    Best printer available

The Epson ET-3600 is the best printer that I have ever used. It has so many great features. You can use mobile and tablet printing. It has a great scanner that is easy to use. The best feature of all is the Eco tank that you fill up with bottles of ink instead of using small cartridge's that you have to replace every month or more if you print alot. The ink is easy to fill and you can see the level of the ink also. I will save so much money using this printer that it will pay for itself in no time at all. You can print 11,000 pages on a fill up. I received the Epson ET-3600 for free to do a beta test and review. If you are on the fence about purchasing this printer, you need to go ahead and get it I promise that you will not be disappointed, it's a great printer.

Great high volume printer but a bit costly

Note: This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have had experience using numerous color and BW printers, both ink as well as laser. Prior to reviewing the product I want to give you my unboxing experience. The printer was well protected with your expected protective bag, tape in various locations on the printer and styrofoam packing to secure the printer and accessories in the box. Somewhere along the line, some of the styrofoam broke into multiple pieces somehow which caused some of the ink bottles to be shifted around a bit and little styrofoam pieces all over the box. The ink bottles are in vacuum sealed bags, so other than being messy from the styrofoam bits, it didn't effect the performance of the printer. Most, if not all of these things I noticed have been mentioned in other reviews or in the product manual. Filling the ink tanks is a simple process of opening the ink bottles and pouring the ink into the tank. You might get some ink on your fingers but it washes off fairly quickly or you could just wear gloves. The tanks are clearly marked but there's nothing to stop you from accidentally putting the wrong color ink in the tank. There's probably different ways the tank opening or bottles could be adjusted to prevent this, but I fear that would increase the cost of the printer and/or ink bottles. The initial time to charge the system after filling the ink tanks is about 20 minutes and it's a bit noisy. Print quality and speed are great, it also supports 2-sided printing. Text is sharp and comparable to a laser printer. Photo print quality is also great. Noise while printing seemed somewhat louder but I think thats due to it printing pages quicker. It says the ink lasts 2 years which is based on how much you print, in addition the ink I received has an expiration of 12/2018. Scanning quality was great as expected but the time to scan seemed to take longer than expected. You can scan to the cloud or to a connected computer or computer on the network. For the price, I would think the unit should have: 1) ADF - automatic document feeder 2) USB port - i.e. print from media or scan to media The price for this printer is higher compared to other comparable home/small office printers but you make up for the cost from the savings in ink. I highly recommend this product, especially if you do a lot of printing.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Out of the box and set-up was fairly simple and a great additional surprise was the second set of all ink colors. I am anxious to see how long the ink lasts. It’s a very nice size even with the extra space needed for the ink reservoirs. I appreciate the clarity of the control panel – simple and direct. As with most electronics, the LED screen sends of some light so it’s a reminder to turn the printer off when sleeping or resting in the same dark room! The print clarity is amazing and professional… generally, I use my printer for photos of the grandchildren, craft projects and occasional resume and business printing. So far so good, I would recommend this printer to anyone needing a home office or personal use printer.

    Solid Printer So Far

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I've had this device for about a week and have no problems with it. so far. This printer is different than traditional inkjet printers, since it does not use the expensive proprietary ink cartridges. Instead it uses bulk ink which is poured into reservoirs on the side of the printer. This could be an advantage if you are looking for lowest long term ink costs, but could be a drawback if you don't want to pour ink. Pros: Easy to set up, lots of ink provided with purchase, decent print speed and quality. Cons: Unit is a bit wider than some printers due to ink reservoirs on side of unit, ink may be difficult for some users to work with

I’ve had this printer for 5 years. I’ve printed thousands of copies and spent under $100 on ink. Most definitely the best printer I’ve ever used.

“This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” Out of the box, the setup went very smooth. The connection to the network took me a small amount of time to figure out, however less than 30 minutes to print. I am printing letter only, one sided. The spool time to print is as quick as it is to walk to the printer. Additionally, I use my phone and Ipad to print as well. This is something I was not able to do prior. I was using a wired laser. Very happy with the quality and speed of the printer.

    Great Printer . . . No Cartridges

I was home when the printer arrived, so I went right to opening the box. Included is the printer, Quick Guide Manual, Start Here Sheet, Setup CD (being an Apple home, I had no need for this), Power Cord, and Initial and Bonus Bottles of Ink. After unboxing I began the set up process. Following the 4-page step-by-step Start Here sheet, setup was a breeze. Being very careful (as instructed), I emptied the Initial ink bottles into the ink tanks. The bottles and tanks are color coded to ensure getting the right ink in the right tanks. A nice Epson touch is that the tanks are translucent, so you can see the both the max fill line and the level of ink remaining in each tank. After filling the tanks, and powering on the printer, the screen prompts walked me through the steps to set up the date/time stamp and prime the system. That part takes about 20 minutes (the instructions warned me of that), but it can be done unattended. Next was the network setup. The printer has USB, Ethernet, and wireless capabilities. Network cables are not included with the printer. Following the onscreen instructions, I had no problem connecting the unit wirelessly to my home network. The is the first wireless printer I have used where I had no glitches connecting. As soon as the process was completed, I printed a variety of documents from my MacBook Air . . . now came the real test . . . printing from my iPad and iPhone. This is where I have always encounter problems in the past. Not this time. I was able to print from an iPad Mini, and iPad mini 4, and two iPhone 6s. I also shut the printer and mobile devices off, and restarted them. Still worked. After using the printer for three weeks, I have not had a single instance of not being able to connect. Now for actual results. I’m using standard copy paper for my everyday printing needs, and a heavy high gloss paper for photos. It prints double-sided (as necessary), automatically flipping the page internally. The print quality is excellent for both text and photos. I’m very much looking forward to not having to replace ink cartridges. This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 Eco Tank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. It is very easy to set up and install as the wifi connects easily with this machine. I like the fact that there are no cartridges and the color quality of the prints are beautiful and clear. I would recommend this printer especially for those who do a lot of color printing. Its size is perfect and fits nicely without being an eyesore. It is a quiet machine and works fast. I would buy this myself as it is worth the money.

