Customers are delighted by the EpiqVision Ultra LS300's impressive picture quality, ease of use, and convenient short throw capabilities. Many appreciate its brightness, even in daylight conditions, and the straightforward setup process. However, some users have noted concerns regarding fan noise and the durability of the HDMI ports. The projector's size may also be a factor for some consumers.

The Epson LS300 short throw projector was one of the simplest projector to set up and has one of the brightest pictures with good resolution and great contrast. The picture is viewable even in a brightly lit room. Very easy to adjust the image area with corner adjustment. The Operating system the projector uses in Android is not as sophisticated as other smart TV,s but lots of customization capabilities

What can I say other than this projector is awesome! I’ll start with the pros.
Pros: The setup was extremely easy. There weren’t a lot of unnecessary steps and components. You just take it out of the box, put the batteries in the remote, connect the projector to your outlet and power it on. Boom! That easy. The projector is very sturdy but not overly heavy, it definitely travels well if you want to move it throughout your home or wherever you choose to project.
Next, the quality. When you hear projector, you probably think about the big clunky piece of junk your grade school teacher would wheel around on the cart right? WRONG! This projector gives my 4K Smart TV a run for its money. The picture is so clear you honestly forget it’s a projector. Actually that’s not true because the whole time you’re looking at it like, “wow! I can’t believe this is a projector”.
Cons: Not many cons. I just wish Netflix was one of the apps that was already programmed. Also, all of the different buttons on the remote get a bit overwhelming.
Overall, highly recommend this product to anyone who is searching for one.

This projector blew away my expectations. I actually have this set up in my lounge area, which happens to be a Sunroom on the back end of my home. Very clean visuals in daylight, but of course even more stunning at night or when room is shaded. There's no auto keystone correction, so that is one drawback. I have my XBox One S and PS4 Pro connected, so the HDR capability is definitely one of the reasons I purchased this projector. Surprised I didn't get any blurred lines or shadows while playing online game of Fortnite as well my Gears of War 4.
God of War and Days Gone on this projector is just amazing. I'm using a standard 100" projector screen but I anticipate when I upgrade the projector screen I will be in for more of a treat.
Best part? The projector fan is 10X quieter than my PS4 Pro fans! Although there is 2 modes that make the fan work a little harder, but still not annoyingly loud.
Great entry way projector for your buck. The Yamaha speaker is impressive too. You will still need to buy a theatre/sound system at some point, but it gets the job done out of the box. The audio doesn't "flimsy" like standard TV speakers. It sounds more like a 10w Bluetooth speaker with built in EQ and Bass Boost features.

Excellent Short projector for large screen

This is an excellent in home projector that blends in short throw which is close to the wall. It has a decent sound system and all the Android Chrome Cast smarts are built in. I thought the setup was easy and clear just like a smart tv would be. I liked that you had the Google assistant to pull up You Tube videos or perform searches. The Projector displayed a 85" screen at a distance of 23" and 105" screen at a distance of 28". The color is white and blends better than the Black version which I like. The only issues are that it did not come with the screen which is another $800-$1000. So this now becomes pretty expensive for a family entertainment and at $3k you can get a 75" screen TV of decent quality so I guess this works if your into the whole movie theater experience. The other negative is this is not good for outdoor screens as they have too much wrinkles and creases. This needs an extremely flat screen to get the most out of it. I also liked that it is fairly bright and can be ISF calibrated. This is only a 1080P projector that can take a 4k signal but will not display a 4k image. In my testing you could most likely not tell since it is projection vs LED/OLED where the difference would be apparent. I also like that since it is Android security downloads were simple and current. There is also a warning if anyone gets in the way of the laser which is a good safety feature but can be turned off. The sound is decent and bassy for a built in projector. The sound definitely drowns out the fans which can be noisy when sound drops in a scene. Definitely the most refined projector I have come across so far.

