I had to get this to replace a Canon portable flatbed that was several years old and stopped working without explanation other than age, which has not worked on me. It is smaller, but scans just as large an image. It works with both Windows and Mac platforms. I am happy with it, but frequently use TinyScan on my iPhone instead anyway.

This little printer really came in handy. Easy to store, and prints great pictures.

Scanner works fine, can only do one page at a time, but I guess for the price, it's good.

I purchased this scanner as a way to scan pictures for my mom's Memorial service. It was easy to use. It is the best way to scan pictures for any project.

Very easy to use but a bit time consuming to have to put one sheet of paper at a time.

I always download the newest software, this works with Windows 10 64bit, full page scan is very quick,very easy setup since it only uses a USB cord, no wall adaptor to worry about. clean scanned images.

Compact and lightweight for a full page flatbed scanner. Powered by the USB port, so no extra cable or wall adapter needed. Easily acquires very high resolution images directly through Photoshop. Should do the same with any image editing program.

This was easy to set up, compact and a great replacement for my older scanner. However, I still have not managed to figure out how to do OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which was primary reason to purchase it. Picking up the pre-oredered item during holiday rush season made shopping much less stressful.

I needed to replace an old multi-function device, but did not need a printer, just a scanner. This scanner meets my needs at a good price.

We just love this scanner! It is so easy to use and you can scan more than one photo at a time, which has saved us a lot of time! I did not come with an installation CD as the photos showed, but my daughter download the software from the computer.

The scanner quality is great but just slow and is a bit noisy sometimes even when I'm not using it. The epson software isn't great either, i just use third party software, seems simpler and quicker to use. Good for the price though.

Have used this successfully for a while, so when another one was needed attached to a different computer, this is the one we got.

In late spring of 2021 my existing flatbed scanner of another brand died on me as I was approaching the end of a multi-year project of digitizing thousands (30-50k) of family photos from my parents estate. The direct replacement for what I had (originally same price as the V39) had tripled in price over the prior 3 years. I finally decided it had to be replaced anyway. The V39 seemed to be the most affordable option with high resolution capabilities. After downloading the necessary software & drivers the V39 appeared to do decent work. Color accuracy seems pretty good. Scan speed is reasonably fast. The physical unit does fairly well. My primary issue and the reason for the so-so rating is that Epson software. It doesn't allow for the level of flexibility I had become used to with my previous scanner. There seems to be very limited options for setting scan area, resolutions etc.. It doesn't always retain last used settings. The auto scan function seems to clip edges off of anything that is not a rectangular photo print and even clips edges of those photos as well. It will scan multiple photo prints at once and create separate image files. That feature seems to work well. If I could use the software from the other brand with this unit I would give it a 5-star review. As it is, I may just have to spend the extra to go back to what I had before.

As a backup scanner for my family photo collection it has been a godsend

Love my new flatbed scanner. Very simple to use! I love that I can take it with my laptop when I am copying records for genealogy!

I searched the reviews of scanners because it was important to me that the pictures scan clear. It's a bit slow but the pictures are clear.
