My Epson ecotank et-3600 printer is fine for our purposes- we wanted a printer that would do 2-sided printing and would be economical in terms of ink. You are told that it does not do auto 2-sided printing, but you can specify both sides on each job, flipping on long side OR short side. I've been using the printer for a couple on months now, and the tanks are still over 2/3 full. I have two complaints. First, I can not keep the printer from sleep mode, even having shut off the eco-mode as directed in the manual. In other words, with the printer in another room down stairs, I have to go turn it on unless I've used it within a few hours- this may have a simple solution, but I havent found it yet. Secondly, the touch screen is VERY klutzy. It directs you back and forth between up, down, sideways, back and home buttons as well as B/W or Color- almost as hard as the Sunday Sudoku!

This printer is the best printer I've ever owned! I've never had ink cartridges dry up or run out of ink ever. All the bad things I use to go thru with other printers is No Longer a problem with this printer! I would recommend this printer to anyone!

I previously purchased a larger version of this ECO printer for my business and decided to purchase one for home use. It is a great printer and very economical to use and maintain. VERY HAPPY

The one reason I bought this is so I don't have to spend ridiculous amount of money on ink cartridges anymore. So far it's done its job just fine. It gets a little cranky with printing things the sizes you want them and have yet to find a solution that actually works. But so far that's my only complaint.

I love the fact that the ink is lasting a long time. It prints great! Have not had any paper jam. The color on my pictures are very clear. It was easy to install. I love the fact that it prints double sided. Very happy I bought this printer.

Easy setup, works great!! First one had defective Ethernet port so I bought it back. Best Buy exchanged it out no questions asked. I buy all my computer and printer equipment from them

While the Epson 3600 does a good job of printing and I liked the auto-reverse feature, I returned it within 14 days and ordered the Canon G3200. I am very pleased with my Canon G3200. Both of these printers, the Epson and the Canon are "ink tank" printers. No cartridges to buy and that was the big attraction for me. I had been a Canon ink-cartridge printer user for many years, however, the cartridges were getting more expensive and harder to find. The Epson came with large bottles of ink but so did the Canon, ordered from the Best Buy website (both of these printers should be available in stores..the Epson is but not the comparable Canon G3200). The deal breaker for me with the Epson was the way in interfaces with my computers. Also, no borderless prints with the Epson. Canon does borderless on the G3200 as they have for a long time and Epson does on some NON mega-tank printers. The wi-fi worked fine on both printers, but the problem with the Epson is that once you select your paper on your computer then you have to go TO the printer and match that paper choice on an LCD screen. Cumbersome and a backward use of technology. Canon, on the other hand, does it all from your computer. And their included Easy Print photo printing program is excellent. The Epson comes with no software for photo printing. Canon has included photo-printing software for a long time and my Canon MP640 was the first printer that allowed me to print a 4x6 or 5x7 EASILY. The Canon G3200 allows me to do the same. Using Photoshop to do this print size selection is difficult compared to using Canon's Easy-Print program. The Epson had so no such software and then there was that problem of matching the size and paper type from your computer selections ON the printer. While the paper path worked on the Epson for card stock, the Canon paper path is much more straightforward, particularly useful for heavier paper as the sheets go tops-down from the rear. Canon has no auto-reverse feature, but their manual two-sided printing is easy to use and hasn't bothered me as I thought it might. Epson does make a model that has a similar paper path but I don't think it comes with software for easy photo printing like Canon is doing. I have been very happy with the Canon G3200 (over the past month of use) and am grateful for Best Buy's return policy on printers. No re-stocking fee, even though I had opened the ink bottles to try the printer. What would be helpful to the customer would be IN-STORE WORKING MODELS of these new generation printers so one could compare, feature for feature, Epson vs. Canon in the mega-tank war. Incidentally, all of Canon's tech support on printers is USA-based and they answered the phone promptly. Did not need to call during setup or since using the printer, but I had pre-sale questions they answered. Trust me, I don't work for or am paid by Canon for this review. I'm just a long-time Canon printer user and have been very pleased with that brand. I made a mistake in departing for the Epson and was able to hurry-back to Canon thanks to Best Buy. Trying the Epson 3600 made me realize WHY I am a Canon printer user.

The love the fact of all of the ink you receive for 2 years. But disappointed that you can't increase or decrease on a copy. The key pad is not user friendly to change settings.

Just got this printer via an employee accommodation. It's a good printer, but the liquid ink replacement is a bit awkward compared to the cartridges my family is used to.

Buy a cheap printer you get marginal performance or expensive as hello ink. This printer has ink tanks rather than wasteful cartridges that don't work well. I love it.

I was looking for a printer that you don't have to keep buying cartridges for. I have printed pictures and several pages with this printer and the ink level has barely moved!! Love the refillable ink tanks!

No more buying expensive ink. Kids can go crazy, print anything. All the photos you want, go for it. I have them at my office too. Gotta buy 3600 or greater in the series, lower units print too slow.

At this time my printer works perfectly. Time will if the recommendation holds to be true. I have not purchased any additional inks as of yet so we will see if this unit is able to preform as stated.

My Epson ET-3600 was easy to set up and works great. I am now cartridge free! Sorry HP (not). Best of all, Best Buy gave me $50.00 for my old printer. That's better than sending it to the dump.

Seems like a well made printer. I am still not sure about the tank ink. There is a significant difference between cartridge printers and this tank thing. I will have to see if its worth it.

So I've only had this a couple weeks but so far it's been a really great printer. It'll take me forever to use the ink they give you in the box.

Opened up the box, followed the directions, and machine wouldn't work at first. Quick call to Epson, however, cleared up the problem. Prints fine and hopefully it has a long life. I like the idea of the ink bottles; it seems more efficient.

I like this printer and its abilities when it works. No major issues, but connectivity so some devices have been problematic. I would buy it again though. I think I would look at the next model up for the multiple document scanner feed.