Lights, Camera, Action! - Epson Ultra LS300

First impression of the EpiqVision Ultra LS300 is Epson has designed a trendy device which will look marvelous as a focal point in living rooms or Home Theaters. It looks fantastic and is nicely accented with the Yamaha speaker mesh along the front of the unit. Typically, I am not redundant in my reviews but the LS300 is worthy.
Flowing naturally from the first impression was the simplicity of the product I discovered in unboxing. There are four items in the product mix, the projector, Quick Start Guide, remote and power cable. Control Panel consists of four buttons. The remote has a total of seventeen selection buttons compared with my other remote which has thirty-eight. The remote supports Google Assistant, and it works very well. The Quick Start Guide will walk you through the basic setup quickly, though I recommend downloading and utilizing the Owner’s Manual for complete setup.
Appreciate how thoroughly Epson has researched and designed the whole product and delivered an impressive system that does not require an engineering degree to get it off the ground. Kudos.
The LS300 utilizes innovative Ultra-Short Throw technology/design, in a nutshell that means you set the projector on a typical TV table/stand inches away from the wall where the picture is projected directly up to the screen. This is a totally cool.
Android TV is the built in OS and which I have used and find to be a solid system. Managing the TV and apps with Android TV is easy to use and intuitive.
The Android TV supports many streaming apps such as HBO, Hulu, YouTube and many more. What is very surprising though is Netflix and Prime are glaringly missing? Fortunately, I had a streaming box available to access Prime and Netflix so not a big deal, but I have gotten away from streaming boxes years ago due to all available apps on Smart Systems. Though not a big issue it is a pain having to keep one more remote… Hopefully Prime and Netflix will show up in an early update.
The Good Stuff:
• Built-in Android TV with an uncomplicated/excellent remote
• Supports Voice Search with Google Assistant
• Supports Chromecast
• Two HDMI HDCP 2.2 inputs with HDMI ARC support
• Optical Audio Out
• Yamaha 2.1 Channel sound system
• Bluetooth – speaker mode
• Up to 120” Projection - amazing with projector inches from wall
• 3600 Lumens Color Brightness
• “1,500,000:1 Contrast Ratio and Dynamic Contrast”
• 60hz refresh rate
• 2-year warranty which includes “full-unit replacement, along with free technical phone support for the life of the product”
• Laser Light is rated at 20,000 hrs which should translate into about 14 years
• Wi-Fi 5 Mbps or higher - Would have liked a hardwire option for the network
• Superb Owner’s Manual (download)
Have not desired a screen over 65” in the past and felt that the picture may overwhelm the living room.
Upon turning the Epson LS300 it was Love at First Sight! The system is gorgeous, the picture is dynamic and as has converted our living room into a family theater. It is marvelous experience that fills the senses. My family loves the new addition.
After receiving the LS300, I ordered a ALR 100” screen from Best Buy and installed which compliments the LS300 brilliantly. I am fully converted from the TV box, to borrow from an adage, “seeing is believing”. Two of my friends came by to watch football with me, one will be replacing his 70” screen and the other his 75” screen.
If you are looking into Home Theater or just desire a large screen, I would suggest giving the Epson system a long look, it delivers.

This a Very good projector and Super easy to setup. Doesn’t do 4K Content, but Honestly you really can’t tell the difference. The remote control is easy to use as well. And the speakers on it work very well. No need for additional audio in smaller rooms. And you can use it as a Bluetooth speaker with your mobile devices as well. Just wish it supported Netflix.

