This is my first time purchasing anything by Epson and it will absolutely be my last time purchasing from this company. First of all the set up process of the printer took at least an hour. Secondly, while trying to print, there is no option for me to print on plain paper, the only option available is to print on glossy paper, which I don't have an will never need to purchase. Third, when I try to print an image, a BLANK box shows up on the MIDDLE of the sheet of paper and I only get a weird border of the original image I want printed. I will be returning this piece of garbage.

As I pulled the printer out the box I noticed it was appealing and sleek but some parts (ie. the drawers) were flimsy. Not as solid as previous printers in regards to the quality of the paper loading drawers and the flip top scanning tray. I pulled off all the blue tape which secured the printer in the package and followed the instructions on how to place the cartridges in the printer. There are a total of 5 cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, photo black and regular black). The regular black cartridge is double the size of the color cartridges which is nice because I normally print all of my documents in black and white. The printer also has a CD drawer to print directly onto a CD, a drawer to print on photo paper and a third drawer for regular paper. In a home setting it would be fine but this printer would not last in an office setting. The printer also has USB and SD card slots to easily access pictures from your camera. It took me about 10-15 minutes to follow the prompts on the screen for set up. I was able to quickly set up the printer on my network which gave everyone in my household capability to print from their laptops or cell phones. We haven't had any problems with printing from Windows and Mac platforms. I have had issues with printing from some apps such as coupons.com but I am hoping to troubleshoot this soon (I have had issues with this app from other printers). Scanning was simple either using the button on the printer or the printer tab. The print quality is great for documents. Nothing exceptional but definitely top of the line for an inkjet printer. Overall, I would recommend for a basic everyday document/photo printer at home. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review Pros: Decent Quality Print Easy to Use and Set Up Wireless capability Quiet Fast Cons: Somewhat Flimsy Does Not have single cartridge capability Issues with getting certain apps to print

I am very disappointed at both BestBuy and Epson. I purchased this printer because of an issue with my HP printer. Turns out even though the ink is full in my printer it’s not usable. The ink is ONLY used to install the printer. Not only that but now the printer is not even able to scan. When I tried calling Epson, guess what? They are closed and only able to help Monday through Friday 8-5. Not very helpful. Unfortunately the customer, who spends their hard earned money, is thought of last. I haven’t even been able to really use this printer.

Replaced old HP printer, easy to set up, good print quality, is quiet for an inkjet printer. Paper trays don't hold much paper. Its compact, the outfeed tray retracts when you turn it off. The software for it seems like its old and hasn't user interface hasn't been updated since it was introduced.

I don’t understand the negative reviews for this printer unless people are receiving defective units? I found the setup to be super easy, it took me less than 5 min to connect it to my iPhone and to my WiFi. I love the power tray that comes out on its own, that’s very convenient as I’m one to always forget to pull it out and have papers everywhere. The ability to print directly on a disc is also cool but about 10 years too late in my opinion…who still uses discs? The small footprint is also nice. This printer copes and scans and has an automatic document feeder, which usually makes printers bulky. It’s nice having all these features in a small unit. I have had Epson printers in the past and they always take up a huge amount of space. This was the smallest printer I could find that had all the features I wanted. The print quality is good but I wish the colors were a little bolder. I haven’t tried printing a photo yet but given that it has a photo black cartridge I’m assuming (and have read) that photos look stunning. I didn’t buy this printer for photo printing though. The one con about this is the amount of paper it holds. It’s a little on the low side and I think this is because Epson wanted to keep the printer on the smaller side.

Epson has long been a staple in my home for many years and the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Small-in-One Printer does not disappoint. Despite a bit of a flimsy feel to it, the XP-7100 is quite remarkable. It is sleek and compact, it's small footprint design fits easily upon the desk without taking up too much space, and the auto-extending/retracting tray is a nice feature. Setup was super easy, took me all of 15 minutes from unboxing to printing, this includes initializing the ink and installing the software onto my machine. This printer found and joined my wifi nework quickly and effortlessly. The touch screen control panel is intuitive and responsive, and was easy to navigate. Print quality is excellent and speed is good, not the fastest but certainly adequate. The automatic document feeder works very well, as does two-sided printing. Although I have yet to replace the ink, a quick internet search shows replacement cartridges run roughly $48 for the multipack in standard capacity (as of 12/2018). The only real negative for me was the glossy finish as it is a fingerprint and dust magnet. Overall, it's easy to use and super compact with features found on higher-end printers. The Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 has been an outstanding printer from the moment I set it up. The wireless setup was extremely easy, and it connected to my devices with no issues at all. The print quality is fantastic — both photos and documents come out crisp, vibrant, and professional-looking. What I love most is how fast it prints without sacrificing detail. The touchscreen is intuitive, the scanner works flawlessly, and having an automatic document feeder is a huge time-saver. It’s compact, quiet, and fits perfectly in a home office without taking up too much space. Overall, this printer has exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality all-in-one printer that performs well across the board, this is definitely the one to get. Highly recommend!

