I had the chance to try out the Prosense 17 and I very excited at first, being a long time runner and all. There are some good things about the watch, I like the big face dial, it's easy to read, the GPS connects really quickly and does a decent job at keeping your distance and that's about it unfortunately. I was able to use it for about 2 weeks before giving this review as I wanted ample time to be able to give it a chance and an unbiased opinion but the longer I was able to use it the more I realized the faults it had. 1. insignificant issue I had was the excess wrist band. I would have to fiddle with the wristband every 10 mins as it would come out of its little strap and get caught on everything. I've never had a watch that the wristband was as annoying as this one. 2. A major issue would be connection and loss of connection with my phone. Even during setup I had issues connecting to my phone. I was able to use the music control but once my phone went to sleep it would lose connectivity. Updating the firmware was made problematic because of this issue as well. I spend half of a day trying to get the firmware updated just incase that solved the problem and it seem to be better but I'd still lose connectivity. In conclusion, if you're looking for a watch to run with every once in a little while and keep track of your distance, this could be the watch for you. If you want it to accurately keep track of your steps, I would maybe us it. But if you're very serious about you're runner, I could not suggest the ProSense 17 :(

A Great Fitness Tracker with GPS

The Epson ProSense 17 GPS running watch is a no frills aproach to fitness tracking for runners. It includes GPS tracking so you can save and revisit your walks, runs, and hikes. On the down side, it is not waterproof, so swimming activities can't be tracked. The Epson ProSense 17 does connect to your smartphone, providing notifications when goals are met, as well as music controls, and with the Epson View app, you can view your specific runs, activity levels over a set timeline, set goals, etc. If you are wanting to track activities, this is a great solution, but if you are wanting "smart watch" functionality, then this probably isn't the watch for you.

I'm an avid runner so having a legit running watch is always great in my opinion. The Epson ProSense 17 is a no nonsense GPS enabled watch. Featuring smartphone compatibility, notifications, etc., it has plenty of options to adhere to most needs. No heart-rate monitor, but watch looks good, does well in water, and is small and easily put on the wrist. The best part is the GPS though; it is quickly obtained, and generally takes about 15 seconds at most. It's accurate and the watch is very easy to read. Only issue I've found with the watch is the battery life: it seems to last about 3 days total, with Bluetooth pairing and two (25 min) runs out of the three days. I'm sure if you turned the Bluetooth off it would last longer, but as it stands I do find myself charging it everyday. All in all, though, a great watch and for a really good price.

It serves the purpose but really ended up going back to my apple watch since when running I can stream music. If that is not a requirement. I still like the Garmin running watches much better.