I'd give this projector 5 out of 5 stars if it weren't for a few small issues I've had in the few weeks I've had it.
Issues:
1. Built-in Android TV w/ Google Play Store - Epson should make it well known in advance that this system does NOT support Netflix and Amazon Prime Video without the use of an additional streaming device. The projector is "Smart," but for whatever reason doesn't support certain commonly supported apps in its current build/configuration. I could not find a reason why...
2. Many of the features in the settings have little-to-no explanation of their function.
3. While playing movies using the Google Play Movies app and all audio routed through an Onkyo stereo receiver via HDMI, the audio periodically clips (cuts out intermittently). This appears to be an issue with how the either the app itself or the projector itself handles surround sound. To answer the question before it's asked, yes, the Onkyo receiver works without problems outputting surround sound audio to other devices (i.e. PS3/PS4, etc.). This happens intermittently and isn't a "Deal breaker," but it is annoying especially when it happens during dialog or a really nice cinematic scene.
Pros:
-Great picture quality (very high resolution compared to other HDTV's and even 4K projectors)
-Fast response times in menus and apps
-Economically priced for its performance and features
-Aesthetically upgrades living space (no obtrusive TV staring blankly at you begging you to turn it on), get some wall space back!
-Doesn't need a projector screen or long extension cables (we have ours just about 18" from the wall (off-white color) it projects onto with a viewable space of about 97.5")
-Built-in speakers are actually pretty high quality. If you're not an audiophile and don't have a sound bar or stereo receiver, you can get decent audio richness straight from the projector's built-in speakers--uncommon amongst competitors to say the least!
Considerations:
1. Upgrade HDMI cables to 4K-rated cables (this projector has a native resolution of 150,000:1 which is into the 4K spectrum of resolutions, though it doesn't specifically call itself a 4K projector. We noticed an improved image quality after upgrading our cables)
2. The minimum wall space required is still roughly a 10' L x 8' H space. We keep a shelf/stand on the wall that keeps the picture at a comfortable viewing height.
3. The lighting system uses a laser, which has an incredible lamp-life, but can be dangerous for young children or pets that may pass in front of the projector from time to time. The system does have a sensor that temporarily shuts the laser off if something passes in front of it, but if this fails it could still be a hazard (I think the risk is relatively low though).

This is an excellent projector! I have an Optoma GT1080 Darbee, which is very good for my needs, but was looking for something with a shorter throw. The 3LCD engine produces more vibrant colors than the DLP engine on the Optoma, very engaging. The sound is also very good! Ultimately the deciding factor should be screen size and resolution. I was ok with 1080P, but I bought it hoping I could get to 150”, but the limit of 120” specified by the manufacturer is legit - anything larger than that will get too out of focus, especially if you are projecting in an imperfect surface. Keep it within the specs and it is a very good choice for a UST projector.

Please people..Pair this with a 100 inch ALR screen and you won't look at a tv the same way. Great brightness and picture quality for a 1080p projector but the advertised contrast ratio is a joke, it doesn't even compete with my 20K-1 contrast ratio optoma. overall I would recommend this projector with a good screen. Why spend all this money for a good projector and not use a good srcreen with it like a lot of reviewers here. lol

Great price point and quality. The built in sound bar sounds amazing. I still need to figure out how to connect it to my Denon sound system as a second source HDMI arc input. It would be a definite plus if the apps included Netflix. It delivers a crisp projected picture. Some of the reviews state the fan could get loud but, so far we haven’t noticed it. Every review comparing similar mire expensive laser short throws has this model in the mix. I’m using a standard pull down screen and the results are impressive.

Awesome clarity. Using it outside for a poolside theater! Love the colors, easy to set up and works perfectly with the screen. Best part is that when we aren't using it outside we have it on our dresser and get to watch a 120 inch screen.
HDMI arc made it easy to connect to sonos and then stream to all of our outdoor speakers from there. Definitely recommend!

