm tired of those inkjet printers that require cartridge changing so often. These ink cartridges are often more expensive than the printer itself and they don't last very long before you need to replace them. This cycle is unnecessarily expensive and generates more plastic waste which is bad for the environment. The Epson EcoTank breaks this wasteful method and is much more economical and eco-friendly. Instead of individual expensive ink cartridges, refilling ink is quite easy and simple. There are individual bottles of ink that you feed directly into the ink tanks built into the printer and each ink bottle can last you 6000 to 7500 printer pages in color and black, respectively. The ET-3710 All in One SuperTank Printer prints in color and also has copying and scanning functions. It connects to the network so everything can be printed wirelessly, a feature that is necessary in this day and age. I found the whole setting up process to be extremely easy and straightforward. The instruction manual included is only 4 pages long and includes directions on how to fill up the ink tanks, load paper, and to download the drivers or app needed to access the printer on your computer, phone, or tablet. I set up everything in less than 15 minutes and had no issues connecting the printer to my home network. There are a lot more pros than cons for this printer. It's ENERGY STAR certified so it uses less electricity than a traditional printer and each ink bottle is supposedly equivalent to 80 ink cartridges. That's a lot of time and money saved! I thought the filling the ink into the tanks would be a mess but the process was painless and clean. The small LCD screen on the printer is adjustable and easy to read from, and the keypad is simple to use. In terms of print quality, it is very acceptable for an ink-based printer and good for printing documents and work files with simple graphics. It's not nearly as clear or sharp as a laser printer but I find that a printer in this price range is ideal for home and small business use. There are a few things that I do have to mention that may be considered cons. I did find that the lack of a document feeder heavily detracts any serious usage of the scanning and copying functions. Scanning and copying one page at a time is a bit tedious, so I use this solely as a printer. So if you're someone that needs to use the scanning and copying functions more often, I would suggest spending a little bit more for a higher-end EcoTank model that includes a document feeder. The color printing quality is very decent but not extraordinary, so if you're looking to primarily print only color photos, there are more expensive photo printers that are dedicated for that usage. Rather, I feel that this printer is an economical workhorse perfect for document and work printing. Overall, this seems to be a reliable and convenient printer that helps save time and money. It's easy to maintain and easy to set up. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-3710 All-In-One SuperTank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I must admit, that this product is a headache because any time that my software update it must be reprogrammed to my Wi-Fi services again and again, and also when I try to print from another source it’s hard for it to find it, I truly wish that I would have gotten my old epson fixed, for it preform better and faster that this new one, plus I didn’t have to reset it every time my software updated, what I’m I thinking when I replace my old for the new, and they want even give an consideration on thing that goes wrong with their products

I’ve been using this printer for a few weeks now and I have decided that I am switching to this on a full time basis. I had previously using a Ricoh color laser printer for about 4 years, but this Epson has already proven it will do everything better. The setup process was extremely easy, although a little different from most printers since you have a tank to fill instead of a cartridge to insert, but it couldn’t be easier. I thought I was going to have a big cleanup after refilling but no ink dripped, spilled, dropped, nothing! Very impressed. It has a simple and easy to use interface which allows quick access to the menus and settings which allowed me to quickly and easily setup my WiFi and link it to my Google Cloud Print. It was just as quick and easy setup for installing it on my PC since it was already connected to WiFi. Although not my primary use, I did print out a few photos to test out the quality since it would be nice to be able to print photos from home. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the photos, they looked a lot better than the prints I usually get from Walmart. The colors were a bit darker than my original photo, but there are a TON of photo color settings that I didn’t touch so I’m sure that’s a simple tweak. Printing regular documents were fast and looked great like they should. I saw others complaining about the plastic feeling “cheap” and flimsy, and I have to disagree with that. The plastic has a very nice feel to it and it isn’t the classic very hard and brittle plastic you see on most printers and other plastic electronics. My only real complaint is that the paper tray doesn’t hold a full ream of paper. It’s not the end of the world, it just seems like a silly oversight on a printer with an ink tank that can do 80x what regular ones can! I will update the review with any new findings as I continue to use the printer day to day, but so far I am very satisfied with it and would absolutely recommend it. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-3710 All-In-One SuperTank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Didnt think it would impressed me but so far it has! This printer is great! The set up is pretty easy, as long as you follow the manual. Dont skip a step! With this printer you can print, copy and scan. You can set it up wirelessly, which makes everything easier. It lets you print from your desktop computer, laptop, tablets or your cellphone. If you choose to print from a mobile device, Epson has an app you can download that helps printing a lot easier. You can adjust your printing setting from your phone through the app. You can also send documents, pictures or anything you need to print from your workplace or anyhwhere via email directly to your printer by creating an account with Epson, Register your printer and they will let you create an email address for your printer where you can send what you need from wherever you are! When printing, it can get a little noisy. Although it has an option to print silently, it still makes noise. It doesnt bother me but it could be a deal breaker for some. The screen isnt touchscreen, that could be a deal breaker for some but its still pretty easy to use. Overall, I think this printer does an excellent job. I think it would work great as a home printer or for a small  business. The size is perfect, not too big and not too small. I think what it does for me and Im very happy with, its the ink. The printer comes with 4 bottles. 1 black, 1 magenta, 1 cyan and 1 yellow. You just insert the ink bottles into a port and it will stop filling by itself when its full. Its supposed to last 2 years, I cant say thats a true statement yet but so far its been great. Im very happy with my new printer, I would definitely recommend this printer. Awesome Product

This printer could not come at a better time. I was in desperate need after my old printer was in desperate need of retirement. So after reading about the Ecotank they seemed perfect. Not only is it wireless but it is an all in one that prints, scans, and copies it is cartridge free. Something that is super helpful since I always hate scanning or printing personal items at work. Plus it always seems like you need after hours. With school both my son and myself it is becoming more as a necessity. Especially since I heard my sons 5th grade teacher prefers hard copies to emails. Overall great features. Now to focus on the actual printer itself thoughts and opinions. As far as installation goes it was super easy as long as you have a little knowledge of hardware setup. Pretty much the paper instructions describe the basic how to's then the printer does the rest. It was super easy to fill. Actually pretty awesome. The printer tells you as well. You just dump the ink in the little hole it fills. It uses a majority of the bottle but still some left over so have some room for top offs. Literally the only issue I had was about a minute of how to put in the paper because I did not open the tray and slide the prongs out to accept the paper. That was on me just trying to stick in and if I would of read the instructions on that set would of probably noticed sooner. My computer easily picked it up and that was it. I then decided to use each of the features. The scanning is awesome it scanned the item no problem and it was even which seems to be an issue with some of the home scanners I researched. The 2 sided printing feature is pretty cool. I actually was in need of printing out some list so sent it through the printing was again even and printing easily legible. Some at home printers also have an issue of being to light to fully pick up the scan bar on items like postage. I had to print a label out and the Post office easily scanned quickly no war with the scanner. The final feature is the color printing. I decided to print out a quick little card to put a smile on my husbands face when he came home. The color came out and looked wonderful. Overall I am amazed at how well this printer works especially being no need for those crazy expensive cartridges that my old printer used. I am very excited to keep using all the features this printer has to offer. “This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-3710 All-In-One SuperTank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I would recommend this to a friend
