I bought this as a Christmas gift for a family member, so it has not been set up yet. The Epson Eco-Tank system promises to save a lot on money in ink costs. This model appears to have every feature my family member needs.

I bought this because a previous printer was dying. I had another Epson that was filled with the first generation bottles and was a little leery about another one, because that first generation could be a bit sloppy/messy. They have vastly improved this generation. Filling is extremely easy and no worries about spilling. Very happy about that. As to the printer, extremely easy to set up, controls are easy to read and follow and the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend this printer.

Was not hard to set up although the screen could be bigger to accommodate the thickness of ones fingers when inputting the set up information. Ink bottles are a new innovation for me, but I think much better than the old cartridges and I believe will last longer. for the money the inks bottles are the way to go. I am very happy with the printers size and ease to set up. Could be a little cheaper I think. Time will tell if this printer is worth the cost.

Fantastic value with the ink tanks. So far no problems, and I've used it alot. Still above 3/4 ink, and the extra inks are a wonderful bonus. No back feeder and no auto duplex from the ADF dropped my review a star, but those are the only things I miss from my old WorkForce. Also it's a bit loud, but I don't care about that. Speed is fine. It's a much better per page value than any printer I've ever used, and I've been using Epson since the dot matrix days!

I love this printer. It was so easy to set up and connect to my WIFI. They offer set up, at a cost but I found no need for that. If you follow the instructions, it is very easy. I love the idea of not having to buy ink cartridges all the time! My kitten wasn't so sure the first time I printed something. It is louder than my other printer and the noise scared him. He loves to watch the paper come out of the printers, though!

I like the idea of the eco printer that is not using cartridges. I'm using good paper, but the color printing is ok only. My cheap HP printer that sits next to this one makes color prints that are so much sharper with vibrant colors. But this printer is fast, although noisy, so it will stay with me. I am checking the box that says I would recommend it to a friend because of the eco nature and the speed. But beware if you need nice color in your documents.

I think this is the best printer i have ever had! It is so true to the color you are trying to print. It is fast, efficient, and VERY easy to use! One of the very best perks about this printer is the ink. You actually add the ink into the wells, so you can see it. Final sale, the ink is cheap. for black and all the colors, is it $40. Ink can break the bank with some printers, but not the Epson 4750.

I got tired of buying cartridges that lasted 50-100 pages. So, off I went to BB to shop for a new printer. This printer caught my eye with the cartridge less system! Setup was a breeze. It connected quickly with my home network and profile loaded easily on my computer. My iPhone quickly found it and works like a champ! With two sets of ink (all four colors), I should be set for a few years!!

Noisy, but so far so good...

Printer was relatively easy to set up, though the initial ink charging took a bit of time. Each set of bottles (two sets provided in box) should last for about a year, and subsequent refills shouldn't take as much time, so that's a great feature. Like the much smaller footprint than our previous Cannon MX870. One key negative is it's a rather noisy printer, so much so that I don't print while on a conference call. That's the only major issue so far with this model...

I love this printer. Setup was so easy to do. Connected it to my router and then all devices in the house could use it. Print quality is very good. It took a few minutes to figure out how to turn off duplex printing but I found it. Easy to load more paper. Haven't tried printing a color picture yet. Not having to install print cartridges is great. Filling the ink tanks is very easy to do. All in all, a great printer.

Bought this for our church to print our bulletins & other things we need. I am very happy with the print quality & especially love the fact that I don't have to purchase toner anymore! The toner on our other machine that wasn't that old kept smearing & blotching our bulletins but this is clear & wonderful! A bit noisy at times & a little slower, but goodness comes to those who wait! Would recommend it!

I have had this printer for 3 weeks now. I has lived up to it's description. Easiest printer to use. 1,000 pages printed, mostly color and 2 sided, and ink levels are down just a little bit. Compared to H>P> and Cannon, both would have been almost empty on ink! Only cons that I have found; Difficult to print on Legal paper Unable to find how to set up for double sided and main setting.

If you do a lot of home printing, do yourself a favor and invest in this machine. Easy load, no mess, simple bottle load individual ink. Ink that will las for thousands of sheets of paper. No more going to the store getting refill every 20-30 sheets or so, when you run out. There are three models, if you don’t need to fax, save yourself some money and buy the model with less options,

Best inkjet printer I have ever purchased

I was getting tired of constantly purchasing ink jet cartridges for every ink jet printer I have ever owned. It got to the point that it was cheaper to purchase a new printer Vs replacement ink cartridges. I was really skeptical at first dumping a lot of money on an ink jet printer knowing how much cartridges were going to cost to replace. This has storage tanks for the ink itself Vs replacement cartridges. Epson advertises that its capable of supporting 8500 pages of color prints. I contacted Epson about this and they told me this was possible if I was using like a "Draft" type print setting. I'm currently at 1540 color prints and majority of them were 4X6 photo prints on photo paper. My ink reservoir is at 25% currently....so in the past 13months I printed a total of 980 Black and White documents and 1540 color prints and used 75% of my ink. I still have the second set of ink bottles un opened yet. The print claims of 11,000 black and white are also based on "draft" print settings Vs normal. All in all, I can't complain as most of my color prints were photos on glossy paper. I would have used many standard ink cartridges to print these photos. And yes people state the printer is a little slow, but sit down and calculate what a descent printer using standard ink cartridges costs. Then calculate how much replacement cartridges would be if you print tons of photos. For the price, I picked mine up new with a sale price and a trade in credit....so I only payed around $250-$300 total for this printer.

This is the first EcoTank unit I've used. It was simple to set up, has quality printing and I really like being able to see the ink levels as opposed to the unit telling me when it's low. This feature should allow me to get more copies out of each tank. The only negative I have to this point is that it's a little louder than what I was accustomed to with my old unit. However, it's not a deal breaker.

our last epson was a workhorse until it wasn't...as a small business owner & home school mom, I go through a LOT of ink. The eco feature of this printer definitely caught my attention. so far, we've printed about 2 reams of papers. We haven't tried out any of the other features. It's noisier than our last printer but the cost savings over time for the ink, I fee,l will be worth the trade off.

The print quality is excellent. This Is easier to use then its predecessor The filling of the ink tanks and the foot print of the printer are much better. The ability to hold more paper is also a great improvement. My only issue is with the feed rollers in the ADF. I had to replace two of the ER 4550 printers because of bad rollers and I have replaced one 4750. Overall I am happy with the printer and recommend it to others.

After years of standard ink jet printers--all with small ink cartridges--I finally bought an Epson EcoTank printer. This is actually my second one (first one for home use) and I bought this one because the ink really does last a long time! The printer is more expensive to buy--but when you don't run out of ink for months and months you'll find out how much cheaper it really is to operate.

Easy to set up, to get it online. It works great! Print quality is very nice and love the ink tank rather than cartridges. We have not yet tried to scan function, but if it's like the rest of it so far, it will be no problem. The ability to use legal size paper is definitely a plus. The wireless printing has been very convenient. Not the quietest, but then again, who cares!