One of the best products ever sold on bestbuy. The first time I set it up, it was out of focus so I was worried 1080p just wasn't good enough at 120 inches. However everything was fixed with the focus dial, this thing really is that impressive! I am using a beige
colored wall and the light output of the projector is strong enough to display near perfect colors as good or better than my 46 inch aquos from 2007. It overpowers the beige wall. I feel I dont need a screen, it already looks good. The immersiveness of 120 inches really gives you that cinematic feel too. If you stand close to the wall, it looks just like a tv with the screendoor effect. It is amazing to see something like a giant tv on your wall.
This projector is simply awesome when there is no or minimal direct sunlight blazing into your room. 1080p is still good enough for a 120 inch image, it is still a very clean, sharp image so dont worry about it. I was worried 1080p would look faded at that size but it looks great, like better than movie theater level film quality. You definitely want a good bitrate though, which means blu ray is going to always be better than youtube and other streaming. Definitely an awesome product at night and can also be very enjoyable in the early morning and before noon. The most struggles I have is around 1-4:30 pm when the sun is strongest even with thick curtains closed, the sunlight gets through and the image can look faded. I find that tv shows on blu ray tend to have bolder color than films and they can look better than movies during the daytime. You definitely should watch film at night. Videogames also have strong, bold color and can be played during the day. Although I prefer watching shows and movies on this projector so I unhooked the games consoles. It is because good gameplay can simply be enjoyable at any size, small or large. Also to be honest, it feels just a bit laggy compared to my old aquos. I also tried a chromebox computer and the the mouse lag could be felt by just a bit. Get this for movies and shows.
I bought this 1080p projector simply because most of the best entertainment in history is in 1080p anyways. A 4k projector will be more useful and cheaper down the road when there is plenty of movies and games released in 4k. There is simply not that much content compared to 1080p and you would be wasting the life of a 4k projector if most of the stuff you viewed on it was 1080p. Xbox series x and ps5 have just gotten started and so many films are still not filmed in real 4k. So 1080p should suit alot of people just fine. And if you sit back about 10 feet, it looks great with no pixelization and very good color. 1080p is still impressive.
There are 20000 hours expected on this projector you can use it 5 hours a day for a long time. The power output in watts is around 200-300 depending on brightness level, not much different than my old 46 inch aquos tv. That is an impressive stat. The sound is really good too so you can skip the soundbar purchase. Since you can place the product a couple of feet from the wall, it really makes a great alternative to a tv. It is not that heavy and can be moved easily to another room. A 85 inch tv can be cheaper, give you 4k and can be watched without fading during the daytime. But tvs can also develop vertical lines in the middle of the screen, overheat and crack because of their thin frames, and develop other issues. A big tv is hard to move. So my personal decison was this projector.

This projector's HDMI ports lasted less than 14 months. The projector itself was still functioning, though. Just not the HDMI ports. They would list the name of the device that I plugged in, but stopped showing the picture. I tried running multiple devices directly into the HDMI and still nothing would show up. I usually had it plugged via the ARC to my surround sound, so I never really unplugged the HDMI.. I was told by a best buy employee that another major brand also has the same issue.. I would recommend this projector because it has amazing picture quality, and it's short-throw.. but if I was you, I'd purchase the warranty with it!

This is a good all-in-one projector but with it comes a lot of pitfalls. The fan is loud, the App Store is half-baked, there's no Netflix compatibility, support and upgrades are lacking, and lastly, 4K HDR plays only at 30fps. The latter means that, even if you have Netflix's UHD plan and are able to project through using an external setup, one will still not be able to see Netflix in 4K because it requires at least 60fps.

This thing is absolutely AMAZING!! Takes up minimal space, no mounting necessary. Sits about 4" away from the wall that it projects onto so no need to hang it on the other side or in the middle of the room. AND the integrated yamaha sound beats the old sound bar we used to have. Plus its one less piece of equipment to clutter the entertainment center. We couldnt be more pleased.

Where to start... This is a difficult review because I wanted to love it. I will go into the negatives and the reason I returned it first then the good things last. 1st the unit does not support Netflix. 2nd Hulu plays sometimes and sometimes you get audio with the picture greened out. This is intermittent and depended on the video selected. 3rd Amazon Prime was supported but had the same issues as Hulu with the video greened out. I could have dealt with not supporting Netflix but the supported platforms only worked intermittently. In fact, the only reliable video source was HBO Max and Youtube. There may be others but those are the only ones I have subscriptions to. Regardless, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video only working part of the time was the coffin nail for me. I looked online and seen others were having the same problems. I feel this is an issue with the software and not the hardware but a defect non the less because those platforms are supposed to be supported. If you Chromecast a video stream, it would do the same thing and say it is not supported on this device and display a green screen. The picture quality was good and the projector was bright but ran out of focus before the 120 inches this unit is supposed to be capable of. If you don't mind using an apple tv connected to it or like said device and do not mind a little smaller image than stated it is capable of focusing well then you would be happy with this unit but one of the main reasons I selected this unit was for the built-in soundbar and smart capabilities. It has definitely fallen short on smart capabilities. Maybe Epson will get this resolved with a software update and correct these issues but until then it's a no for me Dawg!

I was worried if the projector would perform well in ambient light. It does! You can use this projector well during the day with no issues. Its very convenient as you dont need to mount anything. The built in sound by Yamaha is great.