I have owned a XP-830 for many years and never had a problem with it. When I needed a second printer, I again chose an Epson, the updated XP-7100. It is a gem. Very reliable, easy to install as a net work printer and it prints perfectly. It has all the features you will need, including printing on CD disks. It's size enables me to set it next to me on my computer desk which is a plus. Great printer.

Included with this printer is a power cable and smaller capacity ink cartridges. No wires for connecting are included since I am assuming Epson wants you to use the wireless connectivity feature. I however prefer to connect the printer to my router via Ethernet. Setup was easy. Following the quick start sheet included with the printer really leaves no room for mistakes. If there is a problem the full manual is included on a DVD but I did not have to use it. With regards to print quality the XP-7100 Prints excellent color images and great black text. I have used this printer for Color photos I snapped with my phone and color raster images I created for my small business. Everything looks great when printed on high quality media. I have also printed large amounts of text and vector images (Illustrator and AutoCAD) and those also are crisp and free of aliasing. Scanning was easy either by launching the Epson scan utility from my PC or directly choosing what PC I wanted to send the image to from the printers display. The display is large and easy to read. The only problem I ran into was with my fat fingers touching an option instead of the down arrow on the scrollbar sometimes. I have not used the printers multi document feeder for scanning very much but it handled the 5 pages I fed it just fine and easily hides when not in use. Don't use the setup included on the DVD. This thing is compact and FULL of features! Color Printing, Scanning, Faxing and photo printing just in a nice compact form factor. This printer is a definite winner for smaller spaces where you need an all in one but don’t want to take up a whole desk. Set up is a breeze. Took a whole 5 minutes. The hardest part as usual is tearing all the blue tape from it. They locked the printer down in every possible way with the tape to prevent any movement during shipping. This particular test unit came with single cartridges for each of the colors including a Photo Black one for color Photo printing. Powering up the system for the first time took around 7 minutes. The handy touchscreen kept me informed each step of the way. With Printer head alignment and color corrections, it took about 15 minutes total to set the entire thing up. I love setting up devices and then getting firmware updates. That’s the beauty of the connected devices. It just gets better over time and the mighty Epson delivered on the firmware update. Like the prior Epson printers I have reviewed, this one has a nice clear bright touchscreen on the front for set up. I chose to set up the system using Wi-Fi but there was a connection for a hardwire if that was something you wanted to use. This printer is pretty inexpensive and for that trade-off, it’s not the fastest printer out there or the most quiet. In fact, it’s kind of loud. ;) I might be spoiled by my Epson ET-7750 though. Setting up home printers these days is dead simple. Hooked up to WiFi and printing pictures directly from my iPhone in literal minutes. But for it’s size and price, this is a great printer for normal business documents and I’ve been using it throughout the day without issues. For a home office with moderate printing requirements, this is more than enough printer. Lives up to all the claims and it is easy to use. Set up was easy and it prints fast. Very compact size with a smaller footprint than its predecessor, an Epson 1280 that finally quit printing well after about 15 years.

Good quality photos. WiFi works great. But the printer is VERY slow in getting several sheets of colored pages printed. I finally cancelled the order late in the run, but next time I turned on the computer it started to print THE ENTIRE order. After I cancelled I had a different assignment - it printed fine, then it went right back to the beginning of the color pages. Took two more starts before it finally actually cancelled. Would still recommend to someone who, like I, is retro enough to want a printer that can do CDs and DVDs.

So far this printer has been great. The installation was easy and I had no problems connecting it to the home network. I like the fact that it has a document feed and has the ability to scan double-sided paperwork. It’s a nice little printer for a home and family.

Easy to set up, prints well in black and white and color. Is not as big as our last printer, takes up a much smaller footprint. Would give it a 5/5.

The Epson printer works as expected. The print quality is excellent. I like that it has two paper trays. o]One for 4x6 photo paper and the other for letter-size paper. The tray of letter-size paper holds only 100 sheets, so if you print a lot, you will need to refill the tray frequently. The printer is small in size, so it doesn't take up much desk space. I have used the scanner once and it worked very well. The printer is a bit slow ar printing but gets the job done.

I recently tested the Epson 7100 Wireless Printer, and I’m giving it a solid 4 stars. It prints both text and photos with crisp quality, and the wireless setup was simple enough to get up and running quickly. The design is compact and sturdy, making it a good fit for small offices or home use. However, it does feel a bit heavy when you need to move it. The paper tray capacity is decent for occasional use, but if you’re printing large volumes, it might feel a little limited. One of the standout features is its excellent photo printing quality, which is impressive for its price. On the flip side, the ink cartridges can be a bit pricey, and you might find yourself replacing them more often than you’d like. Overall, for its price, the Epson 7100 is very much worth it if you’re after quality prints without breaking the bank. It’s a reliable workhorse that delivers great performance for day-to-day tasks.