While I am not ignorant of technology I do sometimes have trouble setting up equipment. I was able to not only get the printer ready for use alone, I was able to connect it to our Wi-Fi and print at will from my iPhone! The print quality was high, and I was able to print a photograph from my phone to frame as a gift for that day. I like the large ink wells and the fact that the ink isn't crazy expensive. The ink that came with the printer will last for a long time. Filling the reservoirs was easy peasy with no mess.

This is a great printer for those not looking to spend big money. The ink, while a bit hard to put in, lasts you a long time, making it efficient and affordable. It is light on features, but what you do get is a solid printing experience. Easy to print from any device with great quality. A must-buy for budget spenders. Bad software and network experiences

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The printer is easy to set up and prints well when it prints at all. The initial software download and application are tedious at best, but for us, they didn't work on any of the 4 laptops we installed on. I had to manually download the drivers and mess around to get them to work (Windows 10, 8 and 7). Finally, I got them all to work, but never "cleanly" through the provided app. After about 10 weeks of intermittent use from different in-home devices, suddenly we could no longer connect to the printer. I've had to install/reinstall the drivers before. Now, I can print through the network (but only using the direct IP address of the printer, not be the network name), but cannot Scan. From the Scanner utility, it says that it cannot find the device. Yet, I just printed a test page from it; printer works wireless, scanner does not. Weird. Online support? No mention of this. I'm likely not going to waste time on a support call with someone from APAC that will tell me to unplug my router, reboot the printer, reenter the wireless info, etc. and then tell me they don't know. Unacceptable for such a comparably expensive printer.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The first thing that I would point out is that you should be careful while setting this thing up. Maybe it was just me being clumsy, but I got some ink on my hand. Thank goodness, I did not spill any of it on the carpet. In this age of plug & play, you'll have to be a little patient with this thing. It took me a little over half an hour to get this thing running from scratch. But after that, it's a joy to use. Another thing that you need to pay attention is to put the right color in the right tank. Although there are stickers in the tank compartment to help you, you may miss it. With my 2 yr old getting excited about this new gadget, I could have very well mixed it up. But as I said earlier, once you have set it up, this printer is fantastic. We've always used it on wireless, with my notebook/android device and there have not been any hick-ups. Maybe it was just the timing, but having the scanner specially helped me with a lot of paperwork I was doing. This is a great printer and I loved the bonus ink bottles !

I received this product for free to Test it and review it. The boxing of this product is great, The unboxing experience is simple and straight forward, yet the product is pretty well protected. Setup as many have reported takes 5-10 mins and if you follow the steps is pretty simple. My missing star if for the physical user interface. It is the same interface that epson users should be familiar with, which in my opinion is a bit dated and that makes it hard to navigate (arrows, ok more arrows, etc). So why 4 stars? Let's phase it, how many times do you need to actually use the interface in the printer itself. The ecotank makes this product worth and offsets that small issue. The printer is super quiet, vibration is lower than my other printers, and did I said I loved the ecotank. No more emergency ink trips to the store since Epson includes what should last you a year of printing.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The setup for this printer takes longer than you would think between filling the tanks of ink and charging the system. Setting up a printer quickly is not a feature that makes or breaks a printer, just know that it takes almost an hour. The biggest problem with this printer is also the best feature of the printer, the ink tanks. The problem with the tanks are: • The very real possibility of putting the incorrect ink color in the incorrect tank • The very real ability to make a huge mess. Each different color of ink should have a very specific nozzle that only fits the tank of that color. This would help mitigate a possible big issue and confusion. Having snug tank caps would help mitigate possible mess by locking in place the ink container. Having a printer with the ink containers is fantastic if you hate replacing cartridges every week. Our last printer needed new cartridges every few weeks. It was horrible. This printer is so great and I have not worried about replacing cartridges. The printer is also an all-around great printer and scanner. It prints B&W pages wicked fast and color pages at a very quick speed. The printer would benefit by including a feeder for the scanner but that is not a deal breaker for me. This is a great printer.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Efficient: Printing was fast and easy. With many different modes of input via wifi, direct connection, or through smartphone, printing from anywhere is an luxury. Ink amount is awesome, it will take forever to run out. Compact: The unit is small and would not take up much room on a desk. My only complaint is purely aesthetic. I wish the design were a little more sleeker and updated. Some internal parts seem flimsy though it's probably made of tough material. User friendly: The instructions in the box, on the printer and from the download were easy to follow. Set up was about average at about 30-40 minutes. All the different things this little machine can do are somewhat overwhelming, but I can't wait to utilize this printer/copier/scanner to its full potential.

This is a review for the Epson ET-3600 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Setup was pretty straightforward, but kinda lengthy and tedious since each ink reservoir had to be filled. The 20 minute wait for the ink to charge seemed long compared to other ink jet printers that allow you to snap on a single black and single color cartridge and are immediately ready to print. However, I can only imagine this will be a problem if I'm ever in a hurry to print and run out of ink, though I don't foresee this happening. I love the wifi-printing capability. Immediately after setup I was able to print from my iPhone, before I even set up the printer on my computer. Overall, I'm very pleased with this printer's capabilities and quality.
